Random Tuesday and talk of teeth returns for a bit

Friday morning 10am, I hear the phone ring. "hello mrs mack.... this is Rita from the dentist office (insert french accent here liberally) Andrew had an appointment with us at 830 this morning"

"SHIT!!!!!!!!!!! SHIT! SHIT!!! ugh! I totally forgot!" ugh!!!

"we can fit him in again monday at 930am..."

"Okay" (click) ACK!!!!!!!!!!! feel like a idiot, how could I forget? oh I know it wasn't on a Tuesday.

Today is Tuesday and if you have no idea that it's not Dentist Tuesday but is in fact Random Tuesday Thoughts Tuesday, then head over to Keely's, The Unmom and get yourself a badge.
or clickity this...
randomtuesday

Monday we went and got the spacer in. This time I didn't have to "ransom" the Video games first, finally AJ is getting to a point where they can do anything to him and he'll let them, no more gas treatments.

MJ was sick lastnight, we had to figure it was bad, he looked at supper and went to his room and fell asleep on his big pile of "buddies" (Buddies are blankets here, he's used that word since about 12months?) and it zonked out! I was a bit jealous. I felt the same way.

Oh BTW guests? yeah they should have a "firm" plan when they msg you 2-3wks before going to a Concert a few towns over. They bought tickets (100.00 each) they parked their car (50.00-wine and cheese) and they told us of getting a concrete driveway, but uh at 330am Sunday morning they arrived in my driveway and slept in their car? I'm not even sure what I have to say about it but wait while I ring myself out in sponge fashion. I offered them the futon in the kids play room for Sunday night. Seems they think I'm running a hotel here, they were gone by 630am Monday.
They did something similar 2yrs ago, they arrived at about 1am, we stayed up chatted a bit, and they disappeared at 630am! I felt so used! I thought that a day of hanging this Sunday would repair? uh no. (wait I'm ringing out my butt now)

the Bear? nope no sightings but I made sure to tell the admin at the dentist that he there was a pile of evidence on my front lawn, it's only fair, she scared me, I should scare her? no really I just didnt' want her to be unaware of the chance of bear encounter. she's still walking outdoors at night, in this rain, and mosquito invested neighbourhood.

The boys got the movie Bolt about a 2wks ago, and wow it's good but I think 25times through is enough for me? Rain go away!! yesterday we did some wii sports to brush off the muscle cobwebs.

Tj is still sleeping, he's got sleeping in down to an art! I'm impressed, but I think I'm going to have to steal his room, it's in the basement, no windows, ensuite bathroom, really what's not to love! It's the perfect Migraine room. When I was living the teen life this is one thing I knew I wanted a migraine room, all dark no light but then I thought maybe some cushioned walls and thought oh wait that's the Rubber room and uh no I'm not there. yet. maybe I'm there now?

HASAY! July!

So this will be my last post for June for the HASAY! if you have no clue at all what I'm talking about then go on over to Casey's Blog and check it out. This is a great bunch of supporters keeping each other in the weight loss/maintenance/getting healthier loop. That getting and staying healthier is the best part for me. I need to be around like minded people. I tend to reach for the extra fluff food when I'm surrounded by it!

So remember that running from bears I may have mentioned before? no haven't done that yet. We did set up the volleyball net for the boys with the help of duct tape, but it's raining! yes oh yes it's raining Again. It's so hard to keep yourself moving when all you want to do is curl up and watch a movie with some fluffy food. This weather is depressing. I'm hoping the Great Orb will return soon.

Sunday though between the downpours we took the boys out and played volleyball, running to get the over served ball is exercise. I can't wait for them to learn to serve a bit better. We had some guests come to town to "crash" and they took a nap while we played with the boys. (insert over exaggerated eyeroll!)We also went to a food court instead of cooking fluff and this resulted more "real" (I had REAL turkey vs deep fried stuff)looking food for us. I promptly came home and documented my choices. This was a small yay! for me moment. I'm trying harder with my tracking and watching, as that fluff? oh it's scary what a little fluff here and there can do. If it was a bit over in the great stuff like fruit and veggies it would be more filling but fluff? it just slides it's ways over to the other fat cells and parties and multiplies. Small changes multiply too. Wednesday of this week is a holiday here so I'm skipping the altar of truth for the week. I'll update with "total" changes by the end of the month. Compromise is good too. :)

Update on the Petting Zoo

So last night I get home from the "altar of Truth" (it totally lied to me, up.5) and my neighbour comes over with the most amazing "treat" she bought me a huge Zipper kind of Bag full well 2 of PB packs and Cheese Whiz. I'm not sure of the origin of said treats but with those littel PB babies I'll be set for Premeasured PB for the next 2-3wks, if the boys don't eat it all. I think they ate 10 this morning before I woke up?
Sorry tangent, so we're sitting talking and I mention the "pile of evidence" out by my front tree, and she says "wooooooahhhhh I didn't hear about this?" and I said "I'm home all day, I talk to people" and, of course, I told her who I heard it from and who she heard it from. I also may have mentioned how the other Mom at the school confirmed it with her story of 2 large clawed critters. On her way home, I walk out the door and down the front path with her and point to "large pile of evidence" and she says "yeah" and Hubbie comes out with laptop in hand and between the Points and ehhhhh? and the Points and grunts, we all come to the conclusion that we have the answer to the ever present question:

Does a Bear Shit in the Woods?

"NO, he shits on my front lawn"

Okay, let's just take a minute to digest this idea. I'm struggling to fit in activity/exercise in my life? I have a VERY hard time doing things that resemble Exercise as a routine or shall I say regimented program, so I pick things that are fun. Things that are good for me but disguised ever so carefully as "games" "playing with the kids" "talking with the neighbours" so things like volleyball, baseball, running after the kids, tiring the kids out by walking them in strollers, or bike rides. These Activities happen out of doors, we protect ourselves from the "critters" outside with the appropriate "bug dope" or Mosquito repellent. There is NO such thing as BEAR Repellent. Mosquitoes take bites out of us, I can deal with that., BEARS take chunks and they aren't leaving us there to "come back later for another pint of blood" or "saving some for later".

On with the critter count, so last night I'm sitting here "working" OK so I was surfing, and reading everyone else's work but I was on a computer. OK so yes I was virtual Gardening with the mrsblupete and I hear this noise. I almost sounds like a cross between a child screaming or a very female person being attacked. I rush to the window and thinking GREAT!!! now something else to clean up, some one is walking down my street (yes we get teens walking the streets at 1am) and they are being attacked by the critter that left the large pile of evidence? I'm not sure what it is, more crying/screaming but no way am I opening that door. I close the living room window and head for the bedroom Hubbie is standing at the window looking out. He's telling me to "shhhhhh" and of course, inserting various points and ehhhhhhh? and finally we see it the BIGGEST Raccoon I've ever seen is climbing down my birch tree and heading towards the house. I do not even want to know why it was screaming at the top of it's lungs and what it thinks was chasing it, I shut everything off, lights computers, and crawled under my bed clothes for the night, nice and dark and safe, until morning when the indoor critters decided 630am was getting up time.

I would just like to say that I'm Jealous of people that live in cities that don't have Large Piles of Evidence on their front lawns.

Random Tuesday, and NO we aren't going to the dentist

randomtuesday

Well if you've been reading here for the last 3months you've been well aware that Tuesday means you go to the dentist and let them clean, drill or pull teeth? No Tuesday means Random Tuesday Thoughts as directed and enforced all over the Blogophere by Keely. ,Well OK she doesn't enforce but when she gets a chance she does read. So go on get yourself a Purple Badge code on her Site and let the thoughts roll.

Sleeping-in Training? it's not working! Daddy gets up and has this thing where he starts telling me stuff and eventually I roll over and admit that I a barely awake and kind of listen but this morning? NO I was NOT awake!!! it was not anywhere near 9am! so this falls under the GO TO WORK QUIETLY (oops did I yell?) And then the 4yrold enters the room and I can convince him to crawl into the bed and "cuddle" which is quiet but the 7.5yrold no he's just not getting it. "Mom I want breakfast"? ugh! tonight I'm going to put the toaster closer to the edge of the counter, and the frozen waffles closer to the height requirements for me to sleep! I love sleep! I've been getting up at 630am for the last 10months, I WANT my sleep. Sorry did that sound a bit "bitchy?" maybe because I didn't sleep?

So today we are not going to the dentist, instead we're going to get 1 child blood work done. So maybe I'll name it health care Tuesday? I still need to book them all for eye appointments. I'm hoping to solve the mystery of the nose bleed boy, is it just a finger in nose problem or is it more serious? We'll find out when they Don't call us with an update? If no update it's finger and nose that need a divorce and if they do call I'll get more answers.

I'm still quite amazed how much that little Sunday Drive to the Ocean helped to recharge my Mommy Batteries! Now sleep that would help too?

No Bear sightings but when we were getting in the car Sunday there was a "mystery" pile of "something" oh you know what I mean by"something" by the berry tree so I'm going to have to Great Googly the Poo images available and find out what animal polluted my lawn, and if our summer will turn into one of those "run to car, run to house" kind of things! Why can't the animals stay in the colouring books, story books and enchanted forests?

Hubbie agreed to go running with me, now we just have to BOLT MJ to the Jogging stroller and off we go! I've even got the Stuffed Bear ready for the "other" seat because it seriously looks silly to be pushing a double jogger with only 1 child in it. The Stuffed Bear should totally distract from the empty seat and the need for 'oh you need another to fit right there' comments. And a stuffed Bear is totally better then a real one who will be behind us right? It might be a very fast run! The older boys can use bikes.

Does anyone out there know how to get a child to get rid of their training wheels? I can't push or hold him up, it's not working. Would it be so bad if he drove one of these?

Why must they not sleep in? now I've got one waking up the only one that DOES sleep in? BTW he's the tallest, because you know you grow while you sleep right? the other's that don't sleep? short!

Random happening in the Crop Circle!

Well that's all the Random I can spew forth this morning I'm sure if you go back to the home of the purple Badge, and click in to MrLinky, you'll find plenty of Random thoughts keep your brain spinning?

On the move, Sunday Drive, and a bit of Hasay

Good morning, don't know what HASAY is, well it's a great group of supportive bloggers helping each other stay accountable and on track week after week.

So I went to visit the altar of Truth on Wednesday, I'm up, 2lbs. I'm going to have to agree with the wiifit and hope it's just one of those 2lb differences it keeps telling me about? It's all I can do, to keep me digging at that pile of dirt. So in order to combat this problem, I did more, and lowered the salt in my diet this week. It's sneaky, it happens before you even know it, especially when you've had the dreaded Pre-made Processed meals. When I don't plan our meals this is what happens, I get lazy and the choices go down the tubes. Tonight it's BBQ Chicken and Veggies. I can't wait for supper, but first lunch!

The boys are home, Friday we played golf (toy clubs), baseball, T-ball, and got the bikes out. What a blast. They totally enjoyed it, and I had fun too. I'm hoping that these are those little pieces of Move more, that will help me move out of this plateau zone I've managed to find myself in.

Sunday since the daddy in the didn't get to sleep in, we decided to pack ourselves in the the car and take off. OFF we went with me driving, this is partly new, because I've always given the car to the Hubbie, it's easier then watching him grip the "oh shit bar". Yesterday I took off, down the route 3 to St. Andrew's By the Sea. It's a Very pretty city and I can't wait to go back and see it all again and have more time to visit. We left at 1pm and got home about 730pm. It's about a 2hour drive from here and totally worth the visit. Time wise we couldn't have timed it better, the tide was out and the views were beautiful. We all came home refreshed and Happy.

Funny story about mr I dont' want to go to public washrooms. There was no "#2" problem but the first place we stopped was St. Croix Look off from the Canadian Side. So beautiful, I can't say that enough. I see the tell Tail Beaver sign which is the Canadian symbol for 'Parks Canada? and a parking lot, we stop! YAY! toilets, I'd been drivng for 2hours and drinking coke zero, it's bound to happen that it's time to go! the boys had juice boxes for the last hour. So we pull over and I DASH! well what do I find? You guest it 2009 outhouses! so of course I can't very well not go because I've got 3 boys paying very close attention to my reactions to such things. Go it is. Jobs done, I get out and I see AJ running for the Van! hand on his short buttons. I thought he went and just dashed, uh no! he looked down that hole and ran for the car! :) I don't blame him and didn't say a word.We stopped in the tourist information office and got that taken care of. Even MJ got the job done.

Now for some pictures!!! :)

This was the view where we got the best wifi signal.

This is a picture of me on the rocks looking out at the mudflats of the Bay of Fundy, so beautiful, and it was windy and raining but warm!

And the way we traveled! I do have a bit of an itch to get me one of those campers over there to the right, and that camp site had wifi, so if we went back I could blog in real time?I did status update my FB in real time. hehe :)

Happy Father Day

This morning we're all up trying to be VERY quiet so that Daddy can sleep in, it's the only thing he really wants for Father's Day every year. It doesn't work, it doesn't work for mother's day and it doesn't work for Father's Day.
They are currently trying to make cards, they made cards in school but this is the cards they make at home. They want to show Daddy he's special in their way. I want him to know he's special too.
It's our special Dad that would go out on a Saturday and pick up 1000lbs of play sand. And the following weekend he goes and gets a big load of dirt to put in a planter box for kids to plant cucumbers that he or they don't even like but he know it's good for them.
It's our special Dad that would take 1 or 2 of his boys with him when he can see that mommy is at the end of her rope or they are having a bad day.
It's our Special Dad that will volunteer in a room full of women to be on the Parent's Committee at the school because he wants to know what's going on in the school and find out exactly how he can help.
It's our special Dad that will drive a bit out of his way some days so that they an sleep in and get to school a bit later.
It's our special Dad that will teach his sons the joy of music as only even if it means blasting the tunes and cracking my foundation, cause you know it's for the kids! I apparently missed the Karaoke Moment in that one. The camera was buried in the laundry pile! oops

And to My special Dad, the man who let me ride in the back of a Pick up Box while he wenched it up off the back of his truck frame so that he could get it all greased up. I just now realized why we were inside the box? So he knew where we were! Because my boys who want to be everywhere Daddy is it works. My Brother and I were in the box, my dad was getting the truck work done. To the dad who took me shopping when my mom was tired of listening to "I don't like that" funny when your Dad helps you pick out clothes they look cooler? I guess it's all apart of being Daddy's Girl?

He does all these things for his boys! and I love it because he's doing it for my Boys, he's a very special man and a great Dad. Happy Father's Day and to all the Dad's. The Cards are now completed so it's time to work on the whispering and inside voices.

VGNO! Sleeping in!

Now I just Popped over to Ann's and AnnandAnnAgain for some
Photobucket

And I'm in! Tonight is the boys first night off, it's not just Friday but it's the Friday before the first weekend of Summer vacation! Ann also has a Give Away going on, if your in the US and reading, go see, let me get you a full link....

I never in my life thought that the movie "Back to the Future (2and3 too)" would be lessons in life. Time Travel is a hard concept to understand, and for a 7.5yrold it's even harder but the lesson is there. If you change the way you do something the consequences in the future will be changed forever. I think this movie choice couldn't have come at a better time. I do think that they could do without some of the drinking, boob job and gambling references but hey it's a movie. I'm sure there's a lesson in make believe in there too? maybe that's stretching it?

So tonight's question from my little corner of the world. What would you do if you could time travel? What would you change or would you change anything at all?

Me? so far I'd do everything the same, I figure it all happens for a reason so I'll keep the past and look forward to what come next. And unlike last week I'm not touching the Spiked Watermelon. Tonight's drink is... Diet Soda, because the future will not be kind to this butt if I keep drinking real drinks for this VGNO!

Friday Fill-ins Summer Begins!

It's Friday so it's time for me to get back to typing vs reading everyone else's blog and contributing to the readers. I've got my Friday Fill-ins and here I go.

1. All children alarm their parents, if only because you are forever expecting_the house to flood, the sand to come in from the crop circle, the sofa to be for sitting on not jumping, the DVD player to work, them to like sleeping in as much as I do____.

2. Show me a good loser and I will show you a __toothless grinning child___.

3. __Nothing would make me want to do anything that ___ is like eating an entire box of chocolate liqueurs at one time.

4. Too bad that all the people who know how to run the country are busy ___looking over the books from the last people in office__ and _finding out just how bad the glossy images that everyone was seeing is on the real books. Honestly no one really knows how bad it is until they are sitting in the big seat and seeing what exactly they have to work with. Unless you are in politics you will only ever see that glossy real estate flyer and photos that show the way the house is supposed to look, once you get there you get to see the stuff left stuffed into the backs of closets and the pealing wallpaper and roof that needs to be replaced____.

5. I have yet to hear a man ask for advice on how to combine ___Driving__ and _directions____.

6. It is impossible to think of any good meal, no matter how plain or elegant, without __looking for the nutrional information___ or ___giving in and just digging__ in it.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to __relaxing with my boys, last official day ends in 1hour and 1 hour get them home to me___, tomorrow my plans include _using their sleeping in skills for real summer, and _burning old workbooks that end up coming home after the year is over, because really we didn't want to see the work they did while they were in school right?___ and Sunday, I want to __stay up late with the boys cause they have no where to go Monday___!

It must Be Random Tuesday, I was at the Dentist

If you're new here, or just decided to read today, it's Tuesday, and Tuesday is Random Tuesday Thoughts, sponsored by Keely and I think Kelly but I think Kelly might have been sucked up by a bunch of Baby Boogers? you think? maybe?

So go over to Keely's and get yourself one of these Ugly (her word) Purple Badges, slap that into your blog and start Ramdomly Spewing thoughts on to the open space.

randomtuesday

It must be Tuesday, I was at the dentist, my whole bottom left side is numb! and 1/2 of my tongue. I tried to talk to MJ today and accidentally bit my tongue, I think that means it would be better to wait on morning snack or skip it and wait for lunch. I miss my tea. AJ got his space fitted for his spacer. I'm going to have to start keeping track of all these charges for my taxes at this rate. Five People have a lot of teeth

So I was just on FB checking my farm, in case my crops go bad in the 10minutes since I last checked them, and noted that my brother was at the cottage this past weekend. There is some reno done. If it had good well water vs whatever the clouds dump, I'd be more excited.

Yesterday, the local Superstore was "closed" now what part of stupid does the head office have when they decided to do renovations on the 15th of the month? If you're like me you were slicing that last tomatoes paper thin just to make it to the 15th only to drive into the parking lot and see "uh it's not open" oh but the garden center is open. So I go in there browse every single plant and find a set of 4 cucumbers. We go pay for the and find out the store is closed. OK I'll take my budgeted 350.00 for 2wks and spend that at Sobey's on less food. ugh! GRUMBLE!!!!!!!!! now I've got o slice this round of Tomatoes even thinner. It's really no longer a filling food when you can't taste it! So today we have to plant our cukes and see how that goes. If nothing else, it's 10minutes of watering which gives mommy 10minutes of silence inside the house in the mornings?

This past weekend we took the boys for a road trip, we haven't seen the whole province yet, it's big so for a day trip we drove to Miramiche to see it. We ate at Jungle Jims and the kids loved that because their tomatoes aren't as thin, and we never take them out to eat. The problem though is that MJ will not go to the bathroom for #2 at any stops! We bough the potty seat for the last episode at easter, Read here, catch up it's a Random Tuesday so about 4 random thoughts down after the pic of the sideof the car. , I'll wait..., So this problem continues. Monday we bought a stool at the $ store to help Facilitate more Stool!

The boys have 2.5days left of school but technically since Wednesdays are 1/2 days that will be about 2days? Pizza party with ice cream is Thursday. Hubbie goes tonight for the last Parent's Meeting for the year. He's the only man in the group, so it's Girl's night out with the 1 Dad! It should be interesting. He's signed on again for next year.

MJ is trying to beat his Boxing Score on the wii! If he practices enough before the boys get home from school, he might have a chance. BTW the Wii remote, bowling and a ceiling fan don't match.

Oh and we filled up the crop circle. I have a picture of you of "let's" doing the work. Ouch hernia can't lift bags of sand. It works! Moving dirt as you can see. No Bear, Fox or other critter pics, yet.

Last night I made Turkey soup, I had kept turkey legs in the freezer from Christmas, now I've got something for lunch, but I had no celery, darn! The house smelled good and post Christmasy though.

So the rest of the day will probably be just as random now that I have less plans.

Club HASAY Post

Today my post of over at Casey's. I'm a guest poster! This is my first guest post anywhere, so if you want go take a look. It's now 7:01am in my world so maybe it's there now. So go on over give it a read. Club Half As Small As You. A great group of bloggers supporting each other in their goals.
Today we have a Energy Audit Dude coming to the house to check the place out and see where we are loosing heat or heat is coming in. So MJ and I are heading out to the Grocery store. I can't wait to get more choices into this house. The weekend was OK but could have been better, but still I'll keep on moving the dirt.

My Last week of school here for the boys. I'm going to have to come up with some ideas for the weekend as to wht to do with them. The oldest is great on a bike and so I'll take him bike riding most nights. I'm hoping that AJ will soon get some courage to get moving on his without the training wheels. He's slow but I'm sure he'll eventually get there. MJ wants to move and move fast so maybe he'll attempt to learn to drive too. This would be great because then we could all move together. I like when our family plans include the kids exercising too.
OK now it's time to mop the kitchen floor before I leave, tile and kids and sticky foods don't match!

VGNO Summer Nights with Naughty Nancy

Photobucket

Sassy Sue, I mean Ann from AnnandAnnagain, is holding her Virtual Girls Night Out. This week I'm in. I got a bit of time tonight. I've not started on the Rum yet, that's next. Hubbie and The oldest are watching the New Batman which I didn't have any interested in so I'm here. Pass me a Drink?

Ann's theme tonight is Grease! School's Out in her neck of the woods. Here, we're still dodging the Bears to catch the bus in the morning. I just realized that part, oops! I'm trying to figure out what to do next Friday with Boys. It's tempting to throw money at the problem but it would be more like throwing plastic, so I'll have to think careful. They seem to be out relatively early this year. Other years they've gone right up until the 25-26ish. Tonight though I'll enjoy my drinks.
Let me see, Ann's mixing Pink Ladies, so I'll Spike some Watermelon. (it's Pink)
While I'm looking for the Spike take a minute to browse the party Game and pick out your Pink Lady name. (searching for HUGE ass Knife)
"If I Were A Pink Lady..."

Let's get our Pink Lady jackets and sew on our new names. My name starts with an 'A' so my Pink Lady name is Sassy Sue. Follow the chart to find your Pink Lady name.

A - D = Sassy Sue
E - H = Blogger Babe
I - L = Smokin' Molly
M - P = Naughty Nancy
Q - T = Hot Rod Helen
U - Z = Greased Lightning Gertie

(shuffle shuffle shuffle through cutlery Drawer...)

OK here we go...Spiked Watermelon Thank you Recipezaar. You know you can find anything with the help of the great googley moogley. Ah here's the knife....Naughty Nancy with a knife, that works!

10lbs of watermelon,
3 cups of Vodka

Cut A hole in the top of the Watermelon besure to make a plug,
Poor as much of the Vodka as you can into the hole, plug it up..... "stop drinking all teh Vodka... now I have to remeasure... now how many cups... wait you drank a cup already or you put a cup already into the watermelon... someone hold this and someone else hold that blogger over there...." (points to swaying reader)

OK now I'll go visit while we wait the 4hours for this to set. I really should have started this at 2pm, I'd be nicely tanked by 3, and the watermelon would be ready by 6pm!

So now for some food cause I'm seriously starving, I skipped the supper that was offered here by the cook (me), so I'll have to make some BBQ chicken legs, nothing says Summer like BBQ chicken legs and if I remember Grease, didn't some of those guys from the "Blue Moon" Scene have chicken legs?

These were super easy to make, I just baked the legs in a corning ware dish in the oven, then put them on the BBQ for the last 10minutes or so with Diana Chicken and Rib sauce. The red label one is excellent! I also use if for my BBQ chicken pizza. I usually just throw my dough incredients in the breadmaker, water liquids on the bottom, then dry on top and yeast the very top. After the BBEP I dress those pizzas up with this sauce, and grilled chicken slathered in this sauce, mozzerella, red and green peppers, black olives, red onions, and some times hot pepper flakes and hot peppers. Bake at 425 or 450 depending on how hungry, and hte cheese gets to where you like it. You know these posts are harder when your hungry. Now I'm going to make this with a pita bread crust for supper. (waiting for the watermelon.....chug)

Now we need some music while we wait and George cooks my chicken....

Waiting for George and Diana to get their acts together....

Happy VGNO all! With a Title like this I'm going to have to get out my Wiggley Eyes

The Busy Day

I'm not much of a go go go kind of person. Since having 3 boys, my choices of waiting for them to come home from school, is limited. They want to go go go so I try. Yesterday as usual for Wednesday around here, was a 1/2 day. The boys came home, made themselves some PB sandwiches for lunch, (not allowed nuts at school so they think it's a treat) and then they had some ice cream treats. I bought a box of 4 X4 kinds, there were drumsticks, waves, fudge bars, and ice cream sandwiches. they all chose one and then wanted another because you know it's all about eating every single thing out of the box before Daddy or Mommy get any right? I stuck with the wave, it was 2pts for those watching me, (waves to any HASAY out there).
The Critter count situation. I haven't seen the Bear yet, I did tell the kids until I hear it's caught (one of the forestry guys lives across the street here) they will be wiisport, marioparty8 and whatever else. If I'm out there, they can go out, because you know a 178lb.MOM vs possible 500lb bear is a good match? I don't like guns but I'm starting to think it might not be a bad thing to know how to use a hunting rifle? Hubbie remembers a time when he was 10 being able to get on the bus to the bigger town, walk into Kmart, buy a gun, and get back on the bus to come home with it. That's not that easy now. I also get deer, and I've never eaten Deer, but maybe just maybe I could save a BUCK or Two? (Buck, oh come on giggle for me) Canada wont let you buy a gun that easily anymore, you need a hunter safety card, and paper work.
I think that I could have the big summer learning project, set up a booth and collect $ and wait for people to come visit my critters.(waves to Sprite's Keeper) In about mid July, if the foxes haven't caught them, there will be raccoons eating some berries off the trees. When you go to a real Wildlife park the animals are no where to be seen so this would work. There were Blue Jays chasing each other around the spruce trees Monday, they weren't too happy about my clothes line squeak! Today it rains, they will love it out there.
A Donkey, I think I could legally get one out here there are a few homes with horses down on the main highway. This area used to be farm land and woods. It's building up. I wonder though if perhaps a Donkey might be mistaken for a Deer. Any Suggestions Country Girl
?

I went to visit the Altar of Truth last night, didn't get attacked by animals on the way to the car and lost 4lbs, maybe trying to out walk a possible Bear is a good way to burn some extra calories? It's what I get for not wanting to live in the city. Out here the drunks stay on their side of the trees! So today I'll put that back on as I go to the kids school to have lunch with them. It was to be a picnic, but with rain, it's turned into an inside event. Darn weather. I guess when it's really actually 10 Day from Real Summer you aren't supposed to tempt the weather channel? I've been checking for the fox family for a picture, or video no sign yet. I'll keep working on it.

Random Tuesday Thoughts, Bears, Dentists, they Randomly go together,

Welcome to this weeks Random Tuesday Thoughts. First I go over to The Unmom, and get my badge... randomtuesday

And then I start spewing way just type and type and type until either your tired of reading or going to be tired of reading of the children managed to reach a level of loudness that mommy time has to stop. It happens, with every post.

This morning I took AJ to the dentist, that boy was brave! he walks in they say "you're getting tall, and you lost more teeth" to which he replies. "And now your going to take another one out!" yep he was brave! tooth is gone. No more breaking tooth. They will fit him next week for his spacer after it heals. I'll be in the office chair one cubby over getting another filling. Teeth and us don't seem to mesh well.

So while I'm paying the bill (funding visa's next take over) he's playing the nintendo and PS2 in the waiting room, the office assistant tell me this gem.
"did you hear about the bear?"
"uh bear?" (insert HUGE DAGGER EYES!)
OA, she lived 2 streets over from me "a woman from our neighbourhood (everyone from our neighbourhood seems to come here) she had a bear in her back yard last week."
GREAT! well that settles it the kids will watch TV all summer until that thing is caught. The Forestry Police have set up a trap, the traps? they aren't making me feel uh safe because I'm sure it's the equivalent to leaving the boys in the back yard with steaks around their necks? I guess this is what I get for owning a house where I can hang out my laundry? I'll have to scope the yard first.

Speaking Backyard Critters. This moring Hubbie calls me ".... come look the foxes are in the back yard, 5 of them" yep and sure enough there's mom watching her 4 cubs go crazy chasing each other all over my back fence into the tonka trucks, over the swing sets, behind the trees, back out through the ferns and around and around and around. I'll try 730am tomorrow to get another picture if she's anything like me as a mom, routine with cubs is key to a good nights sleep! later in teh summer they will all go running across the front lawn on their way to hunting night. Critters cute. Now why can't they keep the sand area cleaner?

We had a bit of a cat-astrophy last week, the boys were in the crop circle playing in the sand and they came in, I could smell dog poo! we don't have a dog, I suspected the neighbours cats are using the crop circle as a potty, so I go out and check and get them to take off their sneakers vs trapsing it through the house. What did I find out there? A Dead Mouse! I was very nicely reminded by a FB friend that it's better then condoms and used needles in the city Parks. Yep Mouse, you are fine but could you play perhaps in the foxes or cat mouths for as long as it takes them to swallow you? hmmm? Hubbie removed said dead critter.

He got himself a new Lawnmower for Father's day, new as in should not break down. Now we own 2 ride on lawnmowers. I'm glad he got it because there is less 4letter words flying around here when the lawnmower works, so for fun, now that the new one works, he spent some hours fxing the old one. Fun? OKAY! i'm sure I could have came up with something more fun?

Ever notice that Grocerystores love to tell you "sale" and what they really mean is more then last year's prices and less then next weeks but not by much because it's going up AGAIN! Food, the necessary evil I think.

Today AJ is home because I wasn't sure how the dentist would go and if he could hack going back to school or if he would drive the teacher batty, and well it's june, it's not like they are going to actually "work" right? So he's home. Tomorrow is TJ's turn at the dentist and Thursday the school is having a 'picnic'. Bring food and eat at the school with your kids. It should be fun and well atleast great material for writing about, and adding to their memories?

Oh and incase anyone was wondering about Abandon Chair? yeah S/He's ready for Summer! Bring it!

HASAY! And now for the hormonal Flux

This is the part I really hate about being over 35+, I get flux, lots and lots of flux. I can eat normal and less then usual and all of a sudden BAM the scales say "ah ah ah, you've been naughty". I can tell exactly the moment it happens. Some times it comes with me laying an eggs and that feeling of "OMG how it is ever possible for anyone to get pregnant if laying eggs feels like this??" so this week there is a gain. 4lbs! I'll have to wait for Wednesday to see if I manged to get everything back to an even keel. Even would make me happy. As for the trip to the store mentioned Friday, I got me Diet coke and baked chips and shared with the boys. I called it their after school snack and that leaves very little for me because apparently they are STARVING TO DEATH when they get home.
The exercise needs to get better around here, The Wii-Fit is fun but there are other things getting in the way that are more fun. It's very easy for me to sit here and read instead of write or work, and it's very easy for me to find my way back to the kitchen, which as you know doesn't count as exercise because uh the food is in the kitchen. So this week my plan is to move more. If you see me over commenting remind me I said this?
Oh I did pump up a volleyball this weekend so I'm hoping to get the net set up while the boys are in school today, got to get these things done while my audience is smaller. One boy watching and handing me pegs is much easier then 3 boys getting all excited and saying "is it done yet?" I wonder if I can manage to get this done if I leave MJ in here watching a movie... with the doors open I can probably hear him getting into trouble? then again trouble happens less when he's directly in my sights. Right now he's all upset because the DVD doesn't work and our antenna is not accepting any channels today. There must be some weather on the way? I'll have to check my Wii weather, that should start me being all into using the thing.
Another joy of the weekend? my Kettle Broke, I plugged it in and POP! spark, oops! well it was 14yrs old. You can't expect a Kettle to work forever, but oh I miss my tea. I pulled a pot out of the cupboard and boiled my water in that. I think it's time for me to scan the shelves at Value Village and find me a old thick Pyrex teapot! the kinds that has that really sturdy handle? In the last 4 months I lost a tea pot (boiled dry and melted the cover) and this Kettle, maybe it's a sign? Is there such a thing as too much tea?I know too much coffee almost killed me, too much diet coke isn't good for my brain, so maybe too much tea causes forgetfulness? I guess it's possible since I've dry boiled the pot and kettle a few times before they popped? Time for a new Kettle, one of those shuts itself off after the water boils ones.
OK off to d my arm workout with the clothes line, pull pull pull, hang hang hang, push push push, hang hang hang, push push push. OK it's a stretch but house work is WORK! I blame the hormones! and the heat, it's been hot here.

If you have no clue what that HASAY is go visit Casey, give you the details! and she can even scale a roof like no one's business.!

I've been Tagged, Tagging back

I've been tagged in a 6X6 Meme from over at The Adventures of the Headless Family. Now My family isn't exactly headless but I don't post them much. So first the rules. I had to modify to suit my computer folders. I didn't have 6 folders in Photos, pictures or on my desktop! But I did the next best thing, I took my 3 which is 1/2 of 6, then picked, 6, and 6 and then another 6 until I got to this beauty!

This is my Kyoot(cute) Mom, yep this is a mom of 5 kids! doesn't look it at all does she? Well this past Christmas we didn't get to go home. We like to go home for Christmas mostly because it's only 7 hours away but this past year we passed because the year before we got in a bit of a car accident. I didn't want to be on the roads again and slip sliding away through our Christmas Vacation (cue the National Lampoons, "BEST DAMN CHRISTMAS..." Quote) but the beauty of the internet is that we get pictures of what's going on. This is the gift that my Brother and his Girlfriend bought for my tea addicted mother. It's not actually a Tea cup, it's a planter for herbs,(not those) there is even a picture of herbs on the side, but I thought WOW! this is perfect! She could MAKE tea in this thing and have a 1/2 dozen people over for tea. Our Gift was not so genius!Gift cards cost very little to mail, Canada Post should be more Postage friendly and charge less, I'm just saying. My Brother is very inventive and thoughtful, he is a details person much like myself, he remembers things you've told him forever ago. I thought this was genius! He's also my youngest Brother. I've mentioned him before over here...
You know this woman was genius too, she has 5 kids,(I'm the favorite of course, she'll kill me if she ever learns how to google!) and we all know how busy a woman with kids is?and she worked and actually still works as an RN. She worked it so that 3/5 Birthdays were all on the same day. The day I got my Babysitting assignment I turned 9, but had to wait for my littles to grow up and me to mature. Genius! why plan 3 different parties when you can plan 1, why buy 3 cakes when you can just make a double layer into a triple layers. It's all on how you spin it.
Now it's time for the Tagging!
Bex over at The Adventures of the Grigg's Boys

Anissa, Over at Out Chaotic Life

Stacy over at Stacy's Random Thoughts

Cara over at Mommy Says...

Swoozie over at Mommy Kingdom

And Carmen over at Mom to the Screaming Masses

The rules:
1) Go to your photo files
2) Pick the sixth folder (open)
3) Pick the 6th photo
4) Write a story about the photo
5) Tag six people

Happy Random Tuesday Thoughts... Hap[py June

Can you believe it's already the second day of June? Well with that it's also Random Tuesday Thoughts over a Keely's The Unmom. I mentioned her yesterday in my Award Post. So today go grab yourself a random Button and Slap that baby in your blog and start writing away.

randomtuesday

I'm not happy with Rogers, their prices for internet go up as I get more addicted and use it more? hmmmm? I think we should have been grandfathered into the "unlimited" stuff for being such long time customers?

We went to the Dentist office AGAIN! yep again, another Tuesday apparently means another sit in the chair but wait I get to do it again Thursday this week for me. I think it's 1 filling then an xray to see just how much more work has to be done, ugh! My poor wallet is crying cause it's empty and my poor bank doesn't know what money is.
Speaking of Monday there are some questionable versions of the paper money floating around here lately, 5 ,10s and 20s, so don't forget your pocket fake money lights. You know it's a big problem when it's a "school topic?"
http://www.bankofcanada.ca/en/banknotes/education/index_schools.html
Something else I learned today from reading and emailing. So check your bills people.
Does anyone have a GREAT, I mean like Fabulous you think you've ordered take out and it doesn't just taste better beause you didn't cook it, recipe for beef and brocolli? I have some frozen brocolli that's calling me but I dont' want to use it and then think "why did I try to do this?" It's a craving and if I can make it lighter even better.

AJ's leg just went to sleep, he's stuck on the floor trying to wiggle his toes but not wiggle his toes because well it's hurty not quite funny feeling. Pins and Needles?

TJ is due home in about 30minutes, and then it's 2/5days doen for the school week.

MJ just said "my voice is gone" I said "no it's not because you just talked and I heard you" I think he's just tired from the dentist visit.

The boys are eating us out of house and home this week, I have visions of clothes shopping coming next, they will all be too tall for their clothes next. So far today AJ has eaten,2 bowls cereal, 2waffles, milk, turkey on a hotdog bun, fruit cup, granola barX2,juice box, and then came home and had another granola bar, a fruit cup, a yogart tube, now a tub of yogart and he's eyeing the popcorn? Yikes! he's only 7.5? I guess I'll have to cook a roast this weekend, that might fill them up?

The Dentist gave MJ a car, he took forever to pick out a prize.

I had more Random thoughts poking around in my head this week but now when it's crunch time and my assignment is due? nothing comes to mind. I'll make better notes for next week. OK remember head over to either Kelly or Keely's blog to get your button/badge clicky thing. Mr Linky is not behaving so leave your links, I'll find you. I'll read even if I'm in the over used zone.:)

Award, I'd like to thank Anissa

It's award time again, I recieved another award today. Anissa over at Our Chaotic Life sent me this bit of bloggy love. So this is my Award, and her award too, just by spreading the bloggy love and comment love she's giving and recieving. I have to say whoever designs these are awards are very talented people! And here are the nitty gritty Rules :)

Neno's Award - Rules & Regulations:
1.As a dedication for those who love blogging and love to encourage friendships through blogging.
2.To seek the reasons why we all love blogging.
3.Put the award in one post as soon as you receive it.
4.Don't forget to mention the person who gives you the award.
5.Answer the award's question by writing the reason why you love blogging.
6.Tag and distribute the award to as many people as you like.
7.Don't forget to notify the award receivers and put their links in your post

So now question of the award, why do I blog. I've mention it before, in an older post I think like in the 2007 area but since I've been blogging more this year, it's become more apparent that I do love it. I love reading other people's blogs and seeing just how every goes about their days. I love posting about my days both for my kids and for me. For my kids because there are so many days I know that they don't get me, and I don't get them, but if I write it out, they might see it later and understand.
I blog for me because sometimes someone needs to hear the story about the pie that came out perfect, or my first "non bread maker loaves of bread"(ooops didn't tell that into these archives, but I've got pictures out there somewhere in Cyberspace), and if you blog it someone will read it. Someone will hear the thoughts that float through your brain during the day while your say scrubbing the shower, or mopping up the "water" that lands under the toilet that doesn't leak. There's this feeling that I'm not the only mom to ever forget to put coffee grounds into the coffee maker, or forget to put a sandwich in her son's lunch.
If your not a mommy blogger, there's plenty of things that I can read or hear about from another person's angle. I love it, and I learn it. My finally love for blogging is how it brings the world together, there are a lot of American Bloggers and I've been reading more Canadian Bloggers lately, and people in Germany and the UK, I learn from reading. I've never been further away from "home" then New England, and Vancouver, but with Blogging? I'll learn about so many places all over. I guess I've become a little bit long winded here and if I've bored you the correct recipe for coffee is "add coffee grounds!" and if your still reading join me in a cup? I'm having tea though.

Now is my turn to pass on the Awards
Lacey, over at This Life of Ours
Lacey was one of the first people I knew to blog, and she's got some inspiration in her! :)

Keely over at The UnMom
She's the Random Queen, she makes My Tuesdays!

The Headless mom, and family over at The Adventures of the Headless Family

And I'd love to also pass this on to anyone out there that's seen me and my obsessive commenting and replying. These things totally make my days sunshine!

HASAY, Down 1.4

You all really love your Monday's! I was off reading everyone else's updates and now it's almost 4pm! here in my world. mini Update in the HASAY world, go see Casey, she's Supportive! no matter what you read, she's Supportive!

I'm down 1.4 last Wednesday Evening at the Altar of Truth. I'm excited that's 2.4 in 2wks, so it's working again. I also got me a 25lb award from WW this week. This weekend though might put a slow down on that. We took the kids to the playground in an effort to not resort to a "eating" event with another family, and we all brought something to feed our peeps. I made a sald before I left home to use for supper time. It's still in the fridge. The other mom brough nachos with some shall we say tempting (OK I ATE IT!) dip and well I had to limit supper. The boys of course worked off all they ate by leaps and Bounds and I made them hamburgers for supper on the George Foreman. They ate them? And Strawberries, then wanted more food! I gave them sausages on George, uh they wanted more food? Where do they put it. I'm a little jealous. I had 1 sausage sliced down the center lengthwise on 1 bun, and I was full for the day. They kept eating!
I got 4/5 days this week in on the wii, and so I'm going to do more tonight, and get today's 5 in. I'm trying to work on my butt muscles, and my thighs, maybe that will help, and increase my motabolism. Maybe I can run and run and run like the boys and achieve some tone along with Calorie burn?
