Calandar Snaffo, Holiday Weekend

Dear Calandar maker,

My Son really loves your Angry Birds Calandar. He's got it hanging on his wall in his room, he counts down everything but today he came to tell me that his Country's Birthday (similar to the 4th of July) had moved to July 2nd. Canada Day doesn't move.  I realize that this might have been because it's a Monday, but like the USA we do not move our National Date of Birth (or representative day). The USA has July4th. Canada has July 1st.  I hope that next year's calandars haven't been published with a similar error? If you could leave it on Monday the 1st of July for 2013 that would be great.

Goals

When working on something big, you've got to have a goal in mind. My middle son's bedroom has always been a bit of a challenge for him. He LOVES stuff. He wants everything to be kept forever! I see a clutterbug in the making but I'm trying hard to give him the tools to weed out the "Stuff". My hubbie has also been working on his clutterbug tendencies, various online auction and yardsale sites have been the key to his decluttering but there are some things that 10yrold boys see in Daddy's piles of stuff that just "must be mine" as Mr10 puts it. Last week Mr10 saw a Air Hockey Table leaning against a Wall in the hubbie's Man Cave. I saw the light in his eyes the glow of "it must be mind". The deal was put in motion. First step declutter hair...

Then clear room of all wrappers, art work and clothes that were under the bed, behind he closet doors, the room door and the dresser. After the floors are clear, and you've mapped out your room space, you recruit your Mom and Dad to carry the heavy reward to your room and set it up. Oh the smile!!

Some call it Bribery I like to call it negotiating positive rewards.

Random Tuesday Thoughts Borrow a cup of Sugar

Hi there, yes it's me and it's Tuesday and no there is no dentist appointment but there is Random!!! come on you know you want to. I'll get to the linking to Stacy in a bit.

The gardens are growing nicely. This week I found out that these? are called Sundrops. Thank you to my neighbour of long ago and FB for making the connection when I posted the pic there.

 I posted the pic there because my Mom wanted to see my flowers. She loves Flowers and I had told her I had flowers but you know no one  believes you until the pics right?

Also in other news this morning I borrowed me a cup of sugar. I mean sweetness from my neighbour. My shirt still smells of new born goodness.

It was ultra hot last week but the last 3 days have been rain and clouds and breezes. I think we get these kinds of days to remind us that well it all can't be hot hot hot!!

Oldest Boy is enjoying his Soccer evenings, he  biked over himself this past week after spending a day with his class in another City. He just got on his bike with his gear in a bag and off he went. I'm trying hard ot curb my

Helicoptor parenting. It's hard, I want him to grow up and be responsible but the control mommy in me wants to keep him where I can see him. I've heard some disturbing stories of other places and things going on recently but well I've got to let go.

Boy 2 is totally loving fastpitch Softball. Wow! I've never seen him brush off an injury before. Hubbie goes with him twice a week and it's a great bonding time for them.

Boy3 is loving his Tball for now. I think though next year I'll try to move him up to a softball league. The basics are there but need some more rules and fast paced action. Ah remember when we were young and all you had to do was find 9-12 other bored kids and say "let's play ball? (or soccerbasebal)l" and suddenly you weren't too hot, hungry, bored or angry at your siblings for talking too much, you just wanted to play?

The rain is coming down again. I suspect it will eventually stop right? no one had a 100 day rainy stretch right?
