So Much Packed into 5 Years

Today, is the day that my baby is 5. I can't believe he's 5. Where have the last 5yrs gone? He's been counting down the days since 17 days ago. It was so much fun to wake up to 15more days, 13more days, as he got more excited and more excited. We went out to eat lastnight as a family. The boys enjoyed it as it's a very rare event for us. We try to keep those little extras as little extras. MJ wanted to go to Jungle Jim's so off we went. It's an Safari themed Restaurant, he wanted to go tonight but it's one of those go go go nights. TJ has Judo and there are a few rewards for being there every week, so MJ was perfectly happy to move his night out to the day before.
What is going on with mr 5? Well he's getting taller, he's slowly moving out of the 3X and 4-5T size pants, he's got short legs still but he's moving up. He'll catch up pretty fast I'm sure in this next year. I should measure him,... (excuse me...) 41inches, I got to reuse AJ's line from wayyyyy back. I have all their heights written on the door but it's a bit messy, I can totally see myself painting that over some day.
He's adventurous, there is nothing his older brother's do that he doesn't want to try, he's game! He understands curling of all things. I can't figure out if that's from watching the Olympics, or playing Olympics on the wii?
He has the most incredibly sweet laugh.
He's oh so very innocent but observant. On our way to the restaurant, we accidently splashed someone standing by the side of the road. The man gave us a "wave" so to speak. MJ "that man was counting cars, he counted 1 car"
Which man?
"The man beside the car by the bench, he had a shave on his face, like Santa's Shave."
"oh I think he was waving, and he had a beard"
So at 4 it was a Shave, now that he's 5, it's a beard.
5! I'm really starting to love 5, but I loved 4, 3, 2, 1 and 5yrs ago just as much. My Boy rocks!
Oh I did bake him a cake! yes I did. I'll take a picture before it all vanishes. It's definitely better then last year's Mickey Mouse looks like a ardvark Three growing boys can certainly inhale a lot of cake!

Random Tuesday Thoughts, Bananas yummy!

I suspect it's the time of year but I'm so very tired. I've been working out every night and that gives me a bit of energy just before bed and then I get sucked into reading. There has to be a better way to energize? I can't go back to coffee but it's tempting.

click, link up over there and joint the random by Keely.
randomtuesdaySnow, nope we only got about 5cm of the white stuff from that big storm that came up the east coast of the  USA. Today it's melting. YAY! for melting, I'm sure there will be plenty of snow in March though.

Anyone all ready for the Olympics? I so wish that CTV gave out better reception here, then I could actually "watch" them. oh well I'll hear the news on the radio in the morning, not half as exciting though.  Hubbie strained his eyes to watch the SuperBowl, I wouldn't trust our TV to help with any of the calls, "was that on the line over there??? or wayyyy waitttttttt over there? wait where is the line?"

Wow my kids love that wiifitplus more then I do, I have to actually wrestle it away from them. New RULE Mom's minutes come first. (as I sit here and MJ does his island view bike run, he loves the dogs)

Anyone got plans for Valentine's? we have none here that I know of. I'm not making any plans, but really is it "my" job to make plans? well I guess I could bake him some low cal brownies. hehehee now to find a recipe for lowcal brownies. Anyone?

The kids are having a party at school. AJ's class is doing ice cream sundays, we're supplying the candy to top it, I'm kind of disappointed, I wish they had used

things I never thought I'd have to say... "well hold on to it" in reply to doodle issues "Mommmmmmmmmmm my doodle always goes up when I point it down", the older two didn't mention this mechanical issue? Will have to confer with the oldest male of the house, since it's not in my skillset.

I found some pictures of AJ this week from when he was in K, picking apples. He looked so young but I don't remember him being "that" young when going to school, and he was younger then MJ is now. MJ wont go until September but I look at him and still see "baby".  I'm not ready.

We went for Groceries (fruit and veggies+) and the parking lot was still snow covered, very difficult to push a cart across but yet MJ was a great help. We got the job done. What will I do when he's at school next winter? Who will help me push the carts! who will remind me of what's on the list and what we forgot to put on the list.  I want my preschool years back;all 3 boys worth!

Speaking of MJ we'll be counting down the days to his birthday now, I told him 17days yesterday, today he said "how many days" I said 16, but I think he'll have a better grasp of the numbers once we get to 10-0 count down. He hasn't told me what he wants yet. I wanted to get him something but it's got to be ordered and I didn't get that done yet. I may need to move that item to Mr E Bunny's work and find something else. He did mention he wanted  a Furby? Do they still exist? We just very sneakily threw out the last one (from the 90's before we even had kids....because it wouldn't DO anything. We never got it to learn to talk. bummer!

Toilet Paper, how much toilet paper does a tiny butt need? I really wouldn't know I've never had a tiny butt.

Bowling training has begun for the end of season tournament. My Hubbie is coaching again this year, he's got 4 boys every Monday night. TJ must get his homework done first though or I the "bad cop" has to pull him!

We now need to buy a sympol for TJ too, that boy is expensive, he's moved on from simple Snare, so more $$. Ok I've rambled and I Guess you're now up to date on all the boys stuffs.  Oh I lost.8k this week, YAY!

Banana muffins (loaf in muffin tins) are very hard to resist, but there are 5 left. I've had 2, boys took one each for lunch, MJ had 1 and so that means hubbie had 2? Must not eat the rest, must not eat the rest.... oh they are good.

3 mash bananas,
2 eggs (or 1 +2whites)
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup margerine/butter (soft)
2/3 cup sugar (splenda does work, but I didn't)
1 2/3 flour (I've used 1/3 of that whole wheat, yummy)
1tsp baking soda,
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2tsp salt

Bake 350 as a loaf for 1hourish, as muffins? 24minutes. :)
