It's the 8th, and still I have no tree up! this is crazy. How ever did my parents get it all together with 5 children? I have to ask. I've got 3 kids here and I'm not ready for 17days, that;s less than 3wks. ACK!!!!
I've got one rather large guy that wants nitrous for his midlife crisis car.

 Another that thinks that 12yrolds NEED cellphones? really? Mommy doesn't have a cellphone yet so chances are? Santa doesn't have a cell plan in his sack either.
The 10yrold thinks that electronic games grow on Christmas trees? and that giving your "previous version" to your younger brother is crazy! Where did I go wrong here?
The happiest gift requester in the house is the 6yrold. He just wants gifts, and he's perfectly happy still with the wrappage!!

Oh Santa, please do all the prep for me? :) And please can someone just magic me up a decorated, tree and washed down walls? oh and bake and mail all my cards and gifts out?

Happy ThanksGiving from the Crazy Canadian

So as the snow fell yesterday, we got sillier. My younger two sons were home for the afternoon, and this is what we did. Some would think we are crazy but think about the fresh air.  I can't say Sunshine and vitamin D, because the sky was thick. Over all our Snowfall Warning? Was not much more than what's shown here to the left of the chair. The Chair's right, the photo's left.

Holy Random Batman. Random Tuesday

So I'm doing my usual today, talking on the phone, catching up on all my friends chit chat and A random Call to my day.

Mom Called, she might be coming to visit.

More Random? 15-25cm of snow coming. (that's 10inches at the most for thsoe playing in the USA), I say most but really I know weather is as random as it gets. there will be either LOTS or less.


It's not Thanksgiving here this week, but I am cooking a turkey Saturday. I pointed this out to Mom. She says "why"? well it comes down to my two oldest. There are 2 American Holidays we celebrate in this house. July4th (a bit) and US Thanksgiving. WE even go so far as to send the Man to the US to shop. It depends of course on the prices and the weather and the Random store openings.

I'm cleaning house. I've got 1 Santa on a door way to the basement, and a Runner on my coffe table with a Winter Theme (sleighs and trees and houses) I've also got a Clearance Priced Turkey sitting on the top of my Bakers rack and in all the cleanig? I found some Valentines still hanging from a shelf. See that? Random Decorating. It also sadly points out just how little cleaning I do in the run of a year.

Also if y ou don't look in mirrors very often? you wont noticed the spots on them.
Oh and for more Random? I'm still in my PJS! but hey no dentist visits.

Did I mention it was my Birthday last week? Random :P but yearly

I saw this today on a Friend's facebook status, and honestly my jaw hit the floor. Why is it that women put themselves down? Why is it that they repeat these things in a social media? I was completely lost on how to reply to this with a comment but I did. I know the poster is an awesome woman with a fabulous daughter. She's also completed a Business degree and works hard for her daughter and herself. Continuing to copy and paste this status teaches younger women what exactly?

I don't mind a woman being emotional, and showing their feelings. Tears, laughter, and showing your feelings are healthy, everyone should give it a try,  but we don't know the complete story ever. That's not even the part that bothers me. Yes women can be strong and work hard for themselves and their families and show their feelings but when did it become part of being a woman to be forgetful, unable to do Math or push a pull door? Within 4 sentences "I'm female" became I'm stupid? 

I'm a female and if you take time to get the time to know me? You'll figure out how to describe me and just how different "I" am from any other person you meet, male or female. 

Random Going ons

I meant to post the new yesterday but I got side tracked (again) by answering all my Birthday wishes on FB. Happy Birthday to me. Well yesterday. I'm still getting messages today. I think FB made Birthdays better. How else could a person feel like the center of the universe.

I also took one son to the Dentist, yes on a Wednesday. Those that have been reading a while realize we usually do Tuesday Dentists but well it just happened to be a Wednesday. When I booked it I booked it on my Birthday so I wouldn't forget. Birthdays make it hard to forget appointments.

I picked up the boys  about 5minutes early from school and we had Lunch at a local restaurant. The boys were so nicely behaved. I love it that they are getting older and learning how to keep themselves entertained and ordering for themselves. It's so very nice and calming. I don't cook, I don't do dishes and everyone gets to eat what they want. YAY! Taking the kids also lowers the "Drink" bill. LOL 

I dropped hubbie back off to work and we did the dentist thing, and picked up a few treats. :) It was such a great" me" day.  We got home and my oldest arrived home, his Wednesdays are longer school days than the younger ones.  After school snacks, leftovers for supper, YAY! no cooking, And hubbie arrived with the cake pictured above. hmmmmmm cheese cake. Brownieshmmmmmmm and carmel sauce.

Movember

Remembering November

Our Province has an official Statutory Holiday for Rememberance Day. Nothing will be open tomorrow. no stores, no offices, and other businesses. Not all provinces in Canada will "celebrate/remember" in this way. 

Today I have 2/3 of my kids home due to illness. They will miss their schools ceremonies and talks with veteran and Canadian Soldiers. These ceremonies will cement the young minds much more than anything they happen to hear in the news or read in a book. It will give them a real opportunity to Thank those that have fought for our Canadian outlook on life, with their lives and those that are still continuing to protect our country. I'm sorry my 2 will miss this years ceremony but am so Thankful for our province seeing the importance to leave it in their curriculum. We have friends and family in the military but even those stories told to young children aren't the same as the Remembrance Day Ceremonies in School or in town with many others sharing the memories. And some wont share those stories at all. It's just too much for themselves and they want to protect their friends and families. The protection continues.

There are some that will willingly take their children out of school today because it's too "close to home" and others that will take them out because there will be prayers. Isn't it so great to live in a country where we have that option? Isn't it great that we make those choices. I feel bad today that some may think my 2 boys are out for those reasons. They are not, they were out earlier this week too but to those that do not know us? these are the things that enter my mind.

This month we wear our poppies as a Thank You. I will continue to pray and hope and dream of a world where Peace is a reality and no one dies in battle over right and wrong, and that knowing what's right so much more important than anything else.  I did say dream.

Friday FoodFight October

Happy Friday. Today it's Freezing. I woke up to Temps of -1C yeah that's under that pretty 32F you all use for your Freezing point in the US. I've been known to use the term "tres F***ing Brrrrrrr" to describe these kinds of mornings.(did you see my bilingualism?)

So let's talk food, warm, belly warming food. So I've linked up over At Run DMT this Friday, because as we've all seen it's all about the meme's lately. I've lost my Blogging Mojo but I do miss all my readers and chatting it up with you all.

So Let me see. Warm and cozy food...

Ok so in the process of all this hunting for pics, I managed to wash the dishes... still hunting...


So it seems in order to have a food pic today for the warm and cozy food that is  on my mind? I've got to resort to making chili! Yes nothing says a cold October Evening meal like Chili. (now to move to the laptop to get the picture I still haven't learned to move from my cam to my Fedora run desktop, <--- I must be serious today)

Chili

2lbs of ground beef, browned and drained of grease.

1 large onion, chopped,

1 cup green pepper

15oz can of red Kidney beans,

1 can of corn, you're choice of sizes

1 28oz can diced tomatoes

1 19oz can of tomato sauce

And then the spices,

Garlic powder,

Chili powder ( I used chipolte)

Salt,

Pepper

cumin,

Paprika,

This is  a pretty easy to throw together meal, it can be as spicy as you like it. If the hubbie was involved there would be some kind of infinity sauce or "ass in (insert cold ness)" but I wont let him do that since I've got to feel the children. We must think of the children.

3. A great deal __of my day today was spent running around, well actually a great deal of this month was spent running around. The older boys have joined Cross Country running and I've been going to the meets. ___.

4. ___I would like this evening to have a rum and coke in__ big tall glass.

5. It was announced __to my children that I love them___.

6. ___I also need to buy some new__ steak knives.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to _going shopping this evening with the "magic" money____, tomorrow my plans include ___helping hubbie to build a mini putt__ and Sunday, I want to _get the children off to Sunday School, where did the summer go? Yep GONE____!

Traveling Heart Shaped Rock

No I did not forget you Heart Shaped Rock. Well yes I did forget you when I went to New River Beach on the 14th of August. I'm sorry, but the trip was a bit longer than I expected so you poor heart shaped Rock? you stayed home in your cute little bag sent from Patty in CT. oh she wrapped you up so nice. I'm going to be sending out to Tracy in the same bag. I can't mess with perfection.

The envelope you arrived in? had seen better days. I suspect that the custums peeps had a agreat time digging into the insulated bag? What were they expecting? I have to wonder. "oh look a rock?"
 probably for the cash and valuable prizes they thought were bound for Canada? Patty I do love my Cards. I LOVE the Font.

Well Rock I did promise to take you to my favourite places. This Rock is "my" favorite summertime location in NB. I didn't get you intime to take you to Cape Breton Island but that doesn't mean I couldn't take you to a Beach. I do love going out to the Beach in the Summer. As you know here in the Artic (HA! kidding) Tundra we have snow for about 6-8months at a time. (well almost)


So without more blah blah blah? here is The ROCK!

First we enjoyed some Sun and a good book. It's alone time here because the lifeguards? they are on duty. It's like "almost free" babysitting. YES I watchy my own kids out of the corner of my eye.  (pokes nose back in book)

 And there is sun protection, loving this Avon hat. Keeping the face young and healthy.

But then dear rock? I left you alone on the beach blanket in the sand with Hubbie and I went swimming. (dog paddling, I know I've got to get my head in the water)


So Rock This week you are going back into an package and heading to see Tracy. I do wonder what she will do with you?  Thanks Ann, over at AnnagainandAgain too  for Bringing the rocky goodness to the World.  I hope Rock you enjoyed your prolong Stay in NB.

I'm stylin!

Well I know she must be stopping by and admiring my pre designed and "FREE" Lighthouse back ground? Or been watching me grow out of my clothes in the wrong direction. Yes that must be it. I've got some extra "curve" to me this summer. ACK!

So in accepting this award I am required to tell you 7 things about myself. Let me see, what do you not know yet?

1. I'm back on the weight loss wagon. Yesterday I took out my note book and I'm journalling my food intake. The kicker was lastnight after the boys were all in bed. Oh did I want to dig into a "treat". I didn't. I went and read a book.<- Again! note the Again.

2. I love taking the boys to the beach. It's the best part of the summer, they are happy to play in the sand and float in the waves and splash each other and no one says "MOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM he hit me. Today it's pouring rain, so there are more MOM'S! 



3. I'm nervous for this coming school year. My boys are not learning to be patient, to budget, or to wait for anything. They want everything instantly and without any thought of how they will accomplish their goals. Sad but true.

4. If I could go back to the sleep, eat, burp, poop days of raising children? I'd totally do it. That is without adding to the current number of children of course.

5. I love a good sale, but I don't like the paying part.

6. I am addicted to those stupid Zygna games. Really they suck, their developers love to release things with bugs in them. They never ever work and they must hate Linux because they never work the way I want them to. Plug and play? HA!

7. I'm also addicted to reading blogs. It's like watching from the outside looking in. I'm sure that anyone that's read my comments on their blogs has figure that one out. So keep writing. :)

I had to get my camera working first from the trip to the Island and then well I didn't GO anywhere. CRAP I thnk I just heard thunder. If it's not one noise it's another round her. 20minutes ago? it was neighbours setting off fire works? Really? Who needs fireworks in their back yard (surrounded by trees) in August?  Provincial (Banky holiday) was last week?

So tonight I'm sitting around having some drinky poos. Yeah It's Friday I had originally planned to get my but out the door and go to a Pschyic Fest. My partner in crime, didn't call back. So much for my girls night out, so here I sit, Rum and pepsi Max in hand playing on the laptop. The breeze is passing over the keys, the spell check is probably having a cow and I'm having some time with Captain Morgan. Nice Guy.

Snacks? What else, Canadian Ketchup Chips.... oops so much for the diet now. I was doing really well this week. I was watching myself like a hawk. I saw the "reunion pics" it's bad, so much for my 2yr plan (2yrs ago)

Random Tuesday "does she still blog?"

Yes I do. I'm home from Vacation from my Vacation and today I managed to find some pics on my camera cards, and Do some Random bloghopping.


It's Random Tuesdsay.
As with most Random Tuesdays in my life there was Dentist stuff going on. My wake up call was from the dentist office today. (pppstt eventually? kids sleep in and it's the phone that wakes you on a summers morning, true story)
I changed the appointment for September. Once the boys are back in school, it's like a Spa treatment for your teeth. (once you get 16 things repaired, replaced and reangled)

So what do I have out of all those pics?

So you all know how much I love my Island? well this is just 1 beach we visited while there.  I took this pic from the parking lot. This beach btw is for sale. True.  The land for the parking is owned by a church, they are selling off assets. So if you want beach front? This is a Lake

We left this beach and went to this beach... River Front beach (use your imagination for a bit)
Darn that beach has a person in it. I'll have to hijack someone else's camera card and get a better pic. Hubbie's phone might have something braver. :P

After that beach I(same day) took the kids and hubbie to the Ocean Beach. See on my island? the choices are endless. Three Beaches in 1 day? sure we can.


While on vacation it rained about 60% of the days, so one night at the cottage? I made s'mores... in the oven! yep, too wet for a fire,  too mosquitoey for being out in the evening after the rainfall so oven it was.

I wish I had taken a picture? next year...

I also had my High School Reunion on the last weekend on the island. We had a graduating class of 103, in the 105h year of the schools being, out of a potential 115 grads.  14 ladies showed up 20yrs later to converse, play with our kids and study the island wildlife.

This is the look off from Route 4 on my Island. Largest Salt Water Lakes in the world that I know of...  If you read Friday Fill-ins on Friday the 5th? Go visit it's beautiful.   I know it's not very "random"' but when you pack 3 boys in a van for a 12 day visit to an island? it's Random. If your husband shows up on his own 4 days into the visit cause he missed you all? then it's really gets random.

Friday Fill-ins Vacation from Vacation

I'm back home from the Island. I figured I'd go over to Friday Fill-ins and Get back into Posting. I have more to tell about my Vacation to the Island but I need to get more batteries from my Camera and figure out how to get my Pics online. Seems it's a different kind of USB card. I will figure it out. My Card Reader doesn't like 4G.

1. How can I __explain my Island? well it seems that Good Morning America did it for me___.





2. __So now that I'm home I'll have to catch up on yard work and___ weed __the flowerbeds. Holy Overgrown ___.

3. My hair ___is also overgrown. I must fix that too__.

4. __I had my 20yrs High School___ reunion _this weekend, I was disappointed that only 14 girls out of 103 graduates made it. I was happy to see some come home from as far away as Alberta. I would also like to congratulate one of our grads on the birth of her new baby girl. If she's reading this (hehe) this she will know who she is____.

5. My favorite summer fruits ___are peaches, blueberries and strawberries. I took the boys berry picking while we were home. OH so Juicey! Quinn's U-pick in Millville,NS has gorgeous berries and helpful staff. __.

6. __JellyFish___...what was that?

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to _BBQing supper for the boys, some sun, some lawnmowing, (ok looking forward to that one might be a stretch)____, tomorrow my plans include _Playground hopping with the boys, checking the mail for my heart shaped rock again, ____ and Sunday, I want to ____REST as Sunday is meant to be about_!

VGNO! so of course this is going to call for some Rum and coke. Fine since I must tell the truth it's diet Pepsi, there was sale. Has anyone else noticed that Coke and Pepsi 'sales' just aren't? creep creep creep up and up and up. Soon the Rum will be cheaper.


I will have to chill it all for now, the boys and I are heading to the River for a Dip. They are all extra cranky crispy today so I think some dip time would be a good investment in mommy sanity.

Another point of Interest the Travelling Rock? I'll let you all know when I get my hands on it, but you know how sometimes bloggers add things to these travelling objects? no one would object if I sent you some kids right? Anyone? what? oh the extra cranky Crispy sentence turned you off? oops! (note to sell leave out the "fun" parts)

Random Tuesday on the Fly

So happy belated Canada Day, how did you spend it? Did you celebrate even if you were in the USA? no? Ok well Happy Belated 4th of July? How did you spend that one? no didn't? you were in Canada? ah I see...

So on with the Random...

Today the boys are playing with the camera. I have some Canada Day pics and some 4th of July pics on my Camera, but someone (not the kids or me) Drained the battery. Oh it also wasn't the cat that did it...


Friday we Celebrated, we went out to a midway, got some midway food, and I think I actually saw a girl I used to work with in Ottawa. It took me about 4hours to remember where I knew her from.

The Midway was a mix of Fun and interesting. I enjoyed the people watching. The kids enjoyed the rides. I didn't get on any. I saw how they were put together.

My flower gardens are coming up Fabulous this year. I did some selective cutting back this year. I took out the Edge Hog and Zipped and Zapped down those spots that weren't quite as nice last year. I also put some boys to work this spring removing the dead from last year. Wow the difference.

The food of the weekend? was a bit overboard. There was a Cheesecake involved. I had to mention that because Julie says she's never had Cheese cake. This one of those "easy" recipes that I have been making since I was 12.

1 1/2 cup Graham Crumbs,
1/4 cup icing sugar
1/4 cup melted Butter/margerine. SMoosh it down after it's all mixed and wet into the pan, this is your crust (9X13pan)

next step Mix up Dream Whip with the blender, 1 package,
1 8oz pack of cream cheese,
1/2cup icing sugar (you can use less if you want it less sweet)

Whip all that together.

Top layer, Can of Cherry Pie Filling spread all out. Done~ put it in the fridge with foil cover until you need it. I usually make it 8-12ish hours in advance. Oh also Don't forget to grease the pan. I forgot this, it was a bit hard to lift out.


Oh and we also did fireworks Friday night. We drove to another town to see theirs, and saw our town's 12minute version on the way home.



Sunday we hit the beach for the first time this season. Great weather and I mostly did the people watching, snack wrangling and holding down of the blanket. The kids and Hubbie got in the River. (yeah cold) My ankles were the early warning sign to stay out of the water. All boys survived. YAY!! also Locals? Stop swearing and smoking around kids. It's not healthy for anyone. And your vulgar rendition of "Oh Lord it's hard to Be Humble..." was plain stupid. Also Alcohol not allowed on the beach. It says on the sign. Why must everyone think the rules are for everyone else?

Monday... work as usual. We did light up some Sparklers last night for the older boys benefit. They are my American Made children.

RTT last Tuesday of the School Year, Yep I'm the Avon Lady

Where oh where did this school year go? Today is the "picnic with your kids" day. The teachers invite the parents to come to school and have lunch with their kids. There are a few ways of doing this. Some parents bring lunch from take out shops, or fast food, others like myself start baking and chopping up a storm so there is awesome homebaked, and health choices.


My oldest has a bike day, he's going out and biking the local trails with other Middle School kids, all Day today. I suspect he will come home sunburned. I forgot to send the sunscreen. You would think since I sell the stuffs? I could remember to pack it in the bag? no...

So as you see above there it's Random Tuesday Thoughts, and our Stacy is still going strong on the rebellion. click,write, link, it's all good.

Anyone interested in Being an Avon rep? need A few summer $ for you kids back to school supplies? yep I know they aren't even out yet and I'm talking about More $ for getting them back there.

Remember when summer was a vacation? yeah me too, this year? it's all about learning. I'm sending my oldest out for some lessons on himself, finding ways to help him learn better and better himself.
My middle son and babe (I know he's 6 but I want to call him baby, cause he's my baby!) Will be doing T-ball. They play tonight. I'll try to catch some pics tonight.

Oldest will be playing ultimate Frizbee? (I must go look up those rules, don't need it to turn into the WWE)

I baked some banana loaf this morning. I've been aiming to walk 5miles a day again. OMG I love it! I go in the mornings now when everyone is at school. I'll need a new plan once they are out next week. I will still try to get out before the days get hot.

There is a house I pass on my route. They have a tree. It looks like a baby Weeping Willow in a bucket. Well this tree? is sitting in the bucket on the lawn over the well? (I thought willows and water didn't mix? something about the roots being water chasers...?) The ground is all dug away around the well and there this tree sits in it's bucket. I've been walking with a friend and I said one day. "I see they are still in negotiations on who will put the tree in and maybe where?" There is another cleared spot in the yard to the right if we are walking up and left if we are walking down.. hehe  I said "wouldn't it be even funnier if the tree was moved everyday? It would make for some interesting stories while walking" (you've got to keep the walking conversation going or you'll never keep going right?) So She took that to mean "So if I come back tomorrow and see the tree moved, I'll know you were up here in the middle of the night moving the tree?"
This is where I walked faster, and whistled as I walk away...giggling.

Next Day? no I didn't move the tree, but it's now a running gag. "So now that our walk is done today what time did you want to go back and move the tree?" ....


and Monday  "So you really like the tree there better?" (Tree hasn't moved)

Some days the Random just happens all by itself.

Bear hasn't shown up yet.

How was all the Father's Day Sundays? I called my Dad, Canada Post is still on stike and now they are locked out. (insert over exaggerated Eye roll) I know you totally want to be Canadian This week after all I've told eh? <---- no I don't say eh as much as I do on the blog.

So you heard about the hockey too? yeah but they had Canadian players on their team... why yes I used to live closer to that team, maybe that's why?


Avon... great stuffs. This week? I woke up put in my avon earings, combed my hair with my avon bought brush, washed my face with my anew facial wash, brushed my teeth, made breakfasts and lunches, stored my leftover pepper in the Chefable (Avon) pepper container, got the boys off to school. Went walking wearing my curves pedometer, purchased from avon. (could have but didn't buy yet some curves sport wear or shoes) came home. Shower time. Avon Shampoo, Skin So Soft body wash and shave gel for the legs, all with the Avon Puff, washed my face again with the anew because the walking face was a bit sweaty. Dried off, put on my avon camisole, put on my SPF daycream on my face, moiturized  my elbow and knees with my avon Care cream. Add more Sunscreen and my Sun Hat...

After I was dressed more, I put on my avon super magnifying mascara,ultra luxury eye liner and perfect pink moisture seduction lipstick.

I stashed my mini make bag in my purse, put on my Avon Sterling Silver Love Believe Dream

And my Black Satin Avon Watch I have both but black suited the day. Love them. And off I went for the Day.




oh and I was wearing this too.  I love Selling Avon both to me and even you.

Tonight I'll top all this off with some Footworks Watermelon Scrub. My feet totally thank me for that little trick.

Has anyone noticed there are a LOT more spiders this year? I just hung out a load of clothes and killed 4 spiders on the line. Oh Crap! this probably means rain tomorrow....

Ultra Sounds and Caring

I know you all just clicked to see if I had an announcement?  I was just reading over at Growing Towards a Dream. She's dreaming lots these days, and I'm sure dreaming of the wonderful future for her  family.  It's exciting to read about her newest dream. (go read, remember to come back please). So I was reading nad she was talking about her latest u/s and rather than clog up her comments section? I came here.
My governmentfunded/hubbie's insurance experience was just as rude for me when I had #3. I had Mr almost 12 and Mr9  in the USA. They bend  over backwards to make the Mom-to-be feel like a Queen good or bad. I had a u/s for #1 at 13wks because I was unsure if I was going to get to the end of the pregnancy. I had spotting, and this being my first time around I was nervous. The tech that looked at the screen and did all the measurements and investigations was excellent. He allowed a non family member to stay with me from beginning to end. Hubbie was at work and couldn't come home, newish hire and all. My OB also had me scheduled for another u/s at 20wks to insure I was NOT having Twins (they run in my family) and growing was going according to plans. I was measuring 2wks ahead, so I had another u/s at 31wks and then again at 33wks when I started spotting. Mr almost 12 showed up at 35wks. More U/S followed, to find out why he showed up early, and after he was born and at 10wks old we had another u/s experience when they checked on his brain for a cyst. All these experiences came with excellent nurses and Doctors and techs that new this was our pride and joy.
Come child #2 with all my worries about another preemie, the techs and Doctors and nurses were so comforting for every u/s I had. There were less u/s because they weren't necessary, but each one was a day of care and hope and hand holding. During both of the older boys ultrasounds it was my husband that told me we were having a boy. The techs confirmed it as he told me and there was no guessing and lots of time to prepare for my life with boys.
Then I get back to Canada?Within a year of moving here I became pregnant with Mr6.  You would think I'd asked them to carry the baby themselves when I asked simple to the point questions? My husband (yes husband) wasn't allowed in the room until the tech did measurements. WTF? What if she didn't see a baby? What if she saw 2 right away? What if all things weren't as they should be? I had no one there to be "my" Support. The next WTF? they were not allowed. Did you read that? Allowed to tell me the sex of my child. MY child? It doesn't make sense. I didn't want "regulations" explained. They even went so far as to avoid the area that my husband would recognise? Yes almost 7yrs later? I'm still pissed.

Dear Canada remember to put the care in healthCARE. I know that ultrasound techs see babies constantly on their screens but for a Mom to be? its the glimpse of just what's going on in there that they need to keep them comforted during their wait.
If something is wrong? Tell Mom that, find a way to talk to her, find a doctor or a nurse that has the skills or the time that day.   I know your job isn't easy. I know that some days you don't have the words, and you have your own life going on. I know you need to not take your work home with you? but you know what else? These are the parts of the job that you signed up for, it's part of the careers you chose. You didn't choose bad endings, and you didn't choose cranky patients, but you did choose to learn the skills that keep Moms hoping beyond Hope that their wishes and dreams will continue, or how to live past what wasn't there. Provinces? Let Techs Be Caring and Compassionate and the skills to give their patients exactly what they need. Canada Give Canadians more Funding so they can continue to learn and grow in this most amazing profession. 

Friday Fill-ins, Happy Father's Day Weekend Dads!!

1. One of my favorite birthday presents was __a telephone when I was 12. I really really really wanted it, and YAY! I got it for my own bedroom___.

2. __I went to the store didn't get my strawberries, because the man was putting them away at 9pm. If I can't see them? I can't buy them___, it was as simple as that. (pssssssst that's for you Atlantic Superstore! I'll buy them at Sobeys, Thanks Sobeys for restocking your shelves this week vs unstocking)

3. The moon ___last night was beautiful it was so pretty to see shining through all the spring/ish full leafy trees__.

4. _My summer plans____ includes _a lot of unplanned flying by the seat of my pants plans____.

5. I was tempted by _turning around today, I had started walking with a friend, and she had to go rescue her sick girlie from school. I kept her youngest with me so she'd have to come back and after some tea and coffee, and maybe a Timbit (shhh! for the kids) we went again. Off we went with 1 large Dog, one sick almost 12yrold, one 5yrold and one 3yrold and a wagon. We are determined. Summer mornings are much better after a walk. I do hope the cool morning trend will last for most of the summer. I did not see the bear yet. (tip toes, hide the picnic baskets)____.

6. _Trying new foods, going to the Beach, Grilling, walking through the cool wooded paths in the local parks___ are some of the things I like to do on vacation.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to _my almost12yrold getting better, it's been a long week of fever and chills and and empty belly. He's perking up though, next trick ice cream laced with antibiotics,shhhh!____, tomorrow my plans include __Rainy Saturday according to the forecast so I'll try to get some of the basement tidied, and some Avon brochures Sorted,___ and Sunday, I want to __Spend Father's Day with my hubbie and calling My Dad and FIL! Happy Father's Day Weekend to all the Dads___!

1. I remember when I first heard _my TJ's newborn cry, in a month it will be 12yrs____.

2. _Lastnight the skies opened up and the rain came____ showering down _in a downpour. It was beautiful____.

3. Most humans ___need to eat to live but like myself get confused and live to eat. oops__.

4. ___"I'm bored"__...sound familiar?

5. I was inspired by __@peady today, She's awesome. She's on twitter. She makes my Friday's fun___.

6. ___The kids drive to finish their homework and clean their rooms for the summer has gone missing to __ who knows where!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to __Time with the Hubbie and kiddies, a walk with a friend and maybe I'll get to try out my new Kamodo Joe BBQ, if I can convince the hubbie to put the charcoal in, I can't lift that much___, tomorrow my plans include _more Kamado Joe. some massive Putting away of the winter clothes and trying on of the summer shorts____ and Sunday, I want to _REST,  and maybe picnic with the boys. I wonder if the beach is open? Summer, Bring it____!

Sometimes They are Working Together

I went to the kitchen just now to get another cup of tea. Tea and I are now as close as I used to be with coffee. Coffee though and my belly have  bad relationship. So I'm standing at the kitchen sink and I look out my window and I see this! It's so perfect I take a picture.  Tell me what you see in this picture? (other than the long pants and long sleeves)

For all the arguments and blame games this is a precious moment. TJ was on the job and MJ got dressed and went out side "where are you going?"

and I heard it but I figured he'd go out and get on the swings or run around in the piles that TJ had made while cleaning up. Ahhhh today I'm a happy mommy!

Random Tuesday Thoughts.. I know I slack

I haven't been too posty mc posterson for the month of May, but it's Tuesday and what better reason to post some random can't fill up a page stuffs then Tuesday.

Summer, yep it's feeling a Lot like summer. I know some of you were totally expecting me to post some of this all up until about August?

But it isn't it's more like this now...

Much better, much greener but now it's Much hotter too.  That hat there? It's Avon.  Just thought I'd mention that for any Canadian shoppers reading along...

We went to the Island 2weekends ago. The weather was a bit chilly but we got to see the grandparents and my Grandma, totally worth the drive.

We are trying to get the boys involved in some sports this year. TJ has picked Ultimate Frisbee, AJ and MJ have picked T-ball. I will be spending some time at the fields.

With this great weather, I've been hiding on my porch swing too. Love it! a space to read, some fresh air and some people watching. No one thinks to look into my corner but I can see and hear them as they walk by.

Ok bus is here.  Only 3 ish weeks of school left here.  The boys go back after labour Day again this year.  (not that I'm thinking about sending them back yet...)

Oh my ice cream is cold on teeth. Also it's Tuesday and no Dentist visits today.
