The boys headed off to the bus today! She arrived on time and it seems that nothing changed, I'm not sure yet if the boys will have the same teacher.

Hubbie changed around my computer so i'm stil working out the bugs on how to get photos uploaded! I'm bummed too because this is like the first year in 6 of having school kids that I remembered to take pictures at the busstop!

Was on the island on the weekend. The new car! totally saved us some gas$ 50litres to get to a certain location that usually took us 90litres(<------ yeah I'm all bilingual there can't you tell?) in my van. I will totally still be taking the van for all "big" trips that require any stuff. The trunk was a good size. I gave all the boys backpacks vs suitcases, and still had room for a large cooler, and boys toys.

Sunday we BBQed at the cottage, the weather was perfect, not to cold and when the clouds rolled in you just had to wait for it to pass before getting warm again. No one got sunburned.

Hubbie manned the BBQ with my Semi BIL and they made the most perfectly cooked steak! Did you know that Hotwings taste better on the BBQ?

My Dad had and ATV for moving stuffs around up there and Hubbie gave it a whirl the rest of the day was spent saying "no you can't buy one of those too!" My Brother and his family all do "dirtbikes" so off they went to the dirtbike trails. Much dirt was had by all. My youngest sister also got herself on a dirtbike! my Semi-BIL was all "no this is not going on your Santa List!" I said the Same to Hubbie.

AJ took off into the woods with my Brother but didn't tell me where he was going. I've never been in teh woods there, so I'll give that a go next year.

No tires were harmed in the taking of this trip!

I think I will need to bring the Captain with me next year though, it's definitely a nice trip down when you have SpongeBob along for the ride. Season Disc Sets are a good investment, on sale or not!

This week Hubbie is heading for a Spice Night, i was going to go too but I'm not that into puking over the side of the deck when encountering something a bit too hot for my tongue. Remember what goes in must go out and if you mouth is in searing hot pain then surely your other end will be too later in teh evening? I'm just putting that out there. (see I didn't say any unpg words, but my kids are totally going to love reading this in 10yrs time)

So off they went this morning to grade 5 and 3, no more "little kid" side of the school until next year. MJ and I are home alone! he's now feeding the cat, "your favorite snack..." (said to the cat, her reply"meowwwwwwwwwwwwwww, oh the humans are back in the house"

Even the cottage had better TV reception then I get here! this is rediculous!

So now I'm going to declutter some toyboxes and dresser drawers of clothes and toys that don't fit and get my Christmas Music CD's Ready.

Sponge Bob has saved my arse a number of times, I don't leave the house without him.

Yay for having 2/3 of your kids at school! The cottage sounds so nice and relaxing... we're coming with next year.

Did I read Casey right? You're inviting us all to the cottage next year to party? WooHoo! Count me in! ;)

Sponge Bob sure is a life saver, isn't he? That's what he really should have been instead of a sponge....I'm just sayin'.

Good luck fixing all the bugs your hubby created when he changed around your computer - that's why my hubby's not allowed to touch my laptop...he tends to break things with a single look. ;)

Happy RTT! Yay for 2/3 of the kids being back to school! :)

Stopping by from The Un Mom:

Hope you get those bugs out of your computer. My wife always asks me to upload pictures since she doesn't want to lose anything.

I love that you saved big money on gas! You're lucky to have that cottage. You've been enjoying a lot of time away this summer.

A Spice Night? Oh good heavens. What kind of bathroom night will follow that?

Ok so I just read Stacy's reply now and you all want to come to the cottage. I'll make you a list!
WATER, must bring drinkable water,
Bug spray, and cintronella,
Sunscreen, or you could hide under the woods,
food,
booze
more booze
matches
firewood,
Candy
plungers
compass
good quality tires, as there is no helipad yet, so you need to drive in and then good walking shoes/hiking boots,
children, someone has to smack the bugs
wood for more walls, if you are coming you have to work, before the BBQ hubbie was nailing up siding.
BBQ propane,
Screen suits
bathing suits for the escape from the woods to the water
I think that should help, did I mention food? There is a liquour store about 1.5hours away from the cottage you may have to all stop there.

oops I forgot to mention,
Garbage bags, there is no garbage service up there
and laundry bags, to bring your laundry back to the city
more booze, oh and there is no internet!

You are so funny! ("No tires were harmed in the taking of this trip".)

You know, my shoulders are hurting this morning because I went into the girls room yesterday (while they were in school) and started that declutter process. How in the world did they acquire that much stuff?!? (Alright, I'll take some responsibility ;-> )

I can't wait to see back to school pics. Thing 2's love affair with Spongebob is strong and deep. He loves it when I watch w/ him. Now I want a steak.
