Another Mom trying to keep up with my 3 Young Men(no longer boys) and remember all the great things going on in their lives. This is where I write my thoughts. If you want to read, go ahead, pull up a coffee. Lately it seems I talk more to and about the lawn furniture than the kids.
I haven't been too posty mc posterson for the month of May, but it's Tuesday and what better reason to post some random can't fill up a page stuffs then Tuesday.
Thanks to Keely's Break and Stacy's Takeover it's still on the go.
Summer, yep it's feeling a Lot like summer. I know some of you were totally expecting me to post some of this all up until about August?
But it isn't it's more like this now...
Much better, much greener but now it's Much hotter too. That hat there? It's Avon. Just thought I'd mention that for any Canadian shoppers reading along...
We went to the Island 2weekends ago. The weather was a bit chilly but we got to see the grandparents and my Grandma, totally worth the drive.
We are trying to get the boys involved in some sports this year. TJ has picked Ultimate Frisbee, AJ and MJ have picked T-ball. I will be spending some time at the fields.
With this great weather, I've been hiding on my porch swing too. Love it! a space to read, some fresh air and some people watching. No one thinks to look into my corner but I can see and hear them as they walk by.
Ok bus is here. Only 3 ish weeks of school left here. The boys go back after labour Day again this year. (not that I'm thinking about sending them back yet...)
Oh my ice cream is cold on teeth. Also it's Tuesday and no Dentist visits today.
BTW I don't need wine today to feel the world spin. I think I've got an ear infection? not easy to get the groceries when you are having a hard time keeping the aisles from spinning. I think this calls for a nap.
I got my Stacy and sign, I've got my thoughts, now to put it all together... hang on...
must Read Julie and Stacy first... reading... (here have a baby carrot while you wait)
You saw my spring yesterday right? it's not much better today. The only improvement is that my tulips are almost all in bloom and wont fizzle out quick because of being over heated...
May long weekend is on the way. Victoria Day. I had a discussion on my FB wall. It was very interesting, in the morning the local Radio Show Announced May 2-4 weekend was coming. Now I never really heard that term as a standard us. I've heard it on Beer commercials (you know a 2-4 of Beer)... beers for the easterners. This was new to me. I asked if it was a local province thing, or a Canadian term. It's apparently used a lot in Ontario? I lived there so it must have been after 98? I also spent some time in NH where the May long is Memorial Day weekend. So I think we're going to go for the 2-4 idea this weekend.
Last weekend we were invited to a Birthday party for a friend who turned 40. It was a great time, there were I think 13-15kids and about 12 adults? It poured rain but it was just enough of a mist to still BBQ. I was most impressed that there were NO bags of chips/pretzels or other picky treats. Everyone had BBQ hots and Hams and there were LOTS Of salads. My next party? thats what I'm doing Salads!
Quote of wife "Happy Birthday you little Stinker!"
The Cake? I thought this was genius. She tried hard to get her hands on some of those Birthday Skunks for the front yard, (you know because out here in the sticks we don't have enough real ones tearing up our lawns) but couldn't find them locally. Hubbie took this pic, note that's his finger, new iphone he's still learning.
Which means it's time for me to get a phone right?
Sunscreen Season, Avon has Sun Screen and also blackfly season. I LOVE my screened porch but now it's time to stock up on the Skinsosoft too!
is coming to Canada, in 9days for a visit? I should warn her of the weather/seasonal uh confusion here. This is my side of Canada, May 16th at 8am...
I don't dare show her the ground, leaves on a birch,
The maples in front, note the extensive use of "ever greens" for GREEN ness?

I've been happy many times, it's hard to narrow it down to the "est". I think this is something I'll have to wait some more years to live and think about. I guess that means Stay tuned? What was your most embarrassing moment?
there have been many, again I can't pin point most and I think there will be many more. There are a few odd ball moments, and a few I've been known to go back and think about but nothing lately.

Going camping in cottages with my brother and mom and dad, this was before the youngest 3 were part of the family. I think I might have been 5 going on 6. Dad was asking me to help add to the list of things to bring, I said my brother's Tonka trucks. Dad thought it was a great idea. :) Score!

I have to DO for me, but it's totally ok to ask for support.
So it seems that Keely (the Birthday Girl of yesterday) and Random Tuesday Thought Starter, is still still still on a break. I suspect she's all kinds of "trying to be professional first month? year? on the job.Well I've joined up again this week with help of Stacy uncorked up there to hold the sign and bring Keely's Random back! Stacy's cartoon though does do a wonderful job of holding that sign.
So let's get some Random in here. Newish Government. Well that last Prime Minister is still "in" but now we've got a new Opposition. It's going to be interesting so see how this all goes along.
Speaking of the election. I have to mail a letter to the person in charge of voting in Canada. When I went to vote? Someone else had already been there? I had to pledge an oath to say I was me and that this was the first time ME was voting in this election. I suspect that one of my neighbours got my voting card? and used it! I'm upset because without identification to match that card that person shouldn't have been able to vote. I did get to vote but what does that say about the person that voted first? And what about someone coming in after me claiming to be me as well? Will they also have to take an oath? I think the returning officer on sight made a phone call to elections Canada about this. I also almost walked out of the booth with the pencil.
Note to Elections Canada put more golf score pencils in the booth.
on to the laundry, because as you know that's my "job" WHERE does it all come from? Where does it go. If I find it in a hamper, wash it, and put it away? where do it go at 630am when I hear "Mom I have no clothes?" I know I'm not a great housecleaner but it didn't grow legs.
Vacuuming? ICK! got to do more today. Must also clean the top of the fridge? Anyone want to do that for me? No? I didn't think so.
Sorry I'm whining.
I should see Stacy and work on Wining instead.
The Abandon Chair winter snow gage updates have ended. We lost our last Bit of snow on Monday of last week?
Oh also to be mentioned. I entered this contest over at Momspective... give away
Yep don't forget to compliment hercleavage I mean her necklace. As I learned in Marketing class. Location is everything.
I'm back on the weight loss bandwagon. I've gained a lot of winter weight this year. Well you saw that chair up there? What else do you do in winter if the snow is up to your chest? You eat/ yep. So now it's spring. The bathingsuit is hanging on the hook in my bedroom telling me to move more and eat less. I've still been walking. today I did some gardening, and some raking of the lawn. There are a LOT of rocks on there from the snow blower. oops.
Off I go and get to that laundry. Atleast there is sun, I might get it on the line today and dried.
