Another Mom trying to keep up with my 3 Young Men(no longer boys) and remember all the great things going on in their lives. This is where I write my thoughts. If you want to read, go ahead, pull up a coffee. Lately it seems I talk more to and about the lawn furniture than the kids.
So I was waiting for Hubbie to come home at supper and go out with MJ to the Doctors office yesterday. We got a quick appointment with the Nurse Practitioner lastnight to check out a Gash in his chin he got while "bouncing". I say 'stop bouncing"' but he doesn't listen and yesterday he bounced right into the kitchen counter SMACK! I put a bandaid on it but wanted to verify it didn't need stitches. It went very well, off to the office we went. We could have gone to the ER but I thought that might be a bit more excitment then necessary for the 1/2inch gapping gash. Got it fixed.

The view from my front door out through the screen porch to my neighbours woods. I love that I get to see this and it's not plastic leaves! I'll have to decorate for Halloween soon, some of my neighbours have started to add pumpkins and scarecrows. I didn't catch any nice pictures of them though.
This is in my side yard.... I took MJ and AJ out for a walk on Saturday afternoon while the Hubbie and TJ were out helping a friend move into her new apartment. Yes I have 3 boys, Yes my youngest son's bike is pink? No we don't care because that bike? FREE~! now that's living on a budget!! It still peddles and it even carries rocks, there were some rocks all over the end of the road here and hard to walk on so we piled them into the back of the Trike and put them in the Big Puddles at the end of my driveway.
And this is what I found on my lawn, ok I found Many but it's fall! it fell there, I'll leave it until the spring, it will protect the lawn from the heavy snow, and fertilize as it decomposes. Free Fertilizer!
And finally I couldn't leave this picture out, this tree is now 1/2 naked but on the weekend it looked like this. It was a slow and peaceful weekend and these trees are changing in that same fashion, slow and peacefully.

Tuesday is back! yep it's back it's almost my favorite day of the week now this makes posting easier because I've got a bunch of things to say but the don't take up a whole posts.
My internet company is still suckage, apparently according to others we'll get a HUGE "bill" that will quote the amount of overage and the a -that amount minus the 25.00 cap! oh joy. Why? I'll never ever really know I'm sure. 2wks, to blow through 95G? I suspect the boys were watching Webisodes of their favorite cartoons? That no TV thing is probably part of the cause.
We've already had homework struggles so many struggles that the boy had weekend homework. Middle child syndrome I suspect. He seems to honestly think that he doesn't have to do homework, or that someone else will pick up the slack? uh no! not in my house! I've already got my "RED PEN" circles for not initializing the homework book. I hate the Red Pen! it's not MY homework!
The critter count is up again, and I have pictures! The chipmunk came back, and climbed up our screen door, while we were eating supper. We managed to get the camera in time, he wasn't shy at all.
Lastnight I opened the patio door to get some fresh air coming through and what do I see at my back fence? 4 deer. It looked like 1 Does and 2 fawns. The fawns didn't look so tall. I got a "tail" picture.
I didn't move fast enough but Hubbie was in another window and saw them too! so I'm not lying! I'll find those pics,(that's totally a tail, see, ok click on it, it's his butt! back two hooves and that little tiny whiteness is his tail flicking as he Hightails it out of there) may have to use my laptop though, I wonder if I can leave them apples? I had some weeds? that grow along the edge of my lawn and it's missing all it's leaves about 2/3of the length of it. I'll go out again today and see if they ate the other third while we were sleeping. No signs of Bear though, YAY!
The fall color pictures are coming too. I did take some, but I have to upload to the laptop and then post from there. So I have to draft on here, then upload on there then post to the draft. How sad is that? and I have a personal Tech... Sad! Maybe I really should pick up those programming and HTML books in the basement and learn this stuffs myself?
Interesting fact as told by the kid in grade 3! Covered Bridges are also called Kissing Bridges because they are dark enough to steal a kiss?This is what they are teaching in the school system up here...? I'm not so sure that's a good idea, I've met my Hubbie, I've heard his growing up stories. I've met their grandfather, I think it's genetic!
I've decided some of the other fall pics need their own post. So there may be more today or tomorrow. We've got cross country running tomorrow. I must remember to bring the Camera.
1. One week ago _it was still summer, but well now it's definitely fall and if I thought the trees were colourful last week? This week is even more colourful. I need to get me some pictures to show you all___.
2. ___Kids could go out anywhere on their bikes and come home before the lights came on the poles,_______ when I was young.
3. Mama told me _____that if I kept making faces my face would stay like that, especially when sticking out my tongue at others___:P___.
4. __I have no idea if this sentence will turn out grammatically correct but maybe we can get it right together, nope see it doesn't suit to end with -------->_________ you and me.
5. Take your time ____and enjoy all fall has to offer. My Profile picture was taken last fall during this same weekend for what is called Open Cities,where different places of business and government services are open to the public. My Picture is me standing on top of a light house that usually costs 5.00 to go in and walk up but on "free" day it's free. Hubbie and I went last year alone but this year we are hoping to take the boys with us. It's a good walk or stroll down town. Last year we went on a tour of one of the oldest Anglican Churches in Canada, the Play House and the Light house. It's a lot to try to fit in within the 1-4pm window but I think it will be a great education. There are also sometimes live bands playing in the Park______.
6. _______I'm hoping that my youngest son's thumb sucking habit___ will pass!
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to _movies with the boys tonight it's raining now maybe it stop and we'll walk too____, tomorrow my plans include _time out and about with the boys, their full week of school will be over and we can move into weekend mode and enjoy each other instead of the "do this do that" of the school week____ and Sunday, I want to _get to mass and again have angels in my pew, the boys had their first school cold last week so didn't get there and I was bummed about that, they also missed Sunday School but with all this talk of the incoming Flu every sniffle is suspect you know? So we've had week of going to school with the common cold and getting healthy so bring on the weekend____!
Tuesday, it doesn't change much here, I'm going to just start rambling. Last weeks ramble got a bit long maybe I'll be randomly short this week?
Our local High School is raising money to go to Edinburgh (that totally looks like it needs an o in there?) and so they are going to be going door to door this week to collect loonies. I think it's a good idea, but I'd much rather them say "pick up garbage" vs be handed out loonies? what happened to the idea of raising money for these trips by working? i know they need time to practice and fit in all their homework but uh we had to do that too? well not "me" but I'm sure others I went to school with? I'm going to be getting my kids out there "earning" their loonies. I'm pretty sure there will be neighbours that need yard work completed?
The yard work? it's still out there, the yard actually for a change looks good, so I'm not waiting for the white stuff to cover up the mess yet,maybe next month. The leaves are turning and falling and it's pretty today. Amazing high for today to be 25C (77F) not bad. The first day of fall starts at 718pm tonight and did you knwo that today's daylight is only 12hours and 10minutes long? I just went playing around on the weather network web page today.
The critters count, more animals have shown up this week, a squirrel showed up on my back deck. I suspect he's going after the pine cone seeds that are all over the deck, he's not exactly shy though, and he's gray. We had Brown squirrels on the island, black in Ottawa and now here it's gray.
School is in full swing and my boys are reaching the age where they are competing for everything. They compete for who gets off the bus first, who gets off the bus last, who has how many friends, how long they can hold their breath. They both goes out for Cross country tomorrow, luckily they will be in different races! I could only imagine the pieces I'd have to pick up if they were together and competing?
my internet company is on my nerves again apparently we blue through out limit within 2wks? I'm hthing maybe some little boys were watching webisodes of their cartoons. Still no TV here, my inlaws are going to have a stroke come October when they visit. My FIL can't live without his TV and Sports fix, but no reception here means no TV.

And...here we go!
1. My car _is a van with two sliding doors, but this week? my drivers side slider is stuck and according to my Hubbie and the guys at the shop it's going to take a LOT Of work to get it unstuck because it's not just stuck but locked and stuck and in order to fix it we have to get the unlocked to work! I'm not happy. I did get to drive the new car this week. I don't like it, it's a sporty car I feel small on the road____.
2. ___My Hubbie's Birthday________ is coming up next.
3. Lately, things seem ____rushed, now we have band, bowlingX3, Cross country Running X2, and me trying to fit in my work out time_______.
4. _____The bathtub, with a book,______ is one of my favorite 'hiding' places.
5. What happened ____to those days when my kids were tiny and liftable? Now I've got kids as tall as my shoulders or belly button_______.
6. _____Losing weight______ is not impossible! (not gaining it back is the hard part)
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to _my big walk while the kids are home playing with hubbie, and then maybe some movies with the kids____, tomorrow my plans include ___take the kids bowling, playground hopping while it's still warm enough, late night walking for me before the sun sets__ and Sunday, I want to __have great a Sunday mass experience as last week,I didn't have to waggle my finger or whisper to anyone in my family about their behaviour, it was calming and I was one happy Mommy, Praying we get a Sunday like that this week too___!
Oh look it's me again, back for another post. This totally come under the "me" part of my life. I love walking and walking fast, and getting the job done. It works much better when I have someone to walk with or music to listen to. This fall I'll be listening to music. I've lost my walking partner. We were slowly drifting apart for different reasons but this past year was the end. Her daughter is in her last year of Highschool, my youngest hasn't even gone to school yet. Her youngest is a year ahead of my oldest and that was our connection. My boys play with her boy. Her daughter was our sitter. Not now. Another wedge.
So my walks are a bit less then I'd like, when I had someone with me I'd go every night when I have no one there to go too, it's hard to motivate to get it done. My boys are not good walking company. It's hard to walk when you are telling other people to stay out of the middle of the street. My hubbie of late has been 'doing stuff before it's dark' and that's cutting into my walking time. I'm struggling. If only my bloggy friends would walk with me! I can't though walk with a laptop and I don't have a cellphone and I'd end up walking into traffic so I use my music. I plug in my earbuds (repeatedly they never stay in) and off i go. If it's getting dark fast? I've been known to run the last 1/4 mile. I'm not a runner. It's dangerous, there's that fear of concussion and possible chest related injuries.
Maybe I need a dog? A puppy wants to run fast right?
Now I'm not sure if we're going back to every week update officially now that the summer of excess is over, but I'm going to try to keep posting HASAY on Monday. (Waving to Casey and other HASAY-ers!!!) I need more accountability. I can't seem to get this done when no one else is doing the ah ah ah finger.
This guy always pops in my head when I think of keeping a journal and keeping myself accountable. This past weeks news? well O-M-G I was very very shocked to stand on the altar of Truth and see another 4lbs. I sat in the meeting while listening and going over in my head all the things I did or didn't do that weekend and then the bacon and gumdrops and hot wings came back to haunt my thoughts. I just can't do those things anymore. I wasn't a small person to start but when you keep adding those kinds of foods to the pile on top of your salads and other bites licks and tastes. (BLT), well the truth comes back to me! I am now almost starting over. I'm now almost 30lbs over goal. (deep breath) so There you have it the Truth, and it wasn't someone else adding to the pile! it was me! This week since Thursday morning I've kept a journal every bite, and every walk too. I'm not planning to eat my activity points earned. I've got to get back on target! BTW it's a good thing that Thinsations only come in a box of 12pts, and it's taking a lot of will power today and tomorrow not to take MJ to the store for a "treat". That store sells Fudge, chips, and high fat crackers and candy!!

2. ___I'm not sure what would work best in this line so i'm going to keep saying stuff like this until but the other fillins give you more answers about us so just skip this one_______; I'm over here! ! ! ! \/ 3. The possibilities include: ______sleep, wiggly eyes or sleeping with wiggly eyes_____.

And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to __VGNO (see below this post)___, tomorrow my plans include __Bowling with the boys, a walk through the park and home for leftover pork and salads and then some more "me" time___ and Sunday, I want to __Get the boys registered for Sunday School, get my butt to mass, cause well summer is over and God might really forget where I am at the rate I'm going, and then help entertain a friend and her kids while my Hubbie fixes her car, she doesn't have a hubbie for this so I will only lone her mine, and he must be returned___! Ever notice that once people know you can do something they want you do do it for them? just saying...
Hey all, i'm in! yep I'm in for the night. Our first "week" of school is in and done! we survived. Did someone mention sleep? Fridays are for staying up late so Hubbie took the older boys out somewhere. I didn't ask where? I wonder if I should have. I said "is this boys night out?" haha! next I'll find out he's taking them out for wings and beers before I know it! MJ and I are here watching Space Buddies. It's a cute movie but I think my favorite part is the music.
So while the boys are out I guess it's time to turn up the music and dance around the house a bit. I will not be drinking this evening, too many Cals for me! even with the diet cola. Oh but for supper tonight I did make some pork! on the BBQ I had bought some marinated chops from the Grocerystore last week and when I look at the nutrional info, I found out just why they are so tasty! wow~! 19g of fat? pass! I made a special trip to the Grocerystore today with MJ and picked up some plain lean Pork boneless porkchops, better! 5g of fat "per", ha! much better. I came home I got out my Chipolte Chili powder, Garlic salt and montreal steak spice, and my mallet! Excellent!! and I MJ liked mine better then the others, so he ate them! I love it when they eat the food. It was good too! yummy so doing that again sometime soon. Totally worth the gas I spent going into town.
So Did you see what Ann thought up week? what a great idea! As the postal Service is unreliable up here I'll bow out since it seems to take more then a week for anything to reach my mail box. I'm still waiting 3wks now for an anniversary card from my MIL on the Island. I could have picked it up there last weekend if I had told them we were going to be on the island but as with most plans here when it comes to travelling with the boys we need to plan but not let them know until the last minute so as not to disappoint both the Grandparents and the kids!
I know it's GNO and going all Mom, I've been doing this Mom thing for 10yrs now it's hard to remember where Kyooty is some days. The Heart (like that one Ann, just for you) of the matter is that I'm here and I'm Mom! Hubbie is heading out tomorrow night for a Spice Night I've decided to stay home. No puking over the deck from pure concentrated hot pepper juice, for me. I'll find something to do once I have the boys all tucked into bed. Maybe I'll come back tomorrow and keep you all entertained again?
This is the season when I get a little crazy and start cleaning up the stuff around the yard and house. I will not be so mean as to leave poor abandon chair out there in the yard again. We'll see how that goes, because if it's sunny on say November 16th and Snowing on the 17th it could happen. The word Lazy does show up in my brain from time to time. I try to get things away so that the snow will not freeze or crush the kids toys and "things" The swing set has shown signs of damage this year. The rust is not pretty it might match the Hubbie's car but it will not match my house. I think I will have to spray paint it ,which brings us to Question #1? will it make a difference? I guess I'll need some kind of weather resistant paint?
Question 2. Was just putting away our tents. We have 2 this year, I know crazy for people that have issues with turning on and off the pump at the cottage but there you have it, tents. How is it that when you buy tents or are given tents by family they come in these cute bags with Zippers and pockets and uh no matter how many times you pull those zippers they dont' close. I feel like I should have experience in being able to do this, I've managed to squish my "summer" figure into some pretty tight zippers so why is it that the tents and poles and sleeping bags, extra carrying bag and flies wont fit back in the bags? I tried laying the bag on a table, I tried laying it on a bed, I tried laying it upside down and jiggling it slowly tooth by tooth, still not way was that zipper closing and that stuff doesn't fit! maybe the tent needs a new size bag? Like I need new pants? I'd take a picture for you but again my technical advisor (Hubbie) support likes to get paid for his work and he has been working for me! He did remove a CPU tower from my livingroom that wasn't being used so that's something.
Question 3. Sand, as you read this summer we spent a bit of time on the beach, with the beach comes sand, will sand kill my vacuum? Has anyone seen my Vacuum? I know that I heard a vacuum sounding machine in early August when inflating the slide for the inflatable pools but it seemed to be doing a blowing of air thing vs cleaning up. I think the slide part of the pool is full of uh dust bunnies now.
Question 4. Do Dust bunnies go bad? If they are contained in the slide body will they uh multiply will that "plastic" keep all that bunny activity to a dull roar... Speaking of Roar...
Question 5. If I put out a compost pile for the winter will it just freeze and keep the critters away or will they try to live in it to keep warm? I've read that sometimes compost piles are warmer then the rest of the yard, will this keep the snow from landing in my yard? nah I didn't think so.
And Finally Question 6. If I cover the planter that MJ and I planted LATE in the summer which produced 5 cucumber blossoms and 6 leaves out of 8 plants, do you think I can use the same seedlings next year? like if I put aht compost mentioned in #5 over a layer of tarp and then another tarp over that on top of the planter box, do you think it would keep things warm? or is -40C with the wind chill a lost cause?
These are the things that float around my brain this early fallish September Day.

The boys headed off to the bus today! She arrived on time and it seems that nothing changed, I'm not sure yet if the boys will have the same teacher.
Hubbie changed around my computer so i'm stil working out the bugs on how to get photos uploaded! I'm bummed too because this is like the first year in 6 of having school kids that I remembered to take pictures at the busstop!
Was on the island on the weekend. The new car! totally saved us some gas$ 50litres to get to a certain location that usually took us 90litres(<------ yeah I'm all bilingual there can't you tell?) in my van. I will totally still be taking the van for all "big" trips that require any stuff. The trunk was a good size. I gave all the boys backpacks vs suitcases, and still had room for a large cooler, and boys toys.
Sunday we BBQed at the cottage, the weather was perfect, not to cold and when the clouds rolled in you just had to wait for it to pass before getting warm again. No one got sunburned.
Hubbie manned the BBQ with my Semi BIL and they made the most perfectly cooked steak! Did you know that Hotwings taste better on the BBQ?
My Dad had and ATV for moving stuffs around up there and Hubbie gave it a whirl the rest of the day was spent saying "no you can't buy one of those too!" My Brother and his family all do "dirtbikes" so off they went to the dirtbike trails. Much dirt was had by all. My youngest sister also got herself on a dirtbike! my Semi-BIL was all "no this is not going on your Santa List!" I said the Same to Hubbie.
AJ took off into the woods with my Brother but didn't tell me where he was going. I've never been in teh woods there, so I'll give that a go next year.
No tires were harmed in the taking of this trip!
I think I will need to bring the Captain with me next year though, it's definitely a nice trip down when you have SpongeBob along for the ride. Season Disc Sets are a good investment, on sale or not!
This week Hubbie is heading for a Spice Night, i was going to go too but I'm not that into puking over the side of the deck when encountering something a bit too hot for my tongue. Remember what goes in must go out and if you mouth is in searing hot pain then surely your other end will be too later in teh evening? I'm just putting that out there. (see I didn't say any unpg words, but my kids are totally going to love reading this in 10yrs time)
So off they went this morning to grade 5 and 3, no more "little kid" side of the school until next year. MJ and I are home alone! he's now feeding the cat, "your favorite snack..." (said to the cat, her reply"meowwwwwwwwwwwwwww, oh the humans are back in the house"
Even the cottage had better TV reception then I get here! this is rediculous!
So now I'm going to declutter some toyboxes and dresser drawers of clothes and toys that don't fit and get my Christmas Music CD's Ready.
If that means I'm still telling you that I'm in the group and thinking about my weight everyday? Yep that's me. I think it will be me for the rest of my life. I'm not a person that can sit down and eat a pint of ice cream and not think about it. I'm not the person that will "forget to eat", yeah really? forget to eat? who does that? I've never in my life forgot to eat?
I did though go back to the altar of truth so I have a number to give you and it's not pretty! I'm 25.6lbs over goal? yeah I know I'm still not happy. After that weighin I got my paper work out, and my books and wrote down everything. I knew this weekend would be hard, it's like every weekend when we go to the island. There must be pizza and there must be family. Family and food go together like milk and cookies.
My summer was a struggle. August was a bust. I went to the island end of July and face the altar of truth and so while I was ignoring that big load of dirt in the yard? it got bigger, another dumptruck came and dumped a load, I will be back to working on the load. I will continue to think about the food I eat and the exercise I do. The total gained from June24th-Septemer 1st was 4.4lbs! so if I look at that number and look at what I did it tells me I'm still in, I'm still here and I'm still Trying to be HASAY!!!* Half As Small A You!
In other news, my 20yr highschool reunion is in 2yrs so I've got to get it done for that too!

3. Right now, I can hear these things: _____the Radio playing 80's music, the ceiling fan, the breeze in the back yard, the keyboard keys,_hubbie complaining about all the things I left on the bed when he's trying to get in it,____.
4. ____School starts Tuesday_______ and I'm glad _____because everyone here really needs to get back to routine, and some other goals I have to complete which will work better with routine______.
5. The last time I ____was at goal was June 2004_______ was ______pregnant____.

For the most part I keep it pg-ish here, because my kids are almost always around. I'd hate for them to come upon my Blog say 6yrs from now and be horrified by what I talked about? I keep it clean for that reason. I also keep it closed for the most part because you know what? it doesn't matter how closed it is? it's out there. I know this, and I know someone will find it, hi to those that found me.
The boys will be in school in 8days! oh joy of bliss, 8days, I'm counting down.
Fall is here the leaves started changing in late June but now it's becoming way more advanced, there are less leaves on one of my trees then there are on walk way under it.
I have no sound. I have no sound so I Can't click on videos because there is no sound. I can't hear the music that other blogs are playing because I have no sound. It's a not enough outlets in the surge protector vs plug for speakers issue.
We bought a car, yes we finally settled, we means the Hubbie he settled on a Orange car. I don't know thought ORANGE was a good colour for a car? but no I wouldn't have picked it. Everyone will see him coming a mile away. He knows how I feel about the colour, the price is what won us(him) over. It's also less gas mileage then the van. So much for waiting for spring to buy a car?
The gopher hasn't been back in the yard this week he's out there I can hear him screaming at me while I hang the clothes but he's hiding behind the cedar fence. The squirrels are also angry at me for hanging out the clothes on the line.
A blue jay just landed on my tree with less leaves then the walk way, it then left a present on my van! it couldn't' leave a present on the old van nooooo it had to leave it on MY van!
Kids? they really don't care that it's getting colder all my kids keep talking about it winter and sliding and playing in the snow.
