Traveling Heart Shaped Rock

No I did not forget you Heart Shaped Rock. Well yes I did forget you when I went to New River Beach on the 14th of August. I'm sorry, but the trip was a bit longer than I expected so you poor heart shaped Rock? you stayed home in your cute little bag sent from Patty in CT. oh she wrapped you up so nice. I'm going to be sending out to Tracy in the same bag. I can't mess with perfection.

The envelope you arrived in? had seen better days. I suspect that the custums peeps had a agreat time digging into the insulated bag? What were they expecting? I have to wonder. "oh look a rock?"
 probably for the cash and valuable prizes they thought were bound for Canada? Patty I do love my Cards. I LOVE the Font.

Well Rock I did promise to take you to my favourite places. This Rock is "my" favorite summertime location in NB. I didn't get you intime to take you to Cape Breton Island but that doesn't mean I couldn't take you to a Beach. I do love going out to the Beach in the Summer. As you know here in the Artic (HA! kidding) Tundra we have snow for about 6-8months at a time. (well almost)


So without more blah blah blah? here is The ROCK!

First we enjoyed some Sun and a good book. It's alone time here because the lifeguards? they are on duty. It's like "almost free" babysitting. YES I watchy my own kids out of the corner of my eye.  (pokes nose back in book)

 And there is sun protection, loving this Avon hat. Keeping the face young and healthy.

But then dear rock? I left you alone on the beach blanket in the sand with Hubbie and I went swimming. (dog paddling, I know I've got to get my head in the water)


So Rock This week you are going back into an package and heading to see Tracy. I do wonder what she will do with you?  Thanks Ann, over at AnnagainandAgain too  for Bringing the rocky goodness to the World.  I hope Rock you enjoyed your prolong Stay in NB.

Well I know she must be stopping by and admiring my pre designed and "FREE" Lighthouse back ground? Or been watching me grow out of my clothes in the wrong direction. Yes that must be it. I've got some extra "curve" to me this summer. ACK!

So in accepting this award I am required to tell you 7 things about myself. Let me see, what do you not know yet?

1. I'm back on the weight loss wagon. Yesterday I took out my note book and I'm journalling my food intake. The kicker was lastnight after the boys were all in bed. Oh did I want to dig into a "treat". I didn't. I went and read a book.<- Again! note the Again.

2. I love taking the boys to the beach. It's the best part of the summer, they are happy to play in the sand and float in the waves and splash each other and no one says "MOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM he hit me. Today it's pouring rain, so there are more MOM'S! 



3. I'm nervous for this coming school year. My boys are not learning to be patient, to budget, or to wait for anything. They want everything instantly and without any thought of how they will accomplish their goals. Sad but true.

4. If I could go back to the sleep, eat, burp, poop days of raising children? I'd totally do it. That is without adding to the current number of children of course.

5. I love a good sale, but I don't like the paying part.

6. I am addicted to those stupid Zygna games. Really they suck, their developers love to release things with bugs in them. They never ever work and they must hate Linux because they never work the way I want them to. Plug and play? HA!

7. I'm also addicted to reading blogs. It's like watching from the outside looking in. I'm sure that anyone that's read my comments on their blogs has figure that one out. So keep writing. :)
p.s. Karen finish the book. :P

My Purse or Their's?

Welcome to my blog if you've come over from else where due to this Tagolicious fun?  Karen over at If I could escape
Tagged me in this little Meme and award. which I found so much fun really who doesn't want to talk about all the interesting things that can be found in your Handbag/Purse. So here we go.

First I actually have a "newish" purse, I bought it in December to go to a party, and didn't stop using it. I don't like BIG Bags and I'm finally past the point of needing a bag to also double a diaper bag, YAY! My last purse, my hubbie bought from Sears in New England in 1999, so definitely time for a change. OK so this is what my new purse currently holds....Waiting for pictures... (sorry it's so far away but the strap was long and it really needed to be in there)


The microfilm, a menu for a local restaurant we went to last Wednesday and of course the bottle of hand sanitizer, I bought this bottle in December after I bought the purse. I didn't use much though, it's dries out my hands and up here? dried out hands don't work well.

My dentist would be proud, dental floss, 2 loonies, reciepts,(now cleaned out),a grocery list that was at the bottom of the bag, never remember where the list is when I need it.  Wallet that I love from a different purse and keep using. Pens from a friends business from 1998, pencil with Disney princesses on it from my sister in consolation for having a house of boys and knowing my purse would be full of boy stuffs, she feels for me. She knows, she's due this month with her second, I've got more boy feeling. Then there is the blush and lipstick of course. 

next we have more makeup, MJ's lipsol and MJ's (1)Mitten, "Mom can you hold this.." uh where?  and stuffed in it goes. And that cap? that's his collection, he's collecting water, and pop caps? I'm slowly throwing them away, couldn't he find another thing to collect? please?

Around the World in 80 Clicks

I've been Tagged! I'm going to participate so bare with me as I work on getting this right the first time! First the copy and paste. I was tagged by Cara over at Momma Says in this post Around the World in 80 Clicks.

The Rules.

Now for my 5 things...

1. I love that Parenthood has taught me I do not know everything, my kids continually inform me of the things I do not know or just how uninformed I am about the real world.
2. I love that Parenthood teaches me just how much I can love my kids, I remember the day I was handed my first boy, TJ was so tiny, and I got to hold him for only a few seconds before he was taken to be checked out. He was a 5wk preemie. I also remember talking to my Mom on the phone and saying "I love him SO much" and her saying back "I know" cause she did she knew exactly how much because that was how much she loved me and my siblings.
3. I love that Parenthood is constantly changing, there is no room to be bored here. No way, they rules change constantly and the little men change with each day, if I thought I had it "down" and knew what I was doing yesterday, I was being cocky cause today it's going to change.
4. I Love that Parenthood was given to me by my Hubbie and that I can see my Hubbie in my boys. It's those certain looks that he gets, or the chin dipples that I see in TJ that Hubbie has, the blue eyes in all of them. I also see some of his attitudes, and it's almost funny to watch.
5. I Love the Cuddles and hugs and kisses of Parenthood. I love when they used to cuddle in close for a feeding or hold my fingers while they got down to the job at hand. The tiny little fingers and toes and now seeing how big those tiny toes and fingers are getting. How BIG A hug can get from then to now, and I look forward to the Hugs of the future.
