In other news MJ and I planted some Potato eyes, these are our results. YAY! they are staring to sprout. I had almost given up hope. I think I'm more excited then he is... shhhh!
Or it's a dandelion that entered our raised planter box. My Dad told me over the phone that after this gets high enough, we can cover it up and grow it up more. hehe We'll see.
This is a flower I found yesterday in the woods between my house and my neighbours. I have no idea what it is. so I took some weeds out of the way and let it grow! :) anyone got any ideas?

is it a lady slipper?
I see what Carolyn said. It is very pretty. You planted potatoe eyes, really?
My husband is trying to grow tomatoes from seeds, without much uck, However, his green beans are doing great. Good luck with the potatoes!
Not sure but it's very pretty! Could it be a snowdrop?
Yes I think Carolyn is right. I went and great googly mooglied and found a picture similar to this. It said it grows in marshy rich soil in the woods. And between mine and neighbours is a strip of about 6' by Many long! and so it's a bit of a forest. This is smack dab in the middle.
And for my bonus, I looked out lastnight and saw 2 deer heading that way, so maybe they ate them elsewhere? and "dropped" the seeds there last fall? They are a wild flower and possibly dwindling in numbers do to more houses and people picking them. I'll leave this one there, it's part of the orchid family.
I'm so impressed with your potato sprout! I can't grow anything from seed here - but I'm fairly successful with the starters you can get at a local nursery. How long before you have a potato to harvest?
I think I'm going to have to great googly to find out, I seem to remember my Father saying 90days when we were young? but was it 90days from sprout? 90days from flowers? 90days from eye? ACK!!!
I dunno, but it's sure pretty!
