Time to ask my Readers

I'm not selling you anything, but Hubbie and I are thinking of getting a new car. His? well it's on it's last legs. It's got a good engine, brakes and so on but it's rusting, it's one of those "drive it until it dies" purchases .It's still not dead, but it's not going to make it another year. I dont' want this happening you know?

So What do you all drive? Why do you like it nor not like it?
Help?

Well, I don't drive, but the hubby has an 11 year old Ford Contour, that he absolutely loves. It's low miles and rust free, and we're keeping it forever.

Ford doesn't make them anymore, but the new Ford Flex is awesome.

My big suggestion is getting Krown Rust Control done every year, it's what's kept our car in sucj good shape!!!

I currently drive a Toyota minivan. I have loved it, and it has served it's purpose, but I'll also be in the market for a new one soon. I'll be looking to downsize to a sedan of some kind. Check out my Ford posts-I'll definitely be looking at one of those. I was really impressed with what they've done to improve their image, quality, safety and technology.

We have a Jeep Patriot. We bought it last year. We only have the 2 kids and it's kind of small. I really liked it at first and now I think it's shrinking. I want a Tahoe now but I have to pay this damn thing off first! Did that help? LOL!

I have an '09 Ford Escape and B has an '08 Suzuki SX4 Crossover. We love them both although my 4 cyl escape gets better gas mileage than his sx4. Neither would be goo for more than 1-2 children though as they are smaller. FOr our lifestyle though, they are awesome.

Yes Space is a huge part of our hunt. We "drag" a lot of stuff along. I couldn't imagine if I had hockey players!

I drive a minivan - Honda Odyssey. I love it for comfort, reliability, gas mileage (not fantastic but not awful), handling, and space. BUT, we only have 2 kids, so on road trips we put the back row down and pack all sorts of stuff in. With the back row up for the 3rd kid, not so much space in the back. Maybe a big old truck/SUV?

Dodge Caravan. SUCKS!!! I don't know how tall your husband is, but I'm 6'2 and my head hits the corner between the door and roof every time we hit a bump. WTH? It's a North American car and I am by no means taller than average. Not to mention everything that goes wrong with it constantly. Why did we bail out the auto industry? Buy Japanese.

WE currently have 2 minivans. We aren't very tall people. The van we are replacing with "something" is a 91!

1991 Toyota Tercel 5-speed... LOVE IT!!!

I can't drive a 5-speed. I tried to learn 3 times with 3 different teachers, and still I couldn't keep all my thoughts moving at once. 1991 seems to have been a good year for cars though, since it's only falling apart now?

I'm late to the party, sorry. I drive a Mazda 5. It's tiny and not technically a minivan but it has sliding doors. It works great for us but I'm not sure it would for you since you've got one more kid than we do.

Since my kids are grown I'v had a Mini Cooper. Loved it so much that I got a new one last year. So I have been driving Mini's for six years now! Best car I have ever had.
