It's Winter, this I know and it comes every Year but still I'm not happy with my current state of FROZEN!!! Where is the Sun, it's out there, it was out there on Friday, but it's sooooooooooo far away from my current location that I woke up to Mr Radio man telling me it was -47C!(-52.6F) BRRR, that weather doesn't even allow for the thoughts remove covers, put feet on cold floor. It makes you want to curl up in a ball and say things like "honey could you drive the boys, I don't want them to stand out there for 5minutes waiting for the bus" or "maybe the boys shouldn't go to school today, what if the school loses power?" and my favorite, "maybe today is the day we should call family PJ Day?" nope I got up and honey drove them to school and dropped them off to the principal who opened the van door for them and got them to school. Now the best part of this story? Honey's Van is older, like uh in 2yrs it will gain classic time line status, and his heater works, Mine? is 11yrs younger, and no heat! zip Nada, not a BIT! We plugged his van in(we really means me, I wasn't going out there!), and so it started up first try, mine? DEAD! no charge at all, battery in frozen state of not going to start by it self. I'm sure somewhere in our garage we have my battery warmer, but I haven't seen it lately.
So that's the cold, well Sunday it warmed up enough to snow, yep, it started about 11-1230pm and went on all day. I think there was a break for a wind or 3 and then it snowed and snowed and snowed, and now today, I have my family PJ Day. Honey snow blowed the driveway, because he says it will warm up again, but with warming up again, will bring, EVIL frozen Rain! so must keep pathways clear as possible, so that we have less slip sliding away. I'm sure it will get cold again. I'll try to get my camera out today and take you all a picture so you can understand just HOW much snow is out there, my world is WHITE! very Very white. In the fall we left a Plastic Chair out on the back lawn, it snowed and froze to the ground before we got to move it, so it's still there but you'll understand when you see the height of the snow vs Chair.
oh how I miss sitting in a chair in the sun... only 8 more weeks to spring right?

Pondering 2009
So it's January, again! 3yrs I"ve been doing this blog, slowwwwwwwwwly filling it in and now I'm here again, another January, another year getting into full swing.
New Years, was just another night, we stayed up kind of, ok so I fell asleep inbetween examining my eyelids and then opened them long enough for my midnight kiss, and went to sleep almost instantly. The house for the month of December was full of "yummy" and bad for us things. We had tube chips, and bagged chips, we had cookies and squares, and cakes, and a night of highly fatted fried chicken and I didn't do quite enough work outs. The last 2wks were the worse. A few bad habits wont kill your goals but a lot of bad habits? uh yeah they add up, so I'm going to the Altar of Truth on Wednesday night so see the damage. I did need the break and that part was enjoyable, it's fun to just let go for a bit. I needed it,NOW though I need to recover. hA! recover, what a word.
The gifts I got for Christmas were helpful. I got a George Foreman Grill, well it's a G + Broil, and it's nice. My only flaw is that I've been "wrapping" my grilled meat! and uh the wraps are adding to the calories...oops, oh and the cheese... I will fix this. I'll move on to just veggies and meats. The kids don't seem to be enjoying our new ideas though, they haven't eaten anything I've tried to make them on it other than hotdogs. EWWWWWWWWW
WOW just reading that I've realized just how much I think about food. how can that be healthy? I'm going to have to think about that.

Merry Christmas 2008
Merry Christmas to you all,
Today is the Day, the massive Wrapping Paper Sacrifice. My Living Room is full of colourful paper and gifts and boxes and the kids are all quietly zoned out of the real world and into the world of Nintendo DS games. They are super Happy. I'm happy too. I sit here with my warm Coffee, and my cozy Periwinkle Fleece http://www2.marks.com/productImages/product_2682-lrg.jpg hat, and scarf, I had to forgo the gloves while typing way.
TJ got a Chess board, he and daddy will be lost for hours in the evening in the challenge of brain powers and strategy, to see which will win and who will try to win the next night. He had a $store version of the game before but now this is classy looking wooden pieces.
AJ is Testing his Brain with Brain Age for the DS, he's doing well and learning his Multiplication tables quickly. YAY! for learning and playing.
MJ is putting together his Mega Blocks Mickey Mouse club house, what a fanastic idea Santa had! he's got pluto chasing Mickey now and they are off on an adventure... wait Mickey just asked for Toodles... hmmm wonder what kinds of tools Toodles will come up with? Imagination Rocks!
Hubbie is having a nap, he's all tired out from trying to fly his plane, launched from it's SUV across the Kitchen without falling into the Turky roaster. (did you see my eyes roll?) When did Santa decided he was a boy too? I do hope he shares his toys like the boys share theirs with him...?
Mass last night was nice, very nice, the boys enjoyed it and got a lot out of it, they watched the pageant, and they listened to the gospel and rang their bells with gusto, for every Gloria. That was so much fun, it's fun to hear and see people you don't get to see every Sunday.
In other News our roof well that didn't survive the last Winter storm, we had high winds of 120km per hour, so yesterday Hubbie spent his time putting our Alaska-ish, we'll fix it in the spring, Tarps up. We hve 3 tarps and there was no sign of reindeer having fallen off the roof after slipping down the blue roof on the tarp of the new CRUST of ice layered on top. This moring the Sun is shining so we are hoping that it wont melt too much up there to the point of coming through. The roofing companies will be oh so happy to see us coming in March/April/ May, hmmmm I wonder how long it will be winter this year... BRRRR!
