Friday FoodFight October

Happy Friday. Today it's Freezing. I woke up to Temps of -1C yeah that's under that pretty 32F you all use for your Freezing point in the US. I've been known to use the term "tres F***ing Brrrrrrr" to describe these kinds of mornings.(did you see my bilingualism?)

So let's talk food, warm, belly warming food. So I've linked up over At Run DMT this Friday, because as we've all seen it's all about the meme's lately. I've lost my Blogging Mojo but I do miss all my readers and chatting it up with you all.

So Let me see. Warm and cozy food...

uh oh... pictures... still looking... there must be a picture...

Ok so in the process of all this hunting for pics, I managed to wash the dishes... still hunting...

So it seems in order to have a food pic today for the warm and cozy food that is  on my mind? I've got to resort to making chili! Yes nothing says a cold October Evening meal like Chili. (now to move to the laptop to get the picture I still haven't learned to move from my cam to my Fedora run desktop, <--- I must be serious today)

Chili

2lbs of ground beef, browned and drained of grease.
1 large onion, chopped,
1 cup green pepper
15oz can of red Kidney beans,
1 can of corn, you're choice of sizes
1 28oz can diced tomatoes
1 19oz can of tomato sauce
And then the spices,
Garlic powder,
Chili powder ( I used chipolte)
Salt,
Pepper
cumin,
Paprika,
This is  a pretty easy to throw together meal, it can be as spicy as you like it. If the hubbie was involved there would be some kind of infinity sauce or "ass in (insert cold ness)" but I wont let him do that since I've got to feel the children. We must think of the children.

Happy Friday.

I LOVE chili.

We had a very hard frost here this morning, though I did not think to check the temperature gauge.

That sounds PERFECT for the cold snowy day we're having today. Yep, it's SNOWING outside!! Crazy - it's been many years since PA saw snow in October! :)

I love a good chili. Unfortunately nobody NOBODY in my house cares for it but me. So if I make a batch, I have to commit to eating a batch.

Perfect food to warm you up in those frigid temps though. My boys wore sweaters today because it was in the 70s. Sad.

I like to put corn in mine too, and I like it really spicy! :)
