Friday Fill-ins, Spring? are you there?

1. Oh gross! I thought it was _spring, but nope, it's snow and slush and mud season, oh and don't forget the rain now____.

2. __Not Making A Bucket List...___ well THAT's off my bucket list!

3. No, _I will not eat any more beef this week, really, there's been a huge beef surplus in my fridge, it's got to go, move over cow, bring in the Chicken____.

4. __I pray for all those in Japan and surrounding Counties in the path of the Tsunami with all my___ heart and soul.

5. And then __I also pray for my own families here and count the blessings that are really just snow and rain and ice and minimal weather discomforts in comparison___.

6. I can't forget __that next time the boys are off, I must buy easier Wooden puzzles. Today AJ had a scream fest because parts of his car puzzle wouldn't stay in the right holes. I would also like to mention to Creatology? you have to get your cuts placed better. If part 32 should slide into slot 32? make it fit. Make sure they line up, Quality is everything to 6-11yrolds. Frustration is not what this 38yrold wants to hear about, I was looking for quiet zoned in activities, not something I had to fix For them, I've created a Formula one car and a Car today. Note I said "I". The Helicopter turned out great though, thanks___.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to __less rain but that's already been a dashed dream___, tomorrow my plans include __moving slush out of the ditch so the water can flow, if it doesn't melt tonight___ and Sunday, I want to _get to mass, maybe alone since others are whining, alone time with 300 other people? it's almost heavenly____! (cue the flood warnings... ACK! Radio is on can you tell?)

OH!!! also change your clocks this weekend if you do that in your locality!!

Random Tuesday Thoughts New Week New year

so I'm going to milk that whole new year thing for a bit longer, atleast until February.Random not but if you want more Random clickity click over to the unmom and get a badge...


I never really realize I'm using a run on sentence until I start blah blah blahing away and no one remembers what exactly I was talking about in the first place. I know what I mean but I'm sure others are getting very lost and then can't find their way back. I'll find me an English book somewhere to work on this. I'm sure I took English writing at some point inmy highschool/university/college life? Didn't I?

Well it's ended, the cable is back in the house. The boys are now zombies to the warm glow of the TV in the livingroom. That's the end of my wii time I'm sure, but I wonder I jsut wonder will it help the homework woos? (is that how you spell that?)
I have one son that hates doing homework well 2 that hate it and one that likes it because it's new and exciting. The oldest doesn't have a lot of friends or a lot to talk about, maybe with TV he'll be in the current loop as to what's going on in the world of real or TV dramas or cartoons? Teletoon here we come (that's almost cartoon network for you Americans, but Canadian Content)

So due to this TV thing, and my lack of working internet to listen and chat at blogtalk radio lastnight, I was up until 2am watching TV!. you know I totally should have been using that kid free time to say work out on the wii but again TV , real TV reception. (run on right? didn't see it coming, it ran on over)  I've heard people say Hoarders in their blog posts. OH DEAR GOD!!! it's a train wreck you can't keep  your eyes off and it's also a learning experience. I was totally able to point out all of hubbie's unnecessary collections. I also had a strike of fear when I saw a house with Avon boxes. This So can't be good for the avon name. ugh!  So next week when the boys are in school heheehe I'll go in and clear out 1 bedroom at a time. Anyone need puzzles for 1-2yrolds? cause well I've got the puzzles but no 1or 2yrolds. Anyone?? no. There may be pieces missing.


I wonder if this is also part of why Santa brought that mop? oh boy. The tree is still up but that's because it's Still Christmas in my house until the 6th.  @ more days and the demolishion will begin. I did take down some of the Christmas cards I got. Must make a master list for next year today,

Oh speaking of the new year, yes it's up there in the title, I got a MOM calandar on sale from avon.ca yep! it's on the way to my house By Monday. It one of those Mom organizational calandars. YAY I might get organized.

Also must find shredder.  Also must some how figure out how to remove the "artwork" the boys have made, anyone got tips on how to "save"but not?

The Island and Beach I miss

In August I posted a picture of hubbie and I at the beach on the island. It was a Wordless Wednesday Titled What I miss...

This was July/August. And now?

Borrowed from a FB group.. this was Christmas Day...

The Force of Nature is Great and Grand. It will take a lot to save this beach. I'm so very glad we had the chance to get there this past summer. We almost didn't have the time. We made the time and it was well worth it.

Random Tuesday Thoughts, Ice time?

Mornings, aren't my strong point lately. I think it has a lot to do with how dark it still is when we are getting up in the morning. 623am shouldn't still be dark but it is, I want me some more zzzzzzzzzies.

yes I said zeeeeessss not Zeds, that's what the kids say, I had the zeds culture shocked out of me in New England. It's very hard to spell your name to Americans when you say Zed.

Wii fitplus and I spent some quality time together lastnight I went over my target of 265 calorie burn. It's taking me an hour but it's getting done.  I'm highly frustrated that I can't find those 20balls while doing the free island bike ride. I WILL get there.

Homework went well lastnight, knocking on the wood! (what? susposed to use my hand? that might explain the headache) AJ completed all his math before supper, and then read extra for his reading. YAY!

I ran in to 4 people in the grocerystore yesterday, I guess it's time I started recognizing the locals?  only 6.5yrs later?

I was out to the dentist last week so didn't post. It was Tuesday, next appointment is on a Wednesday. But my hygenist was very happy with my clean teeth, hopefully may will be even easier.  oh I got a new "prize" one of those tiny tuff kind of toothbrushes, finally I can get behind my wisdom tooth that's not happy with the way I've been treating it.


Boys! wow they eat a lot. Sunday night AJ had 2 large homemade waffles, an egg, syrup and then 4 slices of toast? where does that go? really he's got a tiny belly, where did it go?

Odd occurrence yesterday, I made 4 beds! It totally freaked me out. I usually insist everyone else make their own beds. I'm a little concerned. I'm sure it

I don't usually like Hockey but was chatting with a friend today, she was telling me her daughter was going to get to see a team practice.  It remindedme how much I like watching Live Hockey. There is something about the sound of the skates on the ice and the swish of the puck as it flies through the air.  I should probably take the boys out to a local game.

OK I must go save my Starfleet there is talk of battle and loss of ships. ACK! anyone got any hydrogen out there?

Maybe I'd get some ice fix if I went skating instead.

1. Good times: _are watching your kids on stage and enjoying what they are doing and realizing wow they CAN do that and WOW! My 2 oldest boys Wowwed me today, they were on key, on time and happy little Christmas singers, players and actors.

2. __I can't wait to finish decorating__ my home.

3. Sleigh bells ring __but not around here, not a lot of call for Sleighbells, lots of car horns, snow plows, salt trucks though____.

4. __I'm only ready for Christmas "a"___________ little.

5. Once more _I've baked a few things but don't know where they are, I was sure there were cookies in the freezer but for some reason, I only see the orange loaf. I didn't tell nayone about the loaf so maybe that's why it's easy to find. I'll have to hide the rest of my baking better, from myself__________.

6. ___Can you believe that 2009 is coming to an_____ end?

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to getting that tree assembled and decorated___, tomorrow my plans include __Bowling with the boys, shopping at the local market, finding more gifts for family and friends___ and Sunday, I want to ___pretend to relax while getting more tasks completed, because I'm ready to be READY for Christmas__!

First "storm" of the Season

In Stereotypical Canadian Fashion.


It's snowing.
My BBQ is still outside.
The boys will mostly likely be home tomorrow for a snow day.
The snow hasn't really started. Flake 1 and 2 have been sighted but I nothing since,and the cancellations have started on the radio.
Hubbie has been asked to bring home Milk, Eggs, Butter, and Bread, just incase of starvation, this never happens, it's just that well those things are empty at the moment.
The boys have a Christmas concert tomorrow, maybe.
Tuques and mittens, skipants and jackets are all lined up at the door for the mad morning dash to the bus, iffff there is a bus.
All cars have been snowtire ready for 2wks now. This is the most ahead we've ever been for winter.
The snow blower is tuned up, and the shovels are by the doors.
Deck chairs are on the deck vs on the lawn, see there's already snow out there from 3days ago, it's just not going to melt before tonight, but maybe if we get the rain too, it will all be gone tomorrow.

And GO Hockey, oh wait it's not Saturday so no "Hockey Night in Canada" tonight.

Update from my small help staff of 3 in the wii department, flakes 50-80thousand have arrived.

Bring on winter eh?

Winter... 3wks 6days

Lastnight we had another storm, you know SNOWWWWWWWWWWWW, and well this is the update that I'm sure has you all Glued to your computer monitors.




I also have of your viewing pleasure a picture of one of these chairs without snow, all warm and cozy in my dinning room, waiting for spring.



I took this one this morning before the boys went to school note boy in corner, and also note that the counter is the same size as the chair. I have a very difficult time believing that spring will arrive on it's designated time. You would think given that I've been a Canadian for thirty... (grumble along) years, that I'd realize that spring is a figment of my imagination. My years in NH where my neighbours pulled out their kid book on April 27th, 2001 have spoiled me. I will confess I'm a wuss now. Yep A wuss! I have no tolerance for a long 5-6months of winter. I want my sun, not too much, cause I assure you I can complain about sitting here sweltering in 35-40C weather as well. Yes I'm sure the word wuss went through your mind, again. I did though, go walking out in this weather lastnight. When the snow as still falling, I was out there Treking to the store to buy a local Paper. It was cold, then I came home and pushed aside some of the snow to the front door. I think you all must be as tired of snow as I am of writing about it, but really what else is there to talk about? it's Winter!
