Struggling

Mr. E Bunny is coming this weekend. I will have to hide the chocolate/candy/eggs/ stuffs much better then usual. I'll have to have him hide them from me after the kids find them. I'm weak!

Random Tuesday, it's all about ME being the Aunt

Remember yesterday when I said I will never understand boys? well Boys they are Boys! My 5yrold just ran up to me hopped up on my leg with his butt in the air and FARtED!  BOY!!! I will never escape being a Mom of boys!  I Blame their Father! and the Reading of Captain Underpants (novels).

Another Boy thing just now "Mom Where's my pig?" huh~ oh piggy bank? Why? theres nothing to put in it. 


My Sister had a Baby Boy Sunday! YAY! She now has 2 boys, hehe My younger Sister says "My Rugby Team of Nephews is coming along nicely" I just laughed!

Little WDW looks exactly like his older brother, from the pictures I've seen. Poor me the Aunt, the important Aunt (not the younger sister and her dreams for Rugby domination) is not going to get to meet him until the Summer, when I again try my hand at single Parenting in the back woods of the Island.


Oh but with a bunch of boys around, maybe they should all learn to change tires? Yes I think this will be the summer or Tire Changing lessons.


My Niece is probably going to be the most excited,she's the reigning princess. She'll stay the princess! HaHA! !!

WDW didn't have a name Sunday, but now does, No they didn't name him Walt Disney World. Tempting though isn't it? 


It's raining again today. TJ is home "sick" Hubbie went to wake him for School this morning but he was coughing up a storm. I suspect he'll have Hubbie's sleeping problems. Apnea sucks!


Yesterday in Critter Counting, we were counting birds. Last Saturday we saw a Woodpecker, so I went off looking up pictures. It turns out there is 1 that is extinct and wow this guy looks like him. I'll have to invest hop off to the $ store for binoculars.

MJ is addicted to NickJr games online. He's singing the songs without the page being booted up! Right now he's trying to crack my pass word on my laptop.

You know if I died or got hit by a bus today/tomorrow any day? What would be out there in internet space without passwords? What would show up? Would anyone be here reading? Oh yes the Zombies as noted by Keely would.


So we're at the end of the grocery run here, I've got to get more tomorrow. Yesterday, the boys were due home, they are always hungry, so I made cinnamon buns. 3 boys from 5-10yrs old, ate 9/12 buns, I managed to barely save one for hubbie. Where does it go? oh then i found their school lunches from yesterday, sandwiches still in the bag. ugh!


Burn is almost back to regular color, just 4 pinker then usual and stripey. Is Stripey a word? wait spell check on Firefox says... Firefox is wrong.... and Stripey is  stripy... okay now we know. It also doesn't like ok, OK is fine and Ok is not, and okay is great. oh boy.

Darn it Boys again! will I ever escape Boys? oh but the cat is girly, she's lazing on the bed waiting for someone to come pet her, that's my girl!

Been reading that The Tales of the Beedle The Bard. (spin off from Harry Potter?) and it's borrrrrrrrrrring, no wonder it was only 94cents!

yawn, even I'm yawning... I guess I should just stop typing. It's been 2 days in a row, maybe I can pull off a post tomorrow too?  BTW did you know that it's a short week? Thursday AND Friday off! what happened to school?

Writer's Blog/Block?

I have no idea what to put in here. Random Tuesday's are easier then this because there doesn't have to be a topic, no ryhme or reason to write. Monday's don't make it easier.
I guess if I just start writing something, something will come to mind. I do have a question though. Are boys all easily distracted? Is it in their brain make up? My oldest has seemed to reach the age where he doesn't care about school work? Remember when they first go to school and you say "but the teacher wont like it?" that doesn't work any more. Is it that the teacher doesn't care? or is it that the kid doesn't care? There has to be an answer out there somewhere?
If I hear one more time he's "easily distracted" I'm going to lose it because I can totally see him getting sucked into a book for 2hours at a time and doing nothing but reading? Does that sound like an easily distracted person? I don't think so, if it was me? I'd be reading the book, playing FB games, running the washing machine, and then forgetting where I laid the book and why the laundry detergent went into the Sink with the dishes?

Boys! will I ever figure them out? I'm not sure but oh my sister just had a new Baby Boy this weekend, so I'm sure there will be lots of test cases before they all reach adulthood right?  I don't think I'll ever understand Boys really, I didn't when they were my brothers, or my boyfriends, or Hubbie, and now Sons?

Tuesday hits again, Spring! It's coming

Spring is on the way, I have no doubt. Today the high is to be 14C... ok yes I know you all want to know what that means in USA speak. It's 57.2F . YAY i'll have to get out the shorts soon. Then again... that might not be the best idea this spring. I've been sitting most of the winter. There was that good month in February when I was doing the wii every day for 3wks and thennnnnnnn I found Starfleet Extreme on FB. That game is like a full time job.
  
The puddles are jumpy, the ditches are blah but the chickedees are out. Time to buy the boys new Rubber boots.  One still wants to wear his skipants to school, while the oldest is "too old for that" well finally! it only took putting who huge holes in the knees.

St. Patrick's day is tomorrow, so far my only plans are stew for supper. I need to send out the honey do to get the list as there's no stew meat in the house. There's also no carrots, onions, or other veggies.

My van is broke, Power Steering leaked all over the driveway.  Last Easter it was my Gas tank that was leaking on the driveway, then the Tranmission fluid, then Break fluid, and now this spring we bring you power Stearing fluid?  It makes you wonder if Raccoons like to eat cars?

YAY!! the Fox family is back, they are currently 1 fat mom, I guess we'll see the pups soon, YAY! the Raccoon problem may be solved soon.., I've only seen one raccoon so far, and not since...

So we pulled out a VCR,to watch some old toons we had here and the boys say "I want to watch it rewind"... yep this is all new to them. TJ doesn't even remember the VHS years.   Today MJ is watching some old Christmas in July we watched in the late 90's.

Got a call last week to do some after school care for a friend. Just an hour or so once a week collect her from the bus until mom gets home from work. Last night she called and she's not too happy with the potential employer. The employer called all 12 people that applied in to "train" and then said "we'll call you when we have our 2 places picked" well what the HE double Hockey Sticks! all 6 people from Monday's Training assembled about 20 products each in 2hours, so that's 120 product completed in 2hours for "free?". It makes you wonder what kind of people are running these businesses.  I'm sure the trainees will be looking for a check soon? Labour laws got to love them! I also noticed when visiting the company website that the products aren't doing any "fairs" so it seems to me that maybe her "booming business" is slowing down? hmmmmm and she needed a quick... anyways... I guess that's random enough employment isn't it?

I think though I may resort to doing after school care here in the fall. I want to stay home here with the boys be here when the phone rings because they hit their heads, or just stay home because they are sick, and so on. I don't know how all you working Mom's do it? I know cellphones but we don't have oneof those, people we have no cable and we're watching VCR Tapes.We did have a cell before the kids were older but really, it was just another bill. We have a homephone and did you know there are still such things as payphones? yeah and phone booths! oh and answering machines/voice mail? amazing isn't it. I also don't text. So I'm not the person looking down into their lap at the stop light because I'm texting and driving.

Random Tuesday,no dentist but they called to confirm for Thursday

Well it's Tuesday and usually if you've been reading for the last year that means our dentist wants our money, but this week it's not until Thursday. Wow Changing it up a bit.  I hate the cost of dentistry, is there a standard fee? are they all charging the same? it doesn't feel like it. On the plus side I've got less mercury in my mouth.

Saturday we had one of our new neighbours over for supper with her son 2yrold. I really "wowed" them, (really how do you wow a 2yrold? give him access to 3 boys and 10.5yrs worth of Trucks and cars, he was so happy)I cleaned my house (read:hid stuff behind doors), I made food (read:baked nachos and chopped veggies, and opened chip bags and veggies bags  for dipping in pre-made dip), and I forgot to offer dessert. I think I need more practice at having people over. Maybe more Wine would work better? or BEERS?

The highlight? I burned my arm, yep, I have 4 long red stripes now on my left arm where the oven tray slipped into the oven and onto the element and my body tried to catch it on my arm. OUCH!!!  New friend helped to clean up the oven....oops! next time I'm just going to BBQ, or premade fruit tray it.

The boys had a blast and they all ate their veggies.

No I don't need the last word if that's what you're thinking when you get a reply from me for your comments, I just like to talk. My current at home audiance is 5, work with me.

MJ got money for his birthday, in the form of Money orders and checks because the last time they sent cash it vanished. So yesterday we went to the bank and he signed his checks for the bank teller and we cashed them out. Next stop Toystore. RU? and he picked out Slinky Dog from Toy Story! :) Funny he has Woody and Buzz from the older two and a Potato head or 5 and so next I guess Hammy and BowPeep will be showing up? He totally enjoyed giving the man at the bank his checks, and then the man at the toystore his money.  Darn but they aren't susposed to charge TAX for kids under 14, but they did. I got sucked in for 3.48. :(

MJ is watching the Smurfs, on DVD, he got a Smurf for Christmas and he actually loves it. I know there's a picture here somewhere of my Birthday Cake from 1984ish when I had a Smurf cake.  My Aunt and Uncle made that cake...wonder where that picture is.... AT the rate I'm going I'd have to take a picture of a picture to get it uploaded. SAD that Scanner just sits there hiding my resume... I mean holding it on the desk for me.

MJ also figured out what was wrong with the dVD player? I didn't even know how to do that, Darn it's the VCR days of the 80s when kids were programming the clocks for parents. I've become my parents, but the child is 5!

That green is the aloe Vera I slathered on it. WOW my arm is fat! Crap! must fix that.  OK so now everyone knows wear Long Oven mitts and if the food is falling? let it go, drop the pan and save your arm.

Oh and Spring is coming, I had the windows open Saturday because it was 10C up here in Canada! I know eh... I mean I know right?

My Purse or Their's?

Tagged me in this little Meme and award. which I found so much fun really who doesn't want to talk about all the interesting things that can be found in your Handbag/Purse. So here we go.

First I actually have a "newish" purse, I bought it in December to go to a party, and didn't stop using it. I don't like BIG Bags and I'm finally past the point of needing a bag to also double a diaper bag, YAY! My last purse, my hubbie bought from Sears in New England in 1999, so definitely time for a change. OK so this is what my new purse currently holds....Waiting for pictures... (sorry it's so far away but the strap was long and it really needed to be in there)


The microfilm, a menu for a local restaurant we went to last Wednesday and of course the bottle of hand sanitizer, I bought this bottle in December after I bought the purse. I didn't use much though, it's dries out my hands and up here? dried out hands don't work well.

My dentist would be proud, dental floss, 2 loonies, reciepts,(now cleaned out),a grocery list that was at the bottom of the bag, never remember where the list is when I need it.  Wallet that I love from a different purse and keep using. Pens from a friends business from 1998, pencil with Disney princesses on it from my sister in consolation for having a house of boys and knowing my purse would be full of boy stuffs, she feels for me. She knows, she's due this month with her second, I've got more boy feeling. Then there is the blush and lipstick of course. 

next we have more makeup, MJ's lipsol and MJ's (1)Mitten, "Mom can you hold this.." uh where?  and stuffed in it goes. And that cap? that's his collection, he's collecting water, and pop caps? I'm slowly throwing them away, couldn't he find another thing to collect? please?

Tuesday March Break here we are! Random!

Random Tuesday today go over to here 
to hook up this week, see linking up is even random experience this week.
I feel like a bad randomer, lately it's just not that random around here. The boys are in and out of school home and eat and bed, adn homework and eat and school and go and home.

Oh wait! there is something new, the day before Canada won Olympic gold  (you know and the most Olympic gold on record on home land, and so on..) my oldest one first place for his bowling league for his region. YAY!!! his next step is to go to Provincials. His First String he bowled a 101! This is Candlepin Bowling, for those interested. 10 straight standing pins.

Today I randomized the Radio station, turned on the older rock station for a change. Hubbie likes hard rock, I like the family kind of station but the kids like the 60,70, and 80's? I wonder why, so today is their choice. It's a nice change.

This station doesn't usually announce school cancellations for us so we rarely listen during the week.

Animals none have shown up that I've seen. I've seen the footprints in the snow but no sign of the fox yet. My neighbour next door says she's seen them out while snow shoeing. Speaking of animals there was a email send out, mass forward stating that cougars (no spots? ) were sitting in my hood. On further investigation teh licence plates said "Colarodo". I'll take my bears, deer, raccoons, fox, gophers, moles, and ground hogs instead please.


Oh there's an old song...."got a call from an old friend...."  "go along with your own life leave me alone..." I have no idea what the name of this song is but I know I've heard it as a child. Have you ever done that? been listening to something you know you've heard before and suddenly you can zero in on exactly what you were doing at that moment? I remember the street I was on the day I was singing "Like a virgin" in the back see of the car. My mother was there and asked me what it meant? I said "I dont' know "well then don't sing it.... ohhhhhhhhh okayyyyyyyyyy hmmmm

MArch Break, it's hard to keep the boys busy today, for some reason they see each other as targets. I think I need to send them out in teh air! but it's almost supper time now. Where does the day go?
