Random Tuesday, a little bit of this a little moreof that

randomtuesday

If you're new go on over to Keely's and get yourself a button,

It's Tuesday again, I could do without a Tuesday this week I want to redo that weekend, the part where I get to sleep in. Oh wait I don't actually get to do that!

No dentist this week. We are saved from forking over $ until the next visit.

A white sink? Why would people, install a white kitchen sink in a house with hard water? That sink is never white. I can't use bleach on it because of the septic so it's never ever white.

Yesterday's homework, "This is the last week of homework for the year" well I HAD to comment. "YAY!" Then I looked at it and though, wow, I'm so used to commenting on so many things that I"m even now commenting on the homework. I still can't believe we're down to the last 3wks and 3days of school.

We took the boys to the beach again last night. Way colder then Sunday. The wind was high, it seems these are the things that bother mom's but not boys, they ran the played and everyone slept like a ROCK!

So how long do kids usually suck their thumbs? when can I expect that little habits to go away?I'm trying not to hound him but I am reminding him that kids don't suck their thumbs in school. School isn't until 2010, maybe I've set the deadline too far away? the other two only sucked their thumbs until they were about 5months old.

Blankets, how long do kids have a favorite blanket? Apparently the "pillies" is the part he likes to rub his hand on while falling asleep. "Mom it's on wrong there are no bumps"? I turned it around of course, because this results in Quieter nights.

So why is it that a little boy can look so cute and innocent and then he says things like but be all "Fresh 4's within a second"?

Sun all day long today. Yay, they said it's a bit chilly but it's supposed t go up to 18C. The boys do not want to wear their jackets. "Too cool" oh you're too Cool all right, your going to be COLD! I have one that wakes up and wants to be all cozy in footie PJs and doesn't want to change into his day time clothes because they are cold, and then next thing he doesn't want to wear his jacket? I will never understand 7yrolds. I've got one more try though, it's coming.

The bus just left so 2 down 1 to go. Now we play, wonder what we'll do today. I think maybe a trip to the grocery store for TP... oh boy! field trip!

I think my cousin sucked her thumb until she was 11. It was crazy. I hate summer, what do I do with my children?!

I've had so much "winter" that I love summer, well the idea of summer right up until I LOSE my mind and going heading for the Island, as it's cooler there. :)
The blanket thing has be a bit concerned because it's a twinsized Summer comforter! he even has 5 animals he bundles up in it to carry from the bedroom to the livingroom for morning TV time. We just got in from our walk around the neighbourhood, The ditch is drying up so there's no fish or frogs to watch

A little bleach in the sink won't hurt the septic as long as you don't use it often. I use a little for my white sink and we've not had any problems with our septic.

7 year olds. I don't get them either!

Now he's reading for homework so we can send the book back a day early, if it goes back early, no more reading homework, he's done the math for the year, and that's it!! :)

You sound like me with your grocery store field trip. Ours are always to the grocery store or Target and we spend way too much money just trying to kill time.

Not sure about the thumb sucking or the blankets, my kids are weird and never wanted either. I keep expecting them to get attached to something but they just haven't, unless you count my leg which they're constantly clinging to and trying to scale.

Yay for no dentist. I'll be at mine bright and early tomorrow for yet another filling.

We're down to the last eleven days before summer vacation. I'm so not ready.

My niece is still sucking her thumb at 5, occasionally my sister will bribe her but it's a temporary fix, whenever she's not looking that thumb goes right back where it belongs.

Happy RTT.

I don't know about the thumb thing but I know about the pacifiers. My last two had theirs until they were 3 -- Aden was my hardest! You reminded me I need to make another Dent. appt. for Ariel to have those 2 baby teeth pulled. Have fun with your little one today. TFS

The first two were more addicted to the breast then the thumbs, but I guess with #3 because I was at 3 I was letting him self sooth longer and the thumb is what sooths? I'm not sure.
AJ needs a tooth pulled and a spacer put in and today we got a bill for the seals for MJ that weren't covered. If I knew they weren't covered, I wouldn't have had them done~! (bangs head on keyboard)

We have a now naked Abu from Aladdin that goes everywhere w/ Frinken that's a blanket equivalent. I would love to hear advice as to separating the two of them!! His nose is ripped and he's slightly creepy to look at!! At least a boy and his blankey is a cute sight!!!

The animals are harder, we have one that has a bunny. One has Stuffed bowling pins, and dozens of those little"dogs" and then MJ has 3 dogs, Pluto and a Mickey Mouse. These are all in the beds. They are not allowed to leave the house unless we are sleeping over at Grandma's. I don't know when the Bunny will stop coming to Grandma's.

I'd sure like to know the answer to the thumb sucking, too - Princess Nagger is 6 and still sucks her thumb...I tried to get her to stop before she started kindergarten, but she responds with 'But it soothes me!' She does tell me, though, that when she loses her two front teeth that she'll probably stop sucking her thumb...because she won't have any teeth to prop it up against... :) The dentist said there's a guard we can get to prevent her thumb sucking, but insurance doesn't cover it and it's priced at $400. Nope, I think I'll wait and see if what she predicts will actually happen when she loses her two front teeth in a year or two... ;)

Happy RTT a day late! :)

Ah, thumb sucking. I have no ideas at all. At least ones that might work.

However I love the whole idea of re-doing weekends! :D
