I'm stylin!

Yes Karen said so. Karen over at "If I could escape..."

Well I know she must be stopping by and admiring my pre designed and "FREE" Lighthouse back ground? Or been watching me grow out of my clothes in the wrong direction. Yes that must be it. I've got some extra "curve" to me this summer. ACK!

So in accepting this award I am required to tell you 7 things about myself. Let me see, what do you not know yet?

1. I'm back on the weight loss wagon. Yesterday I took out my note book and I'm journalling my food intake. The kicker was lastnight after the boys were all in bed. Oh did I want to dig into a "treat". I didn't. I went and read a book.<- Again! note the Again.

2. I love taking the boys to the beach. It's the best part of the summer, they are happy to play in the sand and float in the waves and splash each other and no one says "MOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM he hit me. Today it's pouring rain, so there are more MOM'S! 



3. I'm nervous for this coming school year. My boys are not learning to be patient, to budget, or to wait for anything. They want everything instantly and without any thought of how they will accomplish their goals. Sad but true.

4. If I could go back to the sleep, eat, burp, poop days of raising children? I'd totally do it. That is without adding to the current number of children of course.

5. I love a good sale, but I don't like the paying part.

6. I am addicted to those stupid Zygna games. Really they suck, their developers love to release things with bugs in them. They never ever work and they must hate Linux because they never work the way I want them to. Plug and play? HA!

7. I'm also addicted to reading blogs. It's like watching from the outside looking in. I'm sure that anyone that's read my comments on their blogs has figure that one out. So keep writing. :)

Q&A, Tagged.

Seems I was tagged, last month to do this Q&A and like a bad Tweeter or twitter head, I haven't been on in a while. Karen, over at If I Could Escape.

Which living person do you most admire, and why?
My sister! She amazes me every day in all she does for her boys, no matter what is going on to her heart.
When were you happiest?
I've been happy many times, it's hard to narrow it down to the "est". I think this is something I'll have to wait some more years to live and think about. I guess that means Stay tuned?
What was your most embarrassing moment?
there have been many, again I can't pin point most and I think there will be many more. There are a few odd ball moments, and a few I've been known to go back and think about but nothing lately.


Aside from property, what’s the most expensive thing you’ve bought?
an unused college and university education. expensive? wow! I can't imagine how much it will cost me to pay to educate my kids.

What is your most treasured possession?
my wedding ring.
Where would you like to live?
At the moment I'm quite happy here in Canada
What’s your favourite smell?
fresh baked cinnamon buns. mmmmmmm

Who would play you in the film of your life?
some one that hasn't been famous yet I guess.
What is your favourite book?
Outlander Series.
What is your most unappealing habit?
procrastinating. (see college)
What would be your fancy dress costume of choice?
Fancy... hmmmm I don't dress up fancy very often. I can't even think of a style.
A-line? to hide a lot of extra bumps.

What is your earliest memory?
Going camping in cottages with my brother and mom and dad, this was before the youngest 3 were part of the family. I think I might have been 5 going on 6. Dad was asking me to help add to the list of things to bring, I said my brother's Tonka trucks. Dad thought it was a great idea. :) Score!

What is your guiltiest pleasure?

Cheese cake, but I'm cutting back so it's going to be a LONG while before I have it again.

What do you owe your parents?
Dad's- blue eyes.

To whom would you most like to say sorry, and why?

My hubbie because today I'm here typing away after complaining lastnight he was so busy fixing my van! it's my Van he fixed, and for me, and yet I'm whining?

What or who is the greatest love of your life?

My Hubbie.
What does love feel like?
calm, settled, safe and sometimes not.
What was the best kiss of your life?
hmmmmm the night I met my hubbie. I was sitting on a swing in a park.

Which words or phrases do you most overuse?

"hurry up", "stop picking on your brother(s)" or "no"

What is the worst job you’ve done?

newspaper delivery girl. 7am was sooo early.

If you could edit your past, what would you change?

not meeting my hubbie about 6months earlier. Then again...

nothing yet. (say a little prayer)

My children.

Because my hubbie had 10 spots burned off his poor bald head this past week.

How do you relax?

watching TV with hubbie while he rubs my legs. :)

get myself to a healthier weight.

I have to DO for me, but it's totally ok to ask for support.

What do you love most about where you currently live? It's closer to home then anywhere else I've lived after leaving home.

Around the World in 80 Clicks

I've been Tagged! I'm going to participate so bare with me as I work on getting this right the first time! First the copy and paste. I was tagged by Cara over at Momma Says in this post Around the World in 80 Clicks.

The Rules.
The rules are to list five things you love about parenthood and link back to the meme's authors, Catherine at Her Bad Mother and David at It's Not a Lecture so they know you need to be added to the departure lounge. Then, you need to tag five other mommy bloggers, some from your country and some from others. David is hooking everyone up - see the HBM post I've linked to above for details.

Now for my 5 things...

1. I love that Parenthood has taught me I do not know everything, my kids continually inform me of the things I do not know or just how uninformed I am about the real world.
2. I love that Parenthood teaches me just how much I can love my kids, I remember the day I was handed my first boy, TJ was so tiny, and I got to hold him for only a few seconds before he was taken to be checked out. He was a 5wk preemie. I also remember talking to my Mom on the phone and saying "I love him SO much" and her saying back "I know" cause she did she knew exactly how much because that was how much she loved me and my siblings.
3. I love that Parenthood is constantly changing, there is no room to be bored here. No way, they rules change constantly and the little men change with each day, if I thought I had it "down" and knew what I was doing yesterday, I was being cocky cause today it's going to change.
4. I Love that Parenthood was given to me by my Hubbie and that I can see my Hubbie in my boys. It's those certain looks that he gets, or the chin dipples that I see in TJ that Hubbie has, the blue eyes in all of them. I also see some of his attitudes, and it's almost funny to watch.
5. I Love the Cuddles and hugs and kisses of Parenthood. I love when they used to cuddle in close for a feeding or hold my fingers while they got down to the job at hand. The tiny little fingers and toes and now seeing how big those tiny toes and fingers are getting. How BIG A hug can get from then to now, and I look forward to the Hugs of the future.
