Happy Father Day

This morning we're all up trying to be VERY quiet so that Daddy can sleep in, it's the only thing he really wants for Father's Day every year. It doesn't work, it doesn't work for mother's day and it doesn't work for Father's Day.
They are currently trying to make cards, they made cards in school but this is the cards they make at home. They want to show Daddy he's special in their way. I want him to know he's special too.
It's our special Dad that would go out on a Saturday and pick up 1000lbs of play sand. And the following weekend he goes and gets a big load of dirt to put in a planter box for kids to plant cucumbers that he or they don't even like but he know it's good for them.
It's our special Dad that would take 1 or 2 of his boys with him when he can see that mommy is at the end of her rope or they are having a bad day.
It's our Special Dad that will volunteer in a room full of women to be on the Parent's Committee at the school because he wants to know what's going on in the school and find out exactly how he can help.
It's our special Dad that will drive a bit out of his way some days so that they an sleep in and get to school a bit later.
It's our special Dad that will teach his sons the joy of music as only even if it means blasting the tunes and cracking my foundation, cause you know it's for the kids! I apparently missed the Karaoke Moment in that one. The camera was buried in the laundry pile! oops

And to My special Dad, the man who let me ride in the back of a Pick up Box while he wenched it up off the back of his truck frame so that he could get it all greased up. I just now realized why we were inside the box? So he knew where we were! Because my boys who want to be everywhere Daddy is it works. My Brother and I were in the box, my dad was getting the truck work done. To the dad who took me shopping when my mom was tired of listening to "I don't like that" funny when your Dad helps you pick out clothes they look cooler? I guess it's all apart of being Daddy's Girl?

He does all these things for his boys! and I love it because he's doing it for my Boys, he's a very special man and a great Dad. Happy Father's Day and to all the Dad's. The Cards are now completed so it's time to work on the whispering and inside voices.

Your kiddos are definitely lucky to have such a caring Daddy. You are blessed, too, to have a man like that as a husband/father for your kids. Your Dad seems like a great father, too. Enjoy the day w/ your family!
