The chair

So I had some new friends and some new followers come into my reading audience. (waves to those not commenting but reading). Happy Winter. Yep it's Winter. That's what it is here in Canada. There isn't a lot I want to do in the winter other than sliding with my kids on the front lawn. I used to take them outdoor skating but seriously? -25 to -40C doesn't really bring on the warm fuzzies when you're freezing your butts off, or your feet. Skates? they aren't lined. Why didn't someone think to line skates? Could you imagine how much warmer and cushiony on the ankles skates would be if they were padded inside?  (hmmmmm I wonder if Avon can start selling their cushion walk in side skates, ohhhhhhhh wait, I did buy toe gels and heal gel inserts, for sandals, I'll bet they might work) <-- sorry tangent.

So this is the little blurb I wrote on FB (for those that don't know I blog...cause not everyone needs to know everything, I need a tiny corner, if you found me on twitter and then found me here? sh!, Also Kooky?we need to work on our connection again) OK where was I?

Blurb....

The Chair

I've had some new friends come to visit me over the last year and the questions are the same. Why the chair.  The Chair started in the Early 2009. It was winter and Winter in NB  is very different from Winter in Cape Breton. Cape Breton now seems to be the Vancouver of the East Coast; it snows sure but it melts or rains more.  I took a picture of the patio door, for my family, to explain the snowyness while they were complaining about their 30cm.

We couldn't see all the way out. I got a call to go in for surgery March 11th. I used to just send the pictures to family through email or to my email groups (Mommy groups from when I was expecting the boys, waves to the Moms) So during the time I was recovering from Hernia Surgery I took more pictures. The Chair vanished and more and more pictures were taken and then it changed to the melting of the snow and the slow creep in of spring. The following winter people asked about the chair. Yep it was out there again. So I'm not crazy people do ask me about this chair. It's entertainment I guess, during those times of winter when I'd rather be at the beach.
The Winter of 2006 my back yard looked like this...

Rinkingit.

I didn't make the rink again, there was just too much snow! I remember looking out the window from MJ's room though and seeing the chair. It looked so abandon.
The First snow pic... 2009

I'm sure all my friends have come to realize I spend a lot of time online. (wink) So My chair pictures are just my way of Sharing my winter with my friends.

I get jealous when your chair disappears. I love to get snow like that here--no one else would but I'd love it.
