Friday Fill-ins February Meltage

1. New experiences and possibilities _can be difficult. I'm not exactly a outgoing personality on the other side of this computer. (Shhhhh! now you know)____.

2. _Going over to a friends house for tea____ unexpected turn on a daily walk _and now I'm loving it. She didn't know I was going to drag her with me____.

3. I'm looking forward to __next Sunday, my Baby will have his 6th birthday. Any game ideas out there? Someone has to know how to entertain 6yrold better then I do___.

4. _The melting of snow today____ never have imagined.

5. Try to find the chair_____.

And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to Pizza night and a movie with the boys (not picked out yet)_____, tomorrow my plans include __house cleaning, ick, maybe book store browsing with the boys___ and Sunday, I want to _get everyone to mass, and sunday school and curling and home again oh wait Curling is cancelled, bummer, maybe we can go watch the River melt? It's a possibility____!

Random Tuesday Thoughts or rambles

The boys had a great Valentine's they came home full of sugar treats, and pencils. I like the pencil valentines the most. They don't cause crazy, and I tolerate the playdough. Pink and purple playdough. The one day designed for GIRLS!

I'm not in a HATE relationship with Zynga. They aren't exactly "speedy" in their support tickets are they? my poor frontierville is lacking some serious images. I might be a bit addicted. It's the morning coffee and clicking that relaxes me, but it's been a week since I've been able to play. I think it's because I don't pay to play? It doesn't give me much confidence in their game though if there are bugs when I'm not paying? Can you imagine how ticked off the people that pay are?


I've had a headache for most of today, it could be because of the chocolate I ate? or is hummus bad for you? Anyone? like if you lick the bowl? I really love that stuff, but I'm sure some scientist will tell  me it will kill me.

snow updates for those that care... I've lost my chairs.

WOW! I think I just saw my oldest son wearing his hat? This is almost newsworthy. I mentioned it yesterday because he has a tendency lately to think he's "too old" to wear a hat? and gloves? (did you see that snow up there?? yeah that stuff doesn't come with WARM temps)




Also I think I may have failed the Teacher Appreciation presentation yesterday. My circle wasn't exaclty a circle on the top of the ice cream container but maybe I got reports for reusing? I wonder?

Also Rogers? you aren't exactly giving me what I'm paying for? how many times does my connection have to flake in an hour? CRTC wants to cap this? are you kidding me?

Happy Valentine's Day

Today will be a Quiet day at home watching the snow fall. Yep it's snowing again. I guess that's what we get for having Valentine's in Winter?

I also dropped these off at the school today for Teacher Appreciation Muffin Monday.

Question: has anyone ever come in contact with a set of Disney Health Encyclopedias? I can remember my mom having a book/toy party at the house when I was 12? and these books were her gift for hosting. I read all  4 of the ones she had cover to cover. I even loaned one out to a teacher in grade 8. It had some good details that some parents may not have talked about. I wonder if I can snag that book this summer to leave laying around the house or cottage? I'll have a 12yrold this summer.

And there's another random point, it's February already, my youngest is turning 6 this month. I haven't even figured out what to do for his cake. I was debating using my bunt pan that I got for cat sitting, and cutting it in half to make an s shape worm? but really? is that cool enough for a 6yrold?

We have officially blown out 1 full knee of his skipants. He's going to have to wear some extras I had that he didn't like for the rest of the winter. Hey only 5more weeks... funny how the Groundhog said "early spring" mostly because was hiding in his hole and wouldn't come out? really isn't that a sign in itself"?

I do love the snow on the trees

My oldest didn't make the Bowling Team this year, he will be an alternate. I think I'm more bummed then he is? He's going on the trip with Hubbie anyway so

that he can be there is something happens, but chances are? he wont be playing for the provincials. Next year! first time in I think 4yrs he isn't on a provincial team?

Food? Did you know that football = food? I thought it was fun enough when a live hockey game meant beaver tails (head out of the gutter momspective!)  I'm talking Canadian Beaver Tails with all cinnamon sugar goodness. Also Hotdogs, Beer, and of course the other snack foods that come with watching the games. I think maybe it's time to go to a game here. The boys might be all kinds of excited. It might give them something to alk about. AJ really enjoyed watching the Football game Sunday. He wasn't even just watching for the food and commercials. Could it be in his American Born blood? hahah

Did you know a Platypus... no I didn't either and then it totally left my brain the second TJ handed in the assignment.

Hodge Podge Wednesday,

I'm in for the hodge podge again this week. I think I've turned into a meme blogger? It's always great to  have someone out there giving me the great ideas.

1. Would you rather be seen as a person who did their duty or forged their own path?

My own path. I don't even really know what my duty is? Is there really a duty? it's my duty I guess to myself to BE myself? so maybe forging my own path is my duty... I might need a do over on this question?? 

I'd like a do over on the skating day and get to the rink 4minutes earlier. 

2. This week's Wednesday Hodgepodge happens to fall on Groundhog's Day. In keeping with that theme, if you could have a do-over of any one day out of the last seven, which day would it be and why.

3. Hot cocoa...yay or nay on the marshmallows?

GOT to have the mashmellows if it's Caoco because Caoco is just a tad too bittter.  If it's cheaty already mixed and ready for you hot chocolate? I can make my way through without the marshmellows.

4. Do you wear makeup every day? What are the top two must haves in your daily makeup routine? 

I've newly started wearing makeup everyday. Must have lipstick. (I sell avon so I've got to work the billboard that is me) Also eye liner. I can leave the rest off if I'm rushed. I like to wear foundation that is almost exactly my natural tone, (no tanning here), blush, eye liner, mascara and lipstick. I like Dark brown eye lashes vs black but I have both. Reminder! Spring is coming got to get my water proof mascara so I don't look like a raccoon when the rain comes.  oops talk about a tangent

5. Is it more important to you in a relationship to be loved or understood?

Understood because that would mean I'm loved, it's a package deal. 

6. Parsley sage rosemary or thyme... your favorite?

Rosemary, I love it on roasted potatoes. yummy!

7. What do you do when you feel angry? 

steam... I seem to keep a lot of my angry undercover.

Radom Tuesday, sick day

so today I have 1 child home... so much for mom time...I may have to go for a walk in a bit.

Mr middle child went skating with the school today, he did pretty good. I almost didn't go and meet him there with mr oldest being home but I got it together. He called home and sounded like he was almost in tears because he thought he forgot his skates. Last week "I don't like skating, I dont' want to go skating.."  I think once they are going with their classmates? it's easier.

Also how unCanadian, kicking the Mom off because she's not wearing a helmet? That part kind of ticked me off. Skating is almost one of the almost affordable sports between 40.00 skates and free ice times?  until you add in all these rules.  Also figure Skaters don't wear helmets? have you seen them twirl? I went skating almost all my childhood without a helmet. It's not hockey! If it were hockey? I could see the reasoning.  I can also see kids wearing helmets because they are just learning. I guess I'll have to stick to free skate with the city rinks. It's turning in the whole bike helmet thing.

Sweater Day? have you heard of this? haha sound like the day the schools start turning the thermostat down 2C and don't want the kids to notice... yeah



Spring? I hear it's coming... tomorrow I guess is the official count down? Anyone got a spare groundhog?  yeah it's February I'm allowed to want spring now.

So with oldest home we're getting sucked into blah reruns. Oh well we'll call it family time?

Chipolte hummus? not good... nope...

BTW has anyone actually changed their "emails" this week and sent out notices to that affect? just saying..
