Random Tuesday "does she still blog?"

Yes I do. I'm home from Vacation from my Vacation and today I managed to find some pics on my camera cards, and Do some Random bloghopping.


It's Random Tuesdsay.
As with most Random Tuesdays in my life there was Dentist stuff going on. My wake up call was from the dentist office today. (pppstt eventually? kids sleep in and it's the phone that wakes you on a summers morning, true story)
I changed the appointment for September. Once the boys are back in school, it's like a Spa treatment for your teeth. (once you get 16 things repaired, replaced and reangled)

So what do I have out of all those pics?

So you all know how much I love my Island? well this is just 1 beach we visited while there.  I took this pic from the parking lot. This beach btw is for sale. True.  The land for the parking is owned by a church, they are selling off assets. So if you want beach front? This is a Lake

We left this beach and went to this beach... River Front beach (use your imagination for a bit)
Darn that beach has a person in it. I'll have to hijack someone else's camera card and get a better pic. Hubbie's phone might have something braver. :P

After that beach I(same day) took the kids and hubbie to the Ocean Beach. See on my island? the choices are endless. Three Beaches in 1 day? sure we can.


While on vacation it rained about 60% of the days, so one night at the cottage? I made s'mores... in the oven! yep, too wet for a fire,  too mosquitoey for being out in the evening after the rainfall so oven it was.

I wish I had taken a picture? next year...

I also had my High School Reunion on the last weekend on the island. We had a graduating class of 103, in the 105h year of the schools being, out of a potential 115 grads.  14 ladies showed up 20yrs later to converse, play with our kids and study the island wildlife.

This is the look off from Route 4 on my Island. Largest Salt Water Lakes in the world that I know of...  If you read Friday Fill-ins on Friday the 5th? Go visit it's beautiful.   I know it's not very "random"' but when you pack 3 boys in a van for a 12 day visit to an island? it's Random. If your husband shows up on his own 4 days into the visit cause he missed you all? then it's really gets random.

I got a Direct Message today from Codie about his newest release. I want to share! So Randomly I chose today to share with you all.  It's the voice that keeps me listening.






So What else is Random this week, well it's not dentist Day, it's Eye Doctor Day. I guess Tuesday are just a bit easier to fit into the schedule for these things of things.


Boys are good, school is good. Chair is trying hard to untrap itself from the back yard. Snow is melting. Neighbourhood smells all Maple Syrup and Springy. I think a neighbour may have cut down a tree? and the sap is running? Or he tapped it? I was craving pancakes after bringing Mr 6 up from the bus stop.

Driving is easier, it will almost be time to take the snow tires off. YAY! Easter away isn't going to happen this year. I wont make it to the island this spring. :( Bummed! I haven't been there since August. It may sound like it's just another trip but to a Islander it's hard. We gravitate home like no other region I know of. The music, the food, the people, the beers, the kitchen parties, the meals, the laughs. You've seen the photos before it's beautiful there.

Random Iced up Bedroom Window

Yes first things first.

yeah click on that get a button of your own and randomize. I think I"ve been doing this now for almost 2yrs? so maybe it's time for me to stop giving directions? I guess though the directions like a middle school writing project, results in more words on the page? So yeah ok read the words.

Speaking of Middle school. Did you know that if you have a "quiz" it's really a test but the teachers are trying not to give you test jitters.

I met MJ at the rink today, they were skating with their class, they did ok with it really. I was impressed how some 5-6yrolds can really move their butts! I'm not a very good Canadian Hockey Mom, I didn't enroll my kids in Hockey ever... (hangs head in shame)I did though watch a football Game Sunday (and 1/2 of another) with my American boys... so maybe that's progress? or maybe not.

Saturday we had a lot of snow down and I looked out and my lawn seemed to be a "Boys only Zone" two Dad's 3 of my boys, 1 older neighbour boy, and the other Dad's Son?" and only -18C so I said uh "I'll stay in and clean house, you'vegot the boys zone covered" hahah And hid in my flannel pjs with tea and toast.

The toast monster is at it again. It' keeps jumping in my mouth causing all kinds of winter insulation (read=fat) It's hard to walk when you are hiding from the winter cold! -32 today at outside the rink,which made -4C in side the rink feel almost warm. (for those keeping score -40C and -40F are the same!!) In my worse French ever "Tres F**king Brrrrrrrrr" :)

I think the University Rink's website has a virus, I got all kinds of warnings this morning. I guess if something happens today with all my avon orders and blogs and games then Linux will have caught a winter bug? for a change. That reminds me I NEED more tea, it's COLD in here.

Random Tuesday, school, baking, oh look weightloss

The hubbie has been jogging, both indoors and out. Indoors he's using the wiifitplus and the EA sports Active. I'm impressed with his efforts. I don't have that kind of confidence for the outdoor running. I've got to get my wii on today. I didn't get any done yesterday. how is it that a day of staying home? speeds by?

Well I didn't actually stay home the whole day. I went to pick up a package across town, stopped at the dental office, the post office and the grocerystore. I then got home, did some dishes, and laundry waited for boys to get off the bus. Forgot that middle boy had Judo, but he didn't so he didn't come home. It was -19C yesterday morning and -21C this morning brrrrrr! I got the homework nagged but no one moved. heheh so I made chicken pot pie from allrecipes site here ...  Chicken Pot Pie IX 
Some boys ate it all, some boys picked off the crust and one boy tried to negotiate PBand J after 1 bite.  It needed a bit of salt because I used salt free butter for the onions, and forgot to put the salt in the sauce. oops!

My friend with the cat that didn't seem to thin I should be stealing her poop? Gave me a bunt pan as a thank you for watching her cat. I'm kind of shocked, I didn't need anything that's just what friends do? I didn't say "no" I didn't want ot be rude. LOL

I've been walking again, aiming for 5nights a week, down 3lbs. (long way to go from here) I am also trying to not kill myself with that EA Sports Active. HOLY Squats batman.  Crazy. Will do it today.

I baked muffins today, chocolate chip. Unfortunately they are very good, and I've had 2. (they were the smallest ones in the pan)

I got a mug in the mail last week. I went over to visit Growing towards a Dream  and she just happened to be having a Vlog and give away that day. I watched (she's great in the video, confident you know) and commented. My comment got me entry #8.  Also she's in Canada so it only cost her 1 arm and leg to send it here vs US to Canada rates for all the rest of my bloggy friends contests.

Hubbie took the boys sliding this weekend. I didn't go, I was roasting chickens. The boys had a pretty good time. The battery though on the Camcorder gave out so there is no footage, I'll have to just get you to review footage from 2008? (I think)



I hope that code works again. It's from Feb 2009 actually. Brain doesn't always work when it comes to remember which days I post what, you know 2yrs ago.

Talked to my Sister today, my nephew who is almost 10months old has been working on taking his first steps. ACK!! She's comand crawling still. I think he's got a future in the army? She put me on Speaker phone and I'd say his name and he'd sigh you know that baby sigh then I'd laugh at the sign and he'd get out his big belly laugh. I'm so proud to be the auntie! Can you tell?

My boys are growing like weeds? I wish there was a way to stop all this growing up. (accept when they areacting their age and driving each other batty)


also for those waiting for Chair status... if there is such a thing.. and also there's more snow/rain mix coming tonight. This is good because then the -21C turns to only -2C you know about 30-upper 20'sF-ish

Random Tuesday, Yippee.. I mean I miss them

So I've got my cable back did I tell you? yeah I did ant well today I didn't even turn the thing on until I needed to know the weather. YAY! no addicted. Computer is still on YAY!

I can't even think of all the random that was in my head all weekend. You knwo those "oh must save that for Random Tuesday"

So I got on the wii again, the wii and I are not agreeing on just how much weight I gained. Yes I know it can't be "that" bad but it is! I'm working on it again. Real food back again. I had gone way off the plan there for the fall, but you and I all know that spring and shorts and bathingsuits are coming. SCARY

AJ had curling this past weekend, they moved him up to whole sheet. YAY! I guess the kid are behind the sound proof glass (or the parnets depending which way you are looking) and hubbie was up in the watching area, the coach started pointing to AJ, then to the Full Sheet and then to hubbie and next thing you know everyone is going Thumbs up! I didn't see this of course this is all second hand stories.

ohhhhh whole wheat pita pizza is done... yummy!


boom Boob Clap, oh now it makes snse why my kids are always boom boom clapping, it's government funded "get moving" thingy. cool! Now if the could work on boob boob clap I bet more people would interested?

OH I finally got a calendar, only what? almost 2 weeks into the year. I used to have the ForBetterorForWorse Calandars but didn't see them this year. retirement I hear.

Garbage Day is way less easy when your hubbie is on a business trip.  He should be home tonight. I'm hoping that storm coming up the coast doesn't catch him.

Random Tuesday Thoughts New Week New year

so I'm going to milk that whole new year thing for a bit longer, atleast until February.Random not but if you want more Random clickity click over to the unmom and get a badge...


I never really realize I'm using a run on sentence until I start blah blah blahing away and no one remembers what exactly I was talking about in the first place. I know what I mean but I'm sure others are getting very lost and then can't find their way back. I'll find me an English book somewhere to work on this. I'm sure I took English writing at some point inmy highschool/university/college life? Didn't I?

Well it's ended, the cable is back in the house. The boys are now zombies to the warm glow of the TV in the livingroom. That's the end of my wii time I'm sure, but I wonder I jsut wonder will it help the homework woos? (is that how you spell that?)
I have one son that hates doing homework well 2 that hate it and one that likes it because it's new and exciting. The oldest doesn't have a lot of friends or a lot to talk about, maybe with TV he'll be in the current loop as to what's going on in the world of real or TV dramas or cartoons? Teletoon here we come (that's almost cartoon network for you Americans, but Canadian Content)

So due to this TV thing, and my lack of working internet to listen and chat at blogtalk radio lastnight, I was up until 2am watching TV!. you know I totally should have been using that kid free time to say work out on the wii but again TV , real TV reception. (run on right? didn't see it coming, it ran on over)  I've heard people say Hoarders in their blog posts. OH DEAR GOD!!! it's a train wreck you can't keep  your eyes off and it's also a learning experience. I was totally able to point out all of hubbie's unnecessary collections. I also had a strike of fear when I saw a house with Avon boxes. This So can't be good for the avon name. ugh!  So next week when the boys are in school heheehe I'll go in and clear out 1 bedroom at a time. Anyone need puzzles for 1-2yrolds? cause well I've got the puzzles but no 1or 2yrolds. Anyone?? no. There may be pieces missing.


I wonder if this is also part of why Santa brought that mop? oh boy. The tree is still up but that's because it's Still Christmas in my house until the 6th.  @ more days and the demolishion will begin. I did take down some of the Christmas cards I got. Must make a master list for next year today,

Oh speaking of the new year, yes it's up there in the title, I got a MOM calandar on sale from avon.ca yep! it's on the way to my house By Monday. It one of those Mom organizational calandars. YAY I might get organized.

Also must find shredder.  Also must some how figure out how to remove the "artwork" the boys have made, anyone got tips on how to "save"but not?

Random Tuesday Thoughts, STill Christmas

We are still here celebrating our Christmas holidays. What? you don't like my new PJ's. I guess I should get some real clothes on? but really why? no one ever comes to visit us. Well you all do. Go on over and get a button and join in on the Random thoughts.

BTW I seriously wish the boys playing the wii would not mess with my wired connection. No excuse, they aren't even playing an online game.

SO Santa found my house and was very good to me, seems I didn't make the naughty list. YA! I got EA sports Active 2! GO ME! so I'll be trying that out soon. still new in box at the moment. hehe  The family got mario Galaxy from the inlaws. SCORE! they are playing that now and messing with my internet connections.... "you are off line" NOT!

I'm still cat sitting. I didn't get to the clearing of the neighbours drive way but someone did. I feel like poo of course because we were going to do it. I don't know who did but there will be rocks all over their lawn I'm sure. Again I feel like poo...

Her cat wrote her an email last week... let me find it...


"That woman was here again, in the house and this time? Mommy! She stole
my poop! She took it all everything and I think she put it in Daddy's
garage. So now there's more water in my dish and more food in my dish.
She stole the oranges too!!! that whole bowl of tiny oranges I was
guarding? gone! then it got stranger Mommy, she started walking around
outside. She tried to decorate the planters in the front door way,(I
know they must have blown over in all that wind and Rain Monday night)
and there were foot steps everywhere. Mommy, she tired to put an orange
flip flop in the flower holders by the front door. I sat at the door and
just watched this because this is totally crazy Mommy. Are you sure you
left me with the right person? So the flip flop is not in the flowers
now and there are more footprints in the snow all over the place and you
would think she was born yesterday because THEN, yes only then did she
see the bag tied to the front door. She stole that too Mommy. I don't
know why she took it, (when you will get that back), it was jingling, it
sounded like gold bells. It might have been shinny but she didn't show
me and I was on the other side of the door.
So off she went and the last thing she stole? the newspaper and flyers?
I was going to look at those you know mommy I wanted to get you
something for Christmas but she took them.
I'll keep watching the house mommy, it's warm inside up here, probably
not as warm as where you are with A... and Daddy but I guess it will
do.
What do you think she's going to do when she comes for her next visit? "


I couldn't not share. LOL Seriously the cat was eyeballing me when I was rescuing the flowerholders from the front door way.



There goes the connection again. So what else did I get?? oh a Mop! yes I know exactly where my "place" is when I get a MOP for Christmas.... (roll eyes, yes I asked for it, yes it's a new appliance but not a mop on a stick hehhe steamer type mop, still scared to turn it on for fear I'll break it.)


We shoveled 2 driveways lastnight, and I'm sure there will be more before the new year. Why yes that was me in my pjs shoveling, I had my boots and coat on, you weren't susposed to be eying my tinkerbells so closely. What? you don't shovel in your pjs? What is wrong with everyone...  (glitter everywhere)

Mr5 had a bad cold, holy phlegm batman! but he got it all up! really impressive, good muscles there boy...

Does anyone need any sweets? I baked, I sent out baking still no visitors... hmmmm maybe I should have gone to the island and brought my baking with me?

Turkey? yes we have turkey, 15.88lbs of Turkey were cooked for 2 adults and 3 children. 2/3 children turned their nose up in the air and ate Stocking candy instead or asked for PB toast. I refuse to cook anything but turkey because eventually they will like it. I did.

Stuffing/dressing really, turned out great. I put it in a casserole dish in the oven while I made the gravy. Yummy!

11yrolds think they are too cool for winter wear. HA! he's going to get the garbage cans now. YIKES that reminds me I should have put out the neighbours bin lastnight. MORE neighbour fail. :(

OK again what did I get? Slippers! 2 pair, gift cards for my favorite store. The parents got a new camera!Yay!

Oh Mr9 got Charades. I can't wait to play that! it's the travel version. Oh I bought myself a ring from Avon. I guess being a rep has some perks.

There was homework involved in that clicking did you see? now we have to send Christmas baking. I do hope that Canada Post doesn't eat what I sent. I'm sure they will.

Did you write your Santa Letter? yeah it's a Canadian thing cause well we're Canada We OWN the North Pole. Yep I've got Proof.  Santa has a Canadian Postal Code. H0H 0H0. yep, it's true, I read it on the internet and before that in the news papers and heard it on the radio and my mom told me.

Don't listen to that Julie! she was telling some outlandish stories lastnight about Tinkerbell, Glitter, Santa, missing Bunnies and the toothfairy! DO not believe her, because Believe=Better presents!!

Speaking of Believe, I Believe I have to sell more Avon in 2011. Canadian Customers only.. ugh! I also Believe I'm going ot have to fork out $ for my own Avon Website. ugh! The thing about being self employed? you have to self fund.

Boys last week of school. At first I figured they were getting less Christmas but you know it's better this way because Christmas comes The Eve and Day, and I get more stuff done.

Baking some done, fudge? MIA! I'm pretty sure though my assets are bigger. But maybe not, I've been so go go go, I've not been eating as much, picking really, and my pants I bought first of the month, are a bit high waisted now.

Bummed a bit, some friends are visiting the island this Christmas. I wont get to see them because it's my year off from the island. It's much less rushy here. I've had 1 Holiday visitor so far, my cousin came to visit last week. We had ourselves a beer  and chatting. The boys were entertaining. How many boys does it take to test Christmas lights? 3! Two to start it, and 1 oldest to come in and boss them around while the youngest gives up on the light and resorts to tacky Flashy thingys... this needs a pick, hang on the great Googly might help...
ACK! not even on great googly... I don't even know what they are called.

If you are a child of the 60-70-90s I'm sure you've seen them.

I just randomly left and wrapped a few things. now I have to go buy more to wrap. ugh! what's fun for a under 40yrold man? cause I'm stumped.  I get so stuck on "useful" hahah.

I can't be the only person not finished right?

not to find the tape again and the pens, ugh! Darn elves never print the same...

Today I got mail. Yep! And it wasn't a BILL!

Bill gets a lot of mail here but now it's Christmas cards and packages from friends. YAY!

Avon came today, it's been a run around the world kind of day.  Must get some returns processed and some products charged since they arrived but weren't what I ordered. oops!

No Snow today, it was 10C today, so about 50F for you who don't read C.

The Abandon chair doesn't look so abandon, I didn't take pictures but it looked more like a pool party out there.  I'm getting new neighbours so the lot behind us is causing some water to move into places that it doesn't usually live. ick!

We lost power lastnight but Thank you power supplies for keeping me online so I could listen Momspectives Blogtalk radioshow.  (yikes she's already in Wednesday even though it's Tuesday in her world. I'm so behind)

Boys had the day off today, wayyyyyyyy too much rain. Roads were washed out, people without power. We went for a drive as a family.  My hubbie is having his eyes tested. I'll bet you thought I was going to say teeth? He's got to get his prescriptions changed and exercise his eyeballs.


Snow? Remember when it used to snow in December? yeah I did last week, not this week.

Tonight I moved furniture. I think I have the tree location cleared out completely. Now to get the Tree out of it's box!

Random Tuesday Thoughts Boys, TV,no TV,Somedays....

Yep it's Tuesday, the boys are watching some old Simpson's DVDs because we don't have TV? I'm a bit nervous that the youngest one will get some ideas? but he's been to school, and that place has already taught him more words than a week away at camp.


Well atleast I'm amused and it's not mindless Preschool TV.

Anyone else ready for Christmas? I did take out some Christmas Candles last week when putting away some Halloween ones and I think getting the tree up before December might happen now that the boys are all in school. I can even do it MY way? maybe.


I've been feeding my neighbours cats this week, the minute I come in the house? they all DART for the cat doors. Only one stays or comes back in when they hear the food dish being filled.

I think I may be coming down from the Halloween Sugar surge. It's a slow process. I think this calls for more protein in the house.

Hummus can be addictive. Hummus plus Nachos more addictive.

I think the boys are going to fall asleep before supper, this fall back stuff is not so great for the internal clock. Mr5 has a cold, Mr9 missed school today for a headache and stomach ache and he broke his glasses. I need to make a new appointment for a Check up and maybe new prescription? they look tiny on his face. Who said the kids could grow?

Found out this week my land does actually have a limit, I don't own ALL the trees, Darn! Plus side I don't own the bears space either. Well the space where he walked through the yard yes, but not far behind the lazy fence.


This Random really isn't much this week. I guess I'll have to do something interesting next week?

One Hour of me time left to my Random Tuesday thoughts

well look at that after a random october Holiday we have here a Tuesday.

I think I am stuffed from leftovers. oops! I thought everyone liked apple crisp, turns out it's just me and TJ. well apples are healthy right? Tell me it's not all bad there was only 1 cup of brown sugar in that dessert.

We finally threw out our summer inflatable slide and pool. Yep, summer is over.

The boys left with long Johns, mini gloves and winter jackets today. brrrrrr -1C cold mornings.

The sun is now out. I went for a small walk, I should have walked further really.


Today is the last day of my second sale with Avon. It's going ok, it's almost fun.


I wish I had better thing to randomly ramble about.


No snow here, I did hear there was HAIL in NY? I guess I should be happy it wasn't here.


Last week of cross country Running for my mralmost 9. YAY! That's it for standing in the cold on a Wednesday afternoon, or the heat, it could be hot out there the beginning.


It's taking all my will power to do the dishes, laundry and not just eat my way through all the Thanksgiving leftover. There was turkey, and stuffing, and potatoes too. Im not going to discuss why it says "was".


I should get back to the weight watching more seriously, I did go walking lastnight, that helps.

The tomatoes Mr5 planted this summer are done, we threw the dirt and dead plant over the fence into the bck woods. Job's Done. We also harvested 1 average size potato, but the boys cracked it in two. I told them to put it back in teh ground, maybe if it doesn't rot and freeze first it will come back next year.


Also one of the older boys had to do a project about himself, he made this to represent some of what is "him"since he's got that born to be president or prime minster thing going for him...
I thought maybe he should have added a maple leaf in there? I can't believe it made all those stars.

Random Tuesday Melting

So it's Tuesday and my calandar says it's the 31st of august! in Canada but I feel like it's the 15th of JULY!!! It's susposed to be cooling down not heating up.
I'm melting. The high for yesterday? 33C the High for Today? 33C I couldn't imagine what all those expectant mom's out there are doing in this heat? oh wait they are all probably in A/C or a pool, or Large body of water floating in the cool!! That's where I need to be.

Last night we fed the kids as quick as they could eat and headed off to the River. It was cool and refreshing and just the right temperature. We watched Seagulls invade bags of chips. It must be now ingrained in them what chips are?? or that humans have bags of stuff? one day we left a closed seal bag on a bench? they attacked it!

I'm dreaming of this...

I want this weather today, or maybe just half?

Easter is coming I'm sure of it!


Christmas first I guess. wow you know it's only 4months nad 1 week until Christmas. ACK! I'm going to have to work harder on that undetectable Bank robbery. 


Today I went out to lunch with hubbie, and 2/3 boys and a friend from the Island. It was a nice meeting. This friend went to school with the hubbie and I think I may have met him else where I just haven't figure that out yet. 

The boys were great! we left one boy at day camp though. He's loving his camp. It's all ooey Gooey Science themed. 


how do you stop a 5yrold from sucking his thumb? 




While out getting school supplies lastnight I happened to be in the same row as a child that may end up in TJ's class! how cool is that?  


I find it very amusing that the most friendly people I've met since moving here 7yrs ago? Seem to be either people from the Island, or Province that owns the island or from other provinces in Canada? Why is that? the locals that are original locals, don't seem so friendly. Is it me? Do I smell? 


The weekend was fabulous at the River this year! we went F, S and Sun. The boys loved it.


I'm trying to call home today but no one is there. You would think they were having a life? maybe? 


I plugged myself into Google today well Kyooty Center? I'm there. I guess there's no point to not clicking that monetonize now? 


Zucchini, my neighbour brought me over 1/2 of one! you should see the size of this thing. I'm going to turn it into chocolate Zucchini loaf. We'll see how that goes. I'm using Amanda's Grandma's Recipe from Coming Home for the Holidays.

Random Tuesday Thoughts, Wednesday?

I woke up this morning and thought for sure it was Wednesday, I then saw the garbage in the driveway and the Random Tuesday Blog posts! so it MUST be Tuesday. If you're ever puzzled on a Tuesday, just head over to Keely's and you'll know exactly what day it is, well if it's Tuesday.Yep just clicked it myself, there she is Tuesday!




So of course I'm back from Vacation and you can tell vacation is over for sure... Laundry, yep! dishes, yep, garbage day, Cat is clingy, yep! We're home.

Critter count this Critter Count comes from the Island. The boys were at the cottage and running after bunnies with carrots because Grandpa-da said "if you catch one you can keep it" Well you never saw 5 boys and 1 girl run so fast holding carrots. Then I hear "well the bunny didn't want the carrots so I ate it" AWESOME!!! we have vegetable eating... Go Bunnies.

BBQ's are great, and you know the food taste even better when your brother is doing all the cooking. He did a wonderful job. Yummy! Chicken Burgers, hotdogs, Sausages, steak and I think I even saw some cheese on Sausages? nothing says getting fat like BBQing Every piece of Meat you can find...  Bunny was smart enough to run away from the BBQ.

Cowboy hats! are an awesome investment. I bought one for AJ for a birthday party that was a Cowboy theme, and he's been wearing it ever since. NO sunburns on his face! it's the perfect size.

Chocolate did not make an appearance in my vacation. I know right? what's a vacation without chocolate but well I made up for it in Thick Molasses cookies with cream cheese frosting, Carmel cream cheese dip and granny smith apples, Burgers, island Pizza, and there may have been a huge tray of nachos... I totally should have asked them to box half of that up. oops! TJ did give me a hand with the nachos that were not covered in Jalapenos. hehe

Tea. I did Miss my daily tea, there was tea, but I had a tendency to raid the molasses cookies instead of the tea pot, or the tea needed a partner? oops! I'm expecting a 3lb gane this week for the altar of truth.

Brothers trapped in a car for 7+hours? Can make a lot of noise and annoy the poop out of each other easily! "MOM! he's making a noise." =" Put on your mp3 and headphones and the noise will go away" "MOM! he's kicking my seat" ="so pretend it's a Rollercoaster cause here comes a HILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL" yes the island roads are a bit roller coasterish at times, complete with missing rails also known as pot holes and missing areas of pavement.

Did I mention the Island pizza? yummy!

And The Largest Fiddle in the World? Or so I'm told. There is another large Fiddle not far from my home here but this one is about 3 times bigger I think.
The Fiddle plays a large part in the Musical Culture of the island, as well as the Bagpipes, Guitars, Drums, and I think one night I heard the Harmonica coming from a neighbours Garage.

And what would a night out walking with the wife be? without a picture of her butt? yes this is my Kyooty  and shrinking Butt! :) Never going to trust that man with the camera...

I'll keep hunting up more pictures for another post. There was another Beach in there but we left the camera in the car, but you saw the River last summer right? Yeah you saw that? August I think last year...

Random Tuesday Thoughts, It might get Random in Here!

OK blogger bring me back my plug and play toolbar!!! Why must you continue to "fix" stuff? I'm a very routine person. I like things to stay exactly as they were, leave my stuff I know how to do alone. If someone wants to change things later? Go let them!! I don't care, I'll still read their stuffs. Too many steps make people want to leave!!

I know I'm whining and there are plenty of other things out there in the real world to whine about. Life could be worse, I know it. I've read the blogs and posts from friends, but today? I'm whining abut the little things.


Speaking of little things, remember that post about Summer? and being excited about the kids being home? yeah I'm done. Bring back school!! Two mornings in a row I woke up to "I'm hungry" well Darn it! make toast? pour cereal, raid the fridge, MOM likes sleep! Well yes mom could have gone to bed earlier knowing you were going to be up early, but MOM likes sleep! As long as you all don't burn the house down, and leave us out to the bears? make breakfast.

I think I may have to bake muffins at night, leave them out on the counter and wait for them to "miraculously" find them all by themselves?


The Bear has not been back, no new footage of his meandering through my yard, so I'm going to assume we don't have the right goodies for him to eat out there? please! I'm still walking around the hood. It's relaxing almost to walk with a friend. I will not be going alone though. Maybe if I bring the loud children, I can solve that breakfast problem? hmmmm nah I should keep them forever right? I'd miss them and have nothing to do here and nothing to write about, and have to find a REAL $$ kind of job? (eyes resume still tucked under computer parts)

BTW it was Prom Week in town here last week, check out this ride my friend's Daughter had!!! I smudged due to her not knowing I'm a blogger. shhhhh. :p

why is summer so less go go go for them? not a lot of neighbours home during the week I think. All the other Moms in the neighbour hood are working and taking their kids to daycamps, and day care. Darn!! So no one is home. No one, it's so quiet outside you'd forget it's summer.

Oh the boys did manage to make themselves a lunch on Sunday. I've got a picture, it was almost genius!

I had another "idea" I think I'll try to get TJ to write a post sometime over the summer. He's not enthusiastic as a writer, but you know?Maybe because it's a computer and the evil internet? (shhhhh!) he might go for it. maybe?

He's connecting my photo card now, hey maybe I'll hire him as an assistant?

Have you ever picked up your camera, and uploaded pics only to forget that you took picture of different things? oh the surprises I just found, or maybe the kids took some of these? (car picture found and randomily inserted up there)I'll have a few posts for this week looking at this. oh look the insert photo option is MIA. (bangs head on desk)
YAY! Found it!!

Meals by Kyootycenter! those are mini pita breads, bottled sauce with beef, turkey pepperoni slices, and mozzerella. They toasted them in the toaster oven!

Sunday they baked Peanut Butter cookies, but uh when I got home? the house smelled great, and there were only 6 left. I left them for breakfast naggings on Monday. Sureeeeeeee you can all eat cookies for Breakfast, eat up, zZZZZZZZZZZZ Momma's Zeeing!

So 11wks left now. Whatever will we do?

I got my last news letter for the School year for My Mrnot quite 11. YAY! And that's it for Elementary school for him. His class is going out mini golfing and to a water park to celebrate. I guess that's what all those Swimming lessons from G3-5 were for?

Mr8.5 is totally "done" with homework for G3, there will be no more homework unless it's emptying desks and bringing your crap artwork and filled up scribblers home to Mom.

BTW anyone else going "What's a Scribbler?" like my kids? If you don't know you can't be a Canadian School kid from the 70's?


Critter Count, the deer have been coming by at supper time for a snack, they come buy and walk along the street even like people. The cars even wait for them to cross or walk. I wonder how conciderate these cars would be if the drivers had guns and hunter orange and a licence to shoot them in my yard? You know I wonder if the deer are getting smarter?  They are telling stories.

Oh guess what else is going on this Tuesday? yep dentist again. I'm getting really sick of handing them over my $$ continually.  I'm starting to think there are different rates for different customers.

Anyone know why Dice is plural and Di is not? Where did they get that C?

I have Zero energy today, I feel great after my walks and sleep like a rock but in the day? I just want to go back to bed? zzzzzzz are calling (zees for you USA, and zed if you don't like me saying zeeeeee)

Random Tuesday Thoughts, bring on the Tuesday

I'm so holidayed up, that it feels like Monday. I almost forgot it was Tuesday/and Garbage Day because yesterday was a Holiday Monday and felt like Sunday.

I was just reading over at Keely's about her leaning tower or Tree? I wonder if this neighbour is also telling Gertie and so and so that they should sue for the tree? hmmmmm Or maybe I'm the only evil gossip in my neighbourhood.

That reminds me I must get our of my nightie, I've got a package coming and uh this is not presentable and I'm sure my neighbour that sneakily stays home some days is bound to see me at the door and the Purolator guy will get a eye full cause well... oh just go read how Stacie goes to her Grad....

I may have lost 7.4lbs in 3wks (tomorrow I hope to lose another .8? all pray  now for the altar of truth to lie to me!) but I've got a bit to go! I should not be wearing that (I've since changed) to answer any doors! ACK!

The Holiday was so very very nice. I had heard that some parts of Canada got snowfalls, but here it was Sun sun sunny! we reached a high of 34C with the humidex. Yes there was humidex. I had every window in the house open in hopes of a cross wind. no such luck, stupid walls in the way.  We had Blizzards Saturday, The boys had (note I didn't) Orange Julius drinks on Sunday and then small DQ cones on Monday. I also manged to buy my boys a t-shirt each, and ball caps. I had to buy AJ more caps because I'm crazy. I'm starting to see lice in my dreams?

I bought more shampoo on Saturday too, more tea tree oil shampoos. For all the minty fumes, everyone's hair is super soft.

I'm still walking, aiming for 5nights a week, I'm hoping to make up for some lost time Sunday night with a double long walk tonight, we'll see... please mosquitoes, leave me alone.

Green tea is awesome! a nice drink on a hot day actually, I'm surprised that even HOT out and inside and sticking to everything and everyone, I still want tea? hot tea?

I'd love it if someone would send me this free... :P  It's very thirst quenching and it's all about getting your liquids in right? having them taste good is an added plus right?

Crop Circle, the only ones playing in it so far this year? the fox! I still dont' hve a great picture, she just sits there.

Mr5 's potatoes though are starting to sprout up! we planted 3 sets of eyes from a bag of  poatoes I had under the counter that we didn't eat. they are coming. I did work out the camera but they aren't on the computer yet... Tomorrow I'll have pics.

Mr10 is just over a month away from 11!!! and it's his magic birthday 11 on 11. He hasn't decided what to do yet. We have not decided what to suggest.


Mr 5 is watching Christmas cartoons on VHS tapes from say 1998? ever notice that the kids in Frosty the snow men never wear enough clothes? who wears a dress, or no pants under a winter coat and scarf when there's enough snow on the ground to build a snow man? weirdddddddddd

Random Tuesday Thoughts, Dentist so it's Tuesday

If you've been reading here for the last year, you've come to realize that I spend a lot of Tuesday's at the dentist. Remember readers don't let your dental care lapse!!! it could cost you a LOT of fillings, and removal of old filling and new fillings. I really now wonder how many of my teeth are actual teeth in there? Cleanings are getting easier though.

Tomorrow Mr5 gets to go to School orientation! ACK!! and a bus ride around the school. This should be "fun" LOL

I'm going to have to leave MRalmost11 nad Mr8 playing in the school yard while we do all this. I'm sure they can handle it. :P

I noticed some dresses on sale this week (and I use the word sale loosely as they are not cheap)and they have "Curve-tech". Apparently Curve-tech has built in bra with padded, underwire cups. So I have to ask. IF you need to wear a bra in your dress, isn't it safe to assume that your "girls" are big and that they don't need extra padding? really? I have the same problem everysingle year with bathing suits. If I wanted them bigger? I'd put an eye out or something. you know if someone got close.. maybe I should stop that talk now...


I've read 3 surveys this week and all of them asked what  are you currently reading? Blogs? isn't the answer they are looking for, so I'm off in search of a good book. Anyone with suggestions? Nicholas Sparks is not on my list. too much blah blah blah in the ones I've read. Action would be great, funny is good too.

OK new goal in life, rid myself of that Stupid Starfleet Commander Extreme game. Step one, leave LEADERSHIP... done.  I think like Alcohol? this may take steps?

Another goal in life? last Wednesday I went back to my weight watchers meetings. I even stayed after the meeting for a refresher. Sometimes you just need someone to say "yeah it's possible again"

Why is it I just had to say "keep  your feet, hands, arms and words to yourself"?

Rogers? really? door to door marketing? not making me feel so secure if this is how you are going to push your products. I get my flyers, I don't want, I get my phonecalls I dont' want and you advertise on TV oh wait I don't get that thankfully :(

kids are fun, I'm sure I need more, since I'm not insane yet, this must not be the limit? then again, I think hubbie is insane.. shhhh don't tell him I said that..  I'll send my Babydust off to Keely!


Why is it that the younger two think that driving the older one crazy is a good thing? Poor mralmost 11 he's trying to complete a book report. i'm sure the other two have created a majority of the delay in completion of his masterpiece?

Wow! just had to check on my fleet.. so I can send it off again... BTW speaking of that game, ever notice how you can meet a lot of interesting people on the internet? Well send out some less pain vibes to my new friend Stephen! :)


Random, did I tell you about the reindeer that came for easter? I wonder if that's why my Christmas gifts were not exactly what I wrote Santa for? do you think the Easter bunny stole his reindeer?

Tuesday, and Tea got to love the tea

Random Tuesday Hits again.

Happy Tuesday to those that know what I'm talking about. If you don't know what Random Tuesday is, you'll have to go to Keely's and  read all about it.

maybe it's not really Tuesday? oh that would be bad, that would mean I've had my head stuck in a online game for more then a week and 1/2 without looking up.

Critter count, yep, new critter in the works... I have yet to see it but there have been stories of said critter. LICE! evil ugly lice. I haven't cleaned my house so great in years! I'm eyeing the walls and baseboards and thinking they could use a scrub down? Me Scrubbing baseboards?

I cant' confirm they got in the house or on the bodies but I can't confirm they didn't so I treated 1 child out of 3. More hot water and hot dryer work today. The big plus here is the house is looking better by the day/minute. I'm getting caught up on laundry. I think I'd rather do the raccoon, deer, fox, or bear critter count from now on. Deal? yeah Deal!

I'm still babysitting on Wednesdays. It's just that easy money that keeps the little one safe while waiting for him mom to drive home from work.

Cancer sucks too, so do what you can to avoid cancer and don't smoke! don't be stupid.

I lost a family member last week to cancer, she was only 40! Cancer sucks! I had moved off the island a year after she married my cousin and didn't get to know her well, but still I miss her.

Been talking to friends online nad off about kids lunches.

Ouch!!! hard toast crumbs hurt when they are trying to go down the wrong way, cough attack!!

Oh I took the shears (do you spell it like that?) off the front window in the livingroom and now I don't want to put them up again. It's so nice nad bright. I have drapes (I know you're totally calling 70's-80's Fail on that) but they look ok and don't fully close as they aren't for function but looks?

oh back to the lunches, so I've been reading about how school lunches aren't that great but you know what? making lunches that kids will eat? at school to keep them going until you can force feed them a "real meal"? is hard too.
I have one child that has been living on either Cheese whiz (Calcium in the brand name one) for about 2/3 of the year so far. The other days he eats low sugar strawberry Jam/jelly/preserves on bread. My kids though do not know white bread. I don't use white bread for anything here, I don't even use the pretend it's white it looks white but really it's whole wheat bread either. They don't know white bread. They know the odd dinner roll or white bagel but usually I buy them in whole wheat too, because well white bread is blah, there is no flavour.

Being the only girl in the house means that all the princess movies are mine.

Being the only girl in the house means I've got to sit through old transformer cartoons on VHS.

my camera battery is dead, again, I never seem to remember to charge it.

5yrolds do not wake up well and are ALWAYS hungry, I need to find him some food. we're out of whole wheat flour too, (see I even bake with the stuffs)

I think we'll go for a walk today, can you all watch the house? it's clean now.
