Random Tuesday Rebellion

Happy Tuesday Readers, yes I'm still kicking it here at home in this the LAST week of Summer Holidays for the boys. We're still trying our hardest to fill in the blanks.

All the boys have finished up their Summer Sports for the year. Our Oldest had a whole summer of independance. He's now too old for the local community sports so this year we let him  go alone on Thursday nights. He missed 3 nights total, one he was too tired and decided he'd be better off home asleep. (he read 2 books his Grandparents sent him within a week, up all night much?) 2 other nights we were away from town on vacation. He did though enjoying having the time out to play/socialize. I worry though about him sometimes he's not a very social guy, he'd find extreme happiness in just being home reading, or playing computer games.

Middle Boy did Fast Pitch this year, he loved love love it! really he did come home one night holding his face after getting hit by the ball but the next time it happened, he was all smiles "I got hit by the ball and didn't cry..." HA! He is way more social and enjoys the company of other kids his age or even older. He's sensitive but not so much that it hinders him when he know his peers are around.  (hope they aren't reading. shhhh!) He's grown up a lot this summer. He missed 2 games as well while we were away, and he really "missed" it. He couldn't wait to get home so he could go to the next game. Hubbie even got him out there, to play, when it was obvious it was rained out.  We have his uniform ready for next year, he totally wants to go back.  Any other locals reading... come on you know  you want to go too?

Other skills picked up this year were learning how to text from his 3DSi to his friend 1 street over.  I have to say the biggest obstacle in our summer life when it comes to socialize here is the huge numbers of Parents with duel incomes. The parents are never home during the days when we were and then at night? OMG they so want to suck up all the time the can with their kids before summer is over.  I can understand that, I realize I'm spoiled having my boys here with me a majority of the day. I also get so watch all the kid shows without looking like a dork?
WW news? down 20lbs as of last Wednesday.Anyone find Perry? hmmmmm?  Does a Platypus weigh 20lbs? Just a Random Wonder... so link up btw over at Stacy's and get on the random bandwagon...

Wonder if there's wine...? hmmmmmmmmmm Today btw is 20yrs since I met my hubbie we celebrated 17yrs of marriage on Saturday. Celebrate is a bit of a bi word... we spent the day helping all the boys with a contraption in the back yard to help them get ready for next year's Baseball season. I went out and picked up school supplies and Chinese for 2. The boys didn't want any at all. ha! Hubie studied for his current online course but we were sitting at the same table.. 17yrs later. :)

And Mini Boy had a great season of T-ball and we will definitely move him on to "learn to play" baseball next summer. He's my most social boy. I LOVES and Misses all his school yard pals. Again working parents...How ever will we take over the Tri-provincial Area without help from the locals.

This summer was a huge growing/maturing year for the boys in that I could leave 2-3 of them at home for an hour or 2.  They also had texting abilities from their hand held devices (No Cells yet) so they could get a hold of my hubbie and I while I was out delivering Avon, or finding new customers. PS. want to sign up to sell avon. Think $ and Cents?

In other Randomness, what's up with all the schoool supplies? 2 boys in middle School? and after going through what we already owned? I'm out 260.00 without clothes! well maybe there was about 45.00 of clothes, pepsi, and gum for my purse.

I understand the school supplies. I bought the pre-done, just order and everything's there kit! Well, no, actually, you still have to go out and buy four things. Which would have been nice to know before the day before school starts! Grr.

The kids are so gonna whine when the school computer/wii playing times go into effect tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to that....

Holy cow! $260.00 for school supplies? Crazy! I guess I should quit complaining about the exorbitant school taxes we pay that covers a majority of the school supplies.

Sounds like you had quite the busy summer!

Happy Anniversary! Sounds like the way the hubby and I 'celebrate' ours. ;)

I know I was with my niece when she was buying supplies for just one of her children. Seems like they are supplying the whole school now! Way to go on the 20 pounds. Happy Anniversary!
